See below: I brought my service dog in on Tuesday due to a family members dog tearing her ear. The girls upfront were WONDERFUL! HOWEVER, the veterinarian, JOSHUA SAVAGE SHIELDS, did NOT thoroughly go over all the steps with me of what he was going to do prior to treating my service dog. I said I DID NOT want an all over general sedation. ONLY localized and he did not honor that. This is VERY IMPORTANT because if your service dog is drugged and sedated it cannot do its job once it leaves the vet for several hours (not 30 minutes as he said) and he disregarded my request. No wonder his middle name is "SAVAGE" MORE IMPORTANTLY: I called in two days later because my dog was having severe diarrhea from the antibiotics prescribed and I wanted to know what I can do to help with that since charcoal is not an option and it would pull the medicine out of her system. They said we can't help you because you're not a client here anymore DESPITE THE FACT I PAID FOR SERVICES! Be very careful if they decide that they don't like your constructive feedback for how your visit went then they will just dump you for any kind of follow up even though you paid for their service

We were in such deep emotions knowing the amount of pain she was suffering. But Dr. Shields and his phenomenal team changed things around for our Tenshi's broken elbow. In terms of Toby's Pet Services, my hubbs found them on the well-known neighborhood app and we reached out. We were able to schedule an appointment relatively quickly. I scheduled for a Monday and they reached out Saturday because of a hole in their schedule the following morning. I agreed to the time and they showed up on-time (actually about 15 minutes early). The groomer was friendly and he took great care of my ladies. The day after the service, I received a "report" with before and after pics, which I thought was a great touch. (Think: the old school before-and-after Nutrisystem ads lol) Considering the time savings (making an appointment, getting into the car, waiting hours for them to be ready, wrangling the dogs out of the location), the cost is justified. Truth be told, it works out to be about the same price with the convenience of the technician picking up your dog from the front door. I will definitely book again!

Our pup of 13 years passed in March, and MJ could not do enough to help us. Recently, we rescued a sweet kitty from a storm drain, who appeared feral, and very much scared; and MJ was able to put our kitty at ease. She recommended things to do to assist with building trust, offered suggestions on foods, calming techniques, etc. Dr. Gonzales, during our kitty's exam took so much time to do a thorough exam; recommend ways to help her socialize, and toys that would stimulate her. We are new to the area, and are so thankful that we found this Vet Med Ctr; especially MJ and Dr. Gonzales. Highly recommend. They kept her for about 6 hours total. They did a great job and we are so thankful it went so well!

Extremely disappointed and heartbroken by our experience…read more Our 3.5-lb puppy had been vomiting all night, so we took her to the West Columbia clinic immediately, knowing she had very little weight to lose. After a brief look, we were told they did not have a Parvo test kit and that we needed to go immediately to the Brazoria clinic. We were told they would call ahead to let Brazoria know we were coming specifically for Parvo testing. When we arrived at the Brazoria clinic, our puppy was taken to the back for an exam. We reasonably assumed that the Parvo test and blood work were being done, since that was the entire reason we were sent there. Instead, the veterinarian blamed us for her illness, stating that feeding her plain chicken breast the night before caused a GI infection. His demeanor was dismissive and arrogant. Relieved we weren't told it was Parvo, we trusted his diagnosis and went home -- after paying a very expensive bill. The next day, our puppy continued to decline and had not eaten in over 24 hours. When I called the Brazoria clinic, I was told -- very matter-of-fact -- that our very sick puppy was just being "stubborn" and would eat when she was hungry. The following morning she was dramatically worse, barely able to walk. We rushed her to a different veterinarian. After extensive testing, X-rays, and blood work, she continued to deteriorate. At my insistence, they tested her for Parvo. Within 10 minutes, the results came back positive. We immediately called the Brazoria clinic and discovered that she was NEVER tested for Parvo there -- despite being sent to that location specifically for that reason. The veterinarian made the decision to completely disregard Parvo testing. Had our puppy been properly diagnosed days earlier, she would never have come so close to dying. We would not have spent thousands of dollars, nor been forced into emergency weekend hospitalization. Please save your time, money, and heartache and avoid both the Brazoria and West Columbia veterinary clinics. Their lack of thoroughness, accountability, and compassion nearly cost our puppy her life. According to them, she was "just stubborn."

Asked about them coming out, and although I didn't want to even think about it if she was better off being sent off to heaven. Girl said, yes Dr Souza can do that and he will bring a blanket to wrap her in. I said okay and she asked for payment of over $100 for mobile visit. I assumed that there might be an additional small charge worse case. Dr and asst showed up, spent a few minutes checking leg and speaking about situation and I decided it was best for her not to suffer. They were here about 15-20 min maybe. I took my other service dog for walk and probably 20 min after they left I get a call about paying for additional service. (Very unprofessional to bother someone that quick) I said I paid over $100 and they were here and provided service. There's an extra charge for blah blah.. nothing was mentioned when I asked about it on phone originally. I don't care charge card and I hung up. Very pissed off and my PTSD activated. 2x 100% disabled combat veteran and expect honesty, integrity and respect and got not much of that. Was charged a fairly large sum and the 15 min service was around $300. To me that is ridiculous. Make a little money I get it but don't take advantage of people. Dr was nice and seemed authentic but serious issues and would not recommend them.
