I have been using this dog boarding and grooming retreat intermittently for the past three years…read more Recently, I boarded two of my dogs for three days, which included playtime and grooming for my standard poodle, as well as a bath for my teacup yorkie. The online booking process was quite easy. Unfortunately, my last visit was disappointing due to overbooked grooming services and poor check-in communication. I received multiple calls with various frustrating excuses, including one that said they couldn't find the paperwork detailing the grooming style I wanted for my poodle and another that cited staffing shortages. These were just a couple of the reasons provided. I received these calls while I was at work, which was exactly why I had boarded my dogs--to avoid interruptions unless absolutely necessary. Since I remained in San Antonio, I expected better communication and reliable follow-through, especially given the high costs involved. I wish I had been informed from the start about the issues so they could have been addressed while I was not in the middle of giving presentations. After all my troubles, I was offered a 10% discount on the grooming, but they ultimately did a subpar job. I am very disappointed with the staff I spoke to, including the manager. I didn't want to express my frustration immediately, so I waited three weeks before posting this review.

My poodle was matted, couldn't see from her long bangs. She loves running around outside and…read morerolling in the leaves so who knows what was in her coat but I could feel things. I emailed a few shops but no only responded. I finally called Le Paw and they scheduled her for two days out. Dropped her off and staff was introduced to us. They all seemed really nice and friendly. I got a call that she was covered in ticks. A couple of weeks back I left her with her mom and dad and they have ticks so I wasn't surprised. I pick her up and she's absolutely adorable. Looking like a fine poodle. They did an amazing job. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I wasn't told removing the ticks would be an additional $50! I would have agreed to it of course but when you're on a strict budget $50 is a lot. Especially in these hard times. I had to be sure I could afford her grooming before finally booking her appointment in the first place.
