I think this is the best one. It is rarely really busy and when it is the staff seem to be able to deal with everyone very effeciently. I dont think it does vehicle licenses or passport checks but if you want to post a letter or parcel its definately the place to go! The staff always make sure that you get the right postage option (sometimes there seems quite a few to chooses from). It can sometimes get busy between 3.30 and 4.00 just after school finishes so probably best to avoid that time.

Despite their surly attitude, this post office is always busy as it is in a good location in the west end shopping area of Park Crescent. As well as offering the usual post office services, this shop also sells cards and handbags. Yes, handbags! I give them full marks for initiative as no-one else on Park Crescent sells them so they have found a gap in the market. There are lots of parking spaces in the nearby side streets and there are regular buses serving this shopping area. Barry Railway Station is a 15 minute walk away.

From 11am til 2pm you will almost certainly be queuing for at least 15 minutes. The staff are a little stressed sometimes but always polite and friendly. There is a photo booth for those gorgeous passport photos but nothing else in that room - all leaflets and stationery are only available at the counter.

When it was nearly Full Term in my school, I accidently lost my tablet in a bus (I most frequently take a minibus instead) but then, my driver, Jeyce talked to his co-driver and said "I lost my Amazon Kindle Fire 7 with a purple case (A lighter purple). I do have a picture of it! :) and then the co-driver found it and gave it to Jeyce and put it in his car. Today (The day of the review) after school he gave it to me. By no means as busy as the post office in the centre of town, this is a great one to pop into if you want to avoid the queues and spend your afternoon doing something productive instead. There is something British and charming about any post office, I think. In this age we live in swiftly moving towards a paperless society, then maybe one day these premises will, all around the country, become obsolete. Perhaps they'll just be empty brick shells that sell stamps to collectors and pencil sharpeners (although only artists would buy them). Balls of fluff will gather in the corners. But no! We cannot let this happen, we must support our local establishments. Without the postal system, how would housewives have affairs? How would charities give you free pens? I use this post office regularly as it is quite close to me, I never have to queue very long and the staff always smile. Usual post office activities of stamps, sending letters, parcels etc, pay bills, get cash at the counter, greetings cards for sale and also a small grocery section for your forgotten items or top up shopping.
