When we spoke to them at the Home Show they said they would pour a concrete footer under the versalock block for stability. There was no concrete poured under the block. We had to make them take the wall down twice because it was leaning and no support. When we asked about the concrete footer they poured dry concrete under the blocks when they took it down the first time. They did not put a drain behind the wall which was in the estimate. Their crew was nice enough, but they arrived on the job between 8am and 9am , took an hour for lunch and left the job between 1:30pm and 2:30pm. He required half of the payment up front. After a few days we had to fire them and did not receive any of our down payment back. Definitely would not recommend Pfingston for retaining walls. They didn't get to the steps or driveway so I don't have an opinion on their concrete work. I would not recommend paying half up front.

The project that Pfingston Concrete completed for us included installing a privacy fence, digging a French drain with backyard sump pump, backfilling the yard, building a retaining wall for flower beds, planting several shrubs and a tree and pouring new sidewalks and driveway. This work was completed during the hottest period of the summer. They ran in to unexpected issues such hitting buried bricks in almost every area where they were digging. They soldiered through to get the job completed. They were able to begin my project a little ahead of schedule and made steady progress through completion. The outstanding quality that I most appreciated was the open communication. Jerry is easy to talk to and doesn't hesitate to ask questions to confirm that we are on the same page. He always showed up on schedule and contacted me when rainstorms prohibited them from working. Jerry would always keep me in the loop of what items were completed and which things were to be completed next. He would often send pictures and videos of completed work. We've been working with other crews of roofers, electricians, plumbers, and general contractors. It was often a struggle to get these other crews to the job site and to receive updates. So it was greatly appreciated that Pfingston Concrete went above and beyond to keep our project on schedule and keep us updated every step of the way. I'm writing this post to recommend Dane Contracting for anyone who is considering getting a new…read moreroof, or an existing roof replaced. We have lived in our home for twenty years, and when our roof developed its second leak, we decided to look seriously at getting the roof replaced. Ryan from Dane was very responsive to our request for an estimate, and his estimate was detailed, professional-looking, and (most importantly) about $2000 less than the other three estimates we got. His crew was here when promised, did a good job of protecting the house and the landscaping when they did the demolition of the old roof, and diligent about getting the new one on, to the point that I had to ask them to get off the roof when a thunderstorm was rolling through, because I didn't want them to get struck by lightning. There was some damage to our window screens on the back side of the house because of falling shingles, and Ryan replaced those screens at no cost to us. Overall, I was very pleased with the courtesy, professionalism, and promptness of the Dane contracting crew. I would recommend them without hesitation.

We added an addition to…read moreour house and they were one of many subcontractors who completed portions of work: 1) New roof for the addition and replacement of roof on the existing house, and 2) Siding, soffits and gutters on new addition and a portion of existing house. Our project was delayed several times due to unforeseen circumstances outside their control, but The Way Construction patiently worked with us as we worked through the delays. I got a quote from The Way, it was reasonable, and all reviews of them online were positive, so I paid the required half up front to get "on the schedule". The check cleared on 7/17/25, so I called that day to get scheduled. I was told I'd receive a call back within 24-48 hours. After not hearing back from them, I called again on 7/28/25. I did receive a call back later that day, and it was at that point I learned there wasn't a "schedule". I was put on a list, and told I'd receive a call/text the week before they came. They said it'd be 4-8 weeks before they could come. On 9/29/25 (9 weeks later), I called to get an update. I received a voicemail from Kyle saying the repair order had been sent out this week, and the crews should be out next week. He said he'd call if anything changes. They did not come the next week, nor did I get notified about it. I called them on 10/10/25 (end of the 10th week) and was told the production team would give me a call back within 24-48 hours. I did not get a call back, so I called again on 10/14/25 (11 weeks later). I got a call back from Kyle later that day; he said he was waiting to hear back from the gutter crew. They came on Monday 10/20/25 (12 weeks later) completely unannounced. Of course, it was when I was out of town, so I reviewed their work when I returned on 10/24/25. Their work was satisfactory EXCEPT they forgot to connect one of the downspouts to the underground drainage. So I called them on 10/24/25 to inform them of the issue. Kyle called me back that day. I texted photos of the issue to him, and he said they should be able to fix it next week. Nothing happened the next week. So on Wed 11/5/25 (14 weeks) I texted Kyle. He responded they'd be out either tomorrow or Friday. On 11/13/25 (15 weeks), it still hadn't been fixed. I texted Kyle again. He sent Jonathan out that day to look at it, to get a bill of materials, and that he'd be fixing it the next morning. On 11/20/25 (16 weeks), Jonathan came out and fixed the issue. Sooo...the time from my deposit being cashed and the project completion was 16 weeks. I finally received a bill for the remainder on 1/7/26...which is what has prompted me to post this review. I do not recommend The Way Construction.

We started with a Spring clean up, that included hedge/ tree trimming, followed by bi- weekly mowing. We added weed maintenance once we found we needed it. Very impressed with all services and fair prices. This year we did another spring clean up and a rather back breaking landscaping job. They surpassed our expectations. We are thankful we made that initial call and that they are so reasonable. The landscaping is amazing, they made a great plan to fit our budget and we are so happy.
