I've taken my dogs to Nails To Tails in Danville, PA for a few years now and have always been happy…read morewith them... until recently. I paid $70 (more than all previous visits). When I picked my dog up and got in the car to leave, I noticed her cut was pitifully done. As if an amateur had trained on grooming with my dog. I took her back inside and another groomer was kind enough to try to get rid of all the jagged lines and sections of longer hair that was uncut. I do appreciate that groomers help. After having her groomed, there are large places on her skin where it is raw and blood brought to the top of her skin. Her skin is quite inflamed. This is unacceptable. I don't know the name of the first so called groomer who messed her hair up and left her raw all over, but NEVER again will I take my dog back there. If I am going to pay $70 for her grooming, I expect it to look professionally done and my dog not have raw painful skin afterward. Also, another girl in there who had bathed another dog couldn't seem to wipe the glare of her face. This place used to be a friendly, professional place where the service was an A+, but not anymore. Very disappointing that now the service my dog received was a D- with the exception of the other groomer who did try to fix the other groomers failure.

We came back to a pup that wasn't anxious and his haircut was perfect!! At our previous groomer, we had to wait 4-5 hours to pick him up, but Ashley was finished in an hour and the haircut was better than we had previously experienced. She explained that he got antsy when she groomed around his face (which he has done in the past as well), but she said she would do a little and then go back to it so she wasn't pushing him. The facility was top notch with clean tile lined indoor pens and two huge outdoor runs with shade, pools, toys, water, whatever pup could want. She was professional, asking all the right questions and requiring all the proper info, like vaccination history, emergency contacts etc. A FAR cry from the other facility we had used the two days prior out of necessity. They were "this your dog? Ok, see you when you get back". Nice folks but a completely unprofessional operation with cut rate facility's for the dogs. Standard wire pens attached to caged runs. No play areas and I suspect minimal contact with the dogs. How it rated 4 star is beyond me. Sweet Dreams was first class. Well, well done.
