I have collected jewelry over the years and decided to check value on some items to see if I wanted to sell them. Dave was very patient, took time with me to evaluate each item. Told him I planned to take most to my daughter out of state over the holidays to see if she wanted any of it. He wrote prices down for each of several items and I did sell two that were not something she would care about. Prices were fair and based on market price of gold and silver and weight of the items. I returned today- 2 weeks later- and asked for Dave again. He worked with me on 3 items neither my daughter nor I wanted. His price was significantly higher than I had been quoted at a nearby competitor just yesterday so I sold those items. It was a pleasure doing business with Pawn 1- my first interactions with any of these stores. If I decide to sell other items, will check here first. While I was there, I observed other staff interacting with customers. Both were pleasant and helpful. read more

These guys lowballed me on trade a gun I bought from them and tried to charge me full retail on for a stereo. Wouldn't work with me. One of the guys was just rude. I buy plenty of stuff from them and they treat their good customers like shit. I get the deal with pawn shops. But these guys are bad. Terrible experience. Don't shop here. read more

would like my camera to be replaced and with everything it came with. And if my SD card that was in my camera, with all my family photos, could be found and if not replaced. Description of Complaint: I had a Canon Rebel T6 camera, and I put a loan on it at pawn 1. Every month I came in and made my payment. Well a after a few months, I came in once again to make my payment, and when I came in I asked, next time I come in how much would it be for me to just go ahead and pay to get my camera out. And they told me. So what I planned to do before the next date my loan payment would be due, I would come in earlier, and pay to get my camera out. So I did. When I came back, my camera was gone! They had SOLD it! And I have always made my payments! So I was left in the store, pretty upset, my camera was gone and they did nothing to make it right. Now I would understand if I had missed a payment. But I did not. And I even came earlier in the month, before my next payment was due, to finally make the payment to get my camera out finally, and make the big last payment. I had cash in hand. Again I was NOT late! I was heartbroken. So I'm seeking for this wrong to be set right! I have my last receipt, and it has the notes on it made from the employee that had originally did the loan for me. read more

Was in the market for a new gun and decided to check out some local pawnshops after seeing the crazy prices at Cabelas. I ended up find my what I was looking for at a fair price. The gun I ended up purchasing looks like it is brand new! Took it to the local range and everything worked great. Staff was friendly and the whole process was very quick. I will be back! read more

I can't believe what a rude bunch of jerks work here. First of all, I asked if they bought any fishing poles. He wasn't able to look up from the counter and look at me, just mumbled, "Not unless their new". Then, I went to the jewelry counter. They had a ring for 29.00 I said I would offer 21.00. He said, " Nah." I informed him very politely that this valentines week, Vista Pawn is having a 50% of sale on fine jewelry. very persnipity he said, " Good for them" He then very creep-like followed me to my car, knocked on the window, and told me he'd sell it for 21.00 to me, as I offered. I bought an apple iPad and it was iCloud locked. They said I could take it to Apple to get unlocked. Apple said they wouldn't and pawn 1 refused to take it back With receipt the next day. Will not be giving them anymore of my $. horrible Customer service. read more

I always get taken care of by the Meridian store. 4 Guns, 1 very expensive Ring they gave me the deal of a lifetime. Trumpet, Dig Cam and many other items. I am only giving one star because zero stars arent available. This is the rudest group of people I have ever met in my life I walked in and ask if they take any fishing poles and he said we have to be brand new and really special order for him to take it yet he has crappy old fishing poles in the corner. I tried to offer three dollars less on a ring and explain to them that pawn one was having their valentine sake, it was half off in a very sarcastic voice " good for vista pawn " almost like go away and screw off. I can assure you there are way better pawnshops invoices in this crappy joint! Oh then he followed me to my car to tell me he would give it to me for the price that I offered. read more

I've had a long relationship with pawn 1 from employee to customer and the last few interactions I've had on the store level have been incredibly poor. Most recently one of the employees had advertised some games on Facebook marketplace. My friend had been looking for a few games and I forwarded the listing to him. He messaged the employee and inquired about two of the games. He was told one was on hold and the other was still for sale. He was stuck at work, so the next day i offered to get them for him. I went to the location and both games were still in the case. I tell the employee who listed the ad I'd like to purchase them. He hands them to me and then asks if I messaged him on Facebook. I say no but my friend did. He then says one of the games in on hold and I can't buy it. He takes the game back from me and refuses to sell me the game. I was not asking for a deal or a discount. I just wanted to buy the items for sale in the case. He then argues with me when I inquire as to why it's in the case if it's on hold. He says 'well I have other things to do in the store' as if it's my fault somehow. I ask again about this random person having it on hold and not showing up. He then says I can come back at noon and he'll sell it to me. I live on the other side of town and specifically came to his location to buy these games. I refuse to deal with this employee again. Unbelievably awful service. Asked to purchase a 12 year old drill battery charger for five dollars less than the asking price and they would not budge. A brand-new charger of the same price is $27 online and they're asking $30+. Terrible business as I was going to purchase a small compact fire arm from them as well. Spike is a stiff and I'll be happy to take my business elsewhere. read more

I bought video games here (bad idea I know). When I got home they were all scratched up and wouldn't play. Should have checked before leaving the store but didn't. When I went to return the games Brooke said they didn't match the receipt but they were the same games I bought! She was super rude and practically accused me of lying saying I wasn't bringing the same games back. The lady that helped me pick out the games came and said "yeah those are the games she got on Monday." Brooke was still super rude but reluctantly gave me a refund. It was only a couple of dollars not something to be super rude over. I won't be purchasing anything from this pawn shop ever again. read more

Was in need of a newer/used computer for my new job. Ended up at Pawn 1 to see what they had. I was looking at a Dell Optiplex 960 Tower, the staff seemed very pleasant but were having trouble locating the right cable in order for me to check out the tower before I purchased it. I was running out of time, as my son had a dentist appointment. Went back later, I was informed they couldn't find a compatible cable for me to be able to look at it and make sure everything worked. I was then informed by one of the staff, that if it didn't work that I could bring it back/return it. They then tried to up-sell me a protection plan, which I didn't want nor need. So, after learning that the Dell Optiplex 960 was not compatible with anything I already owned(Dell wise), I went back to their store to return the item and get a refund. The girl who sold it to me, asked me; didn't it work? Which I told her no, it's not compatible with what I have. While I was waiting the blue haired girl informed me of other computers available at their other locations. One was out of my price range, and the other I told her I would keep in mind and said thank you. I was simply being polite, as I already had another computer from a private party I was going to go and purchase with the refund. The blue haired girl, whom told me yesterday that I could bring it back/return it if it didn't work, then said they do exchanges only, no refunds. And that I didn't purchase the extra plan. I told her, oh so you're pulling the old bait and switch huh? She denied it. And I then said so because I didn't purchase some extra plan you're telling me that I can't get my money back? They both tried pointing out that it says so on the receipt, which is a lie, because it does not! Instead, they wanted to offer me a gift card to their stores. I said, why would I want to get a gift card for your stores? When they said that I could use it to get a computer from one of their other locations, that's when I informed them both that I need the refund, because I am purchasing a computer from a private party. They gave me the old, I'll do it this one time but it's not our policy to issue refunds speech. Needless to say I got my money back, but the girl whom I made the purchase from was rude, acted like I was putting her out, and didn't even bother to apologize. I will NEVER ever shop at any Pawn 1 stores. And I suggest everyone else avoid them, this location especially. read more
