Deanna at Paws and Whiskers is awesome ! Used to get my dog groomed with a mobile groomer because she's a rescue and had dog aggression issues when she was younger. A set of circumstances led us to need grooming ASAP so I asked around and was recommended to go here. I was hesitant because I was not sure how my dog would do having never been in a shop. She isn't thrilled when we walk in but Deanna has a nice calming demeanor and Maysie seems to calm down. The entire shop has a nice calm feel and the AC is cranking so it keeps everyone cool on these steaming hot days. Deanna calls me when Maysie is done and I go pick her up/ I missed the call this last time so I was worried I had stressed my dog out by her being there longer. Nope - fears were unfounded. Maysie was having a nap and Deanna had to wake her up! We get so many compliments on how great Maysie looks and the pricing is fair. Deanna is so patient and does a great job Thanks so much! Highly recommend this place.

Amber is the owner. She started out as a groomer and still is but now she owns the place. She has a talent that every animal loves her. Her place is clean and the animals she works on all seem really happy while they are in her care. She does an amazing job on their grooming. Our dog looks so cute and feels so soft after Amber grooms her. I would not trust anyone else with the care of my family member . Everyone right now wears masks and she has sanitizer readily available to use.

This is by far my favorite pet spa in SCV. I've been coming to them for years. Amber and Deana both do AMAZING jobs and have been perfect every time I've brought my beloved dog in. I can't say enough good things about Paws and Whiskers Spa! From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and clearly cared about every pet that came through the door. My [dog/cat's name] looked and smelled incredible after the grooming -- soft coat, trimmed perfectly, and totally relaxed. They really go above and beyond to make pets feel comfortable, and it shows. Nicholas took such amazing care of my grumpy senior. He really put me at ease and most importantly he put my old man at ease. My dog has always been incredibly sensitive with his paws, making nail trimming a difficult process for both him and I, but Nicholas was a miracle worker and I now FINALLY have the solution for my dog's nails. On top of all that, his fur was so soft and he smelled amazing afterwards. My old man is photo ready after his first professional groom at the ripe age of 13 ! They were great with my Pomeranian! I appreciate them taking their time, I was told they go at the pups pace and give them as many breaks as they need. She was nice and calm when I picked her up and looked beautiful. I definitely recommend this spa and we will be back. read more

Took my maltipoo here for a wash and cut and got him back looking fresh. The lady was so nice and transparent with us. The overall vibe is laid back here and you can see your dog get groomed if you want to make sure they are in good hands. No apprehension sensed from this grooming location by my pet. I feel safe taking my dog there to get groomed. I didn't feel he was mistreated during the service. I'm very grateful. Free parking available too. Thanks! read more

Christine does a fabulous job. I have a Sheppard husky who sheds a lot and gets stickers imbedded when we go camping. She is very good at de-shedding and gets all those nasty stickers out. Highly recommend!! read more

Luis is a great groomer and has taken care of two of our good friends in the house. I don't know about your dog, but my poodles never love grooming but are happy to see Luis. Their eyes are clear and their fur is looking good when he is done. Plus the bandanas! read more

Do you recommend this business? YES !!! I highly recommend Paws and Whiskers and Luis in particular. He is an amazing groomer! He grooms my 2 longhair cats and does a perfect job. Cats are unpredictable and Luis knows how to work with them. He's The Cat Whisperer! My cats are never stressed going to him like at another place. He's super kind. Does dogs also. The dogs always look happy there and all beautiful. The other staff at Paws and Whiskers are friendly also. Just a good vibe all around ! read more

This is the worst Groomer in SCV (Bell) This establishment held my dog hostage until I paid more than the price she quoted. She insists on ALL customers pay in cash, so they do not pay taxes on the correct income. The worst Groomer in town. So, many choices....DO NOT GO TO THIS GROOMER. I have it all in video the Groomer (Bell) screaming at me refusing to give me my dog.....and ALL on video her demanding more money. The Sheriff had to be called. read more

Our fur-baby only trusted Luis for grooming. We had lost track of him after his previous employer and are ecstatic to see he is still grooming (per, at least the review 1 month ago) and still local at Paws and Whiskers Spa on Railroad in SCV. Unfortunately, all of our puppies who benefitted from Luis' wonderful care passed (old age) since the time we lost track of him. We are filling out our pack again so look forward to requesting Luis groom our new "family" and unreservedly recommending him to others especially for shy large and giant dogs. This place has three things going for them: 1) They are very reasonable with their prices and offer coupons and deals to cut prices even more! 2) they have amazing and friendly staff 3) and their work is phenomenal If I could give this place more stars I would. For the past few months i have been taking my 3 labs to them and have had nothing but praise and nice things to say after my encounters with them. Oh my GOSH. Amber is a rock star! Our almost 6 month old Welsh Terrier got groomed by her and he looks exactly like a show dog! Petco tried once and almost sent him home (gosh he's just a puppy so he was teething). Amber cultivated a relationship with him and worked pure magic. I'm almost hesitant to post because I don't want her to get overly busy lol. Our boy has found his new second home. read more

We've tried six different groomers up here. We have Cairn Terriers (think Toto). They are not Scotties, or Westies, not Aussies or Silkies, and they are certainly not Schnauzers, they are Cairns. They have a specific look to them, and need a haircut that reflects that. The first time we walked in to Pampered Pets, they knew exactly what kind of dog we had, and exactly how to cut it. They are patient and loving, and they do all the icky stuff (anal glands, ears, etc.) as part of their regular services. Not to mention, their prices are very reasonable. We wouldn't take our dogs anywhere else. read more

We used to be Pampered Pets and we are now (under new ownership) called Paws And Whiskers Spa- P.A.W.S. For short.

Paws And Whiskers Spa has been a dream of mine since I started grooming. I have been grooming for 7 years now and it is my passion. Animals always have been. My job is so special. Rehabilitating pets from bad grooming experiences is what I have a huge heart for. Come experience a little taste for our love for your pet in our new shop.

I have dogs with heavy coats who need specialty groomers that truly know what they're doing. On my last visit, the price for my 70/80-Ib dog jumped from $150 to a little over $400. Not only did the price keep increasing before I even picked him up, but the grooming itself wasn't done well. I tracked down my old groomer afterward, and she told me his nails were still long, he had a large matted knot behind his ear, and the nail on his heel was curled. So the job wasn't just overpriced it was poorly done. I've had great groomers here in the past. They use quality shampoo, the facility is clean, and everyone is nice. But Dogs Etc. has lost so many of their best groomers, and those groomers were the people who could have made this business truly exceptional. I won't be going back unfortunately. Also I always gave great tips! Love my groomers!! My update Yes it was absolutely here DOGs ETC. and I've been going there for at least a decade if not more. Like I said your shop is amazing but you have lost (or the past owners) many many good groomers but this last one was insane. She took the time to groom my dog and did a very good job She even gave me some tips on grooming and her prices are reasonable. I highly recommend her. You will not be disappointed.

From the moment I met her, I felt comfortable leaving my dog in her care. One thing I really appreciated is that she doesn't nickel-and-dime you for every little service like many other groomers do. Things like teeth brushing, nail filing, and other basic grooming services are included, as they should be, instead of being charged as expensive add-ons. Most importantly, the haircut came out exactly the way I wanted. Mari made my dog look absolutely adorable and beautiful! She paid great attention to detail and did an amazing job on the ears. My dog had a lot of ear hair, and unlike some groomers who seem hesitant or afraid to remove it properly, Mari was very gentle and was able to clean everything out thoroughly without any issues. The entire experience was fantastic, and the results exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a groomer who is skilled, caring, honest, and truly puts the dog's comfort first, Mari is the one to go to! Fast and efficient! Good pricing!

They didn't offer me another option, and said they'd trim her and shower her for 50$. I asked why they couldn't just brush her, or shave her. The guy at the front desk he doesn't know he just answers the phone and books appointments. They trimmed her face completely crooked. It looks like she just sat there till the last minute and they just cut her face. She looked exactly the same as she did going in. I drove all the way from downtown LA. Nice people. Lame service. Never again

My chihuahua, who's normally petrified of baths, did really well with the set up and seemed to be relatively calm (compared to what I'm used to), which I attribute to this place's nice and mellow atmosphere. Plus, one of the employees kept telling me how cute she was, which is always nice for a dog mama to hear! The prices are wonderfully reasonable, especially compared to some bigger pet store / grooming salon companies like PetSmart and PetCo. I literally paid HALF the price I normally do to get her bathwd, got to bond with my baby girl, and make sure she was being handled with love! Paws is the best pet groomer that I've been to in Santa Clarita! They are great with large dogs! I have a 95lb Bloodhound/Border Collie mix who would not let anyone give him a bath but us. He went to Pet Smart once and that was it. Both my husband and I tried to take him to Pet Smart again, but he would roll over on his back in the parking lot. He wouldn't go in, but was happy to go back to the car and go home. When I picked him up from Paws his tail was wagging. He was happy and clean! read more

I brought my dog in last minute for the first time today and was SO pleased with the incredible job Bel did on my beautiful angel pup Lilly! She knew exactly how I wanted Lilly to be groomed and I could tell picking Lilly up she was cared for by Bel and staff at the Paws and Whiskers Spa. My dog didn't even want to leave haha I will DEFINITELY be coming back once a month to have Bel groom Lilly! Super happy with her work. You'll be seeing Lilly again very soon! read more
