When my wife and I were fostering dogs in Michigan, she fell in love with a Miniature Pinscher mix named Obi. He was different from any dog I'd trained before, and without other dogs to help with training, it was a challenge. We needed Obi to be able to travel the world with us and assist my wife with her PTSD. Within six weeks, Fred from The Dog Wizard trained us on how to make Obi an incredible companion. The transformation was night and day. Now, Obi walks calmly by our side unless given the 'free' command. He accompanies us to stores, ignoring everything and everyone around him. They do not run the games. The trainers I had have not participated in CPE events, which is one of the more common agility trials in Michigan. Also, the behavior of one dog and how the owner handled that dog made me not want to return. I got to the point at one class I almost excused myself and my dog due to the treatment of the owner. As it is not the facility's fault or responsibility to control the dog, they should have excuses him and had him join another class such as an obedience class. To have him continue to come each week when the dog is over-active, disobedient, and the owner has to force the dog to the floor is unacceptable. The dog was screamed at, grabbed, and forced down to the ground. We al discipline our dogs differently, but this made me very uncomfortable. They were very nice trainers, but for me, I choose to go elsewhere.

As we sat waiting for my cat to be seen, two people came in with issues that were not as bad as ours and they were taken in the back for triage. I don't like to claim a racial thing, but in this instance that's exactly how I felt. I was the only person of color there. Twice the receptionist annnounced Lobby Triage Stat. No such announcement was made when I gave them the info for my cat. aAter waiting a hour and half and still not being called for triage I left.
