Back when I lived on a 40-acre ranch in Northern California, I had plenty of space and other dogs around to help with the process. When my wife and I were fostering dogs in Michigan, she fell in love with a Miniature Pinscher mix named Obi. He was different from any dog I'd trained before, and without other dogs to help with training, it was a challenge. We needed Obi to be able to travel the world with us and assist my wife with her PTSD. Within six weeks, Fred from The Dog Wizard trained us on how to make Obi an incredible companion. The transformation was night and day. Now, Obi walks calmly by our side unless given the 'free' command. He accompanies us to stores, ignoring everything and everyone around him. One of his biggest issues was reacting to other dogs on leash--no longer a problem! Recently, we visited a crowded cider mill with hundreds of kids running around. Obi stayed calmly by my feet, unaffected by the chaos. Kids asked to pet him, and I explained he was working. I can't say enough good things about Fred; he's like family now. What he did for us truly means the world to me."

Her space is comfortable, safe for the dogs and perfectly located downtown Ply. Judy also does 1-1 and home trainings too. She helped get us started with our rescue pup who was afraid of the sound of her own breathing. Judy taught us some key skills which included changing some of our habits in our house. With any animal that had an unknown or came from an abusive previous home, it takes time to help build trust and change some of the behaviors of the animal. With Judy's guidance and our diligence over the last few years to creating a safe and learning environment for our pup, she's a happy, loving, brave and mostly non-reactive dog. There's always skills we need to bring back into our rotation but it's all thanks to Judy to help us along the way. We've recommended her to many people and my mom is active in classes with her new puppy.

First, I was kept on hold for an extended period of time by the person who answered the phone, who eventually informed me that they could not see Nova, but that I could bring in a stool sample and she could be seen on Saturday pending the results of the sample. The next day came and I waited and no-one called me and gave me the results of the specimen. I called them. This person was very nonchalant about giving me the results, I waited until a doctor could tell me that the results were negative, and that other test needed to be done to see what was the cause? But, they could not see her until Monday afternoon. I made the appointment, and proceeded to seek out an urgent care. The person on the phone told me " I hope that Nova will be okay." I found an urgent care who did diagnose my fur-baby, they put her on flagyl, probiotics, and special food. Nova is doing great. I was embarrassed to even tell the other vet what was said to me by Nova's vet...... The one that has been seeing her since birth. I forgot to call and cancel her appointment with VCA. However, no one even bothered to call and remind me or to even ask about how she was even doing! I had no problem bring her to this clinic until now. I don't even know if I believe if the sample was even sent out based on the findings at the other clinical. The ladies that were there when I dropped off the stool sample seemed just as unconcerned as the person that I spoke with on Saturday. Having been oil health care for more than 35 years..... I do know a little something about bedside care and concern...... And with this experience unfortunately, it was lacking. The vets that I have seen in the past have been amazing...... from office visits to her spayed surgery. I'm not sure what's going on? But this experience was definitely different.
