Very disappointed in this place. Brought our dog in for nail clipping because we are afraid of hurting her by doing it ourselves. I saw her screaming while they were doing it and I assumed she was just scared, but afterwords I noticed she was bleeding on the way home. FROM 3 different nails!! It was a massacre! No wonder she was traumatized after. I'm so angry at myself for trusting this place. I would understand if maybe one slipped, but 3????? Terrible, awful, complete lack of care and attention.

MY DOG CASHEW AFTER THE "PAWSH DOG SPA" treatment!!

I have to emphasize again how much I love Pawsh Dog Spa in Yaletown, and it is the only place I take my Cockapoo in Vancouver. He loves going into Pawsh Dog Spa because he knows he can relax there..which is a huge relief for me. The groomer takes him into her arms when I drop him off. He even falls asleep when the hair around his face is being trimmed! Emi always gives my dog a cute bow/bandana each time after he gets groomed and he leaves looking like a movie star, and smelling like fresh coconuts! I get many compliments from friends AND strangers. On top of this, I had people ask me where I take him for grooming a few times in a single day! If you want to know the approximate cost of a bath and tidy, it is about 55 dollars for a 15 pound dog. That includes bath, ear cleaning, nail trimming, anal gland...they do an awesome job. They take about 2 hours, and always call me 15 minutes before he is ready. The length of the treatment may throw people off, but it's better than a rushed job and it's always worth the wait. I'm always impressed by their cleanliness, which is reassuring that they hold high sanitary standards. I walked by Pawsh when I was walking my dog and the lady whor works at the reception recognized him right away and gave him a treat. I have been to other grooming places where my dog was treated like a number, but at Pawsh we feel like valued customers and I KNOW they genuinely love dogs. She even tweeted about him, how sweet of her. Attached a picture of my dog Cashew.

Unfortunately after giving pawsh two tries I'm going to have to say I will never be bringing my Pom here ever again. The first time I met the owner of pawsh I got a really weird vibe from her as if she didn't like me and was giving me dirty looks. She took my dog to get him groomed , I asked when he would he ready and she rudely said " a couple hours " ok.. Whatever that means. I picked up my Pom and his "lion cut" was probably the worst cut .. I have ever seen.. She had told me she doesn't do lion cuts but I know a Pom that goes there that always has a lion cut. Anyway I decided to give them another try. I wasn't aware that my appointment was at 1:30pm so I arrived at 1:55 thinking my appointment was at 2pm . That was my bad. As soon as my dog and I got into pawsh she literally gave us the dirtiest look EVER and said in the most negative way that next time she will charge me or something like that I don't really remember the exact words that came out of her mouth. I apologized and dropped my dog off for his second grooming.. I came back and picked him up when he was done and the teddy bear hair cut that I asked for was Really really really bad . On top of that I let that go than came home and noticed that they had cut my poor dog. She did not even bother to mention that and apologize about it. Here is a photo of my dog the day after his grooming and where they have cut my poor dog.. I just don't understand how this salon has such great reviews and my experiences have been AWFUL. They have lost my business and I will never be taking my dog here ever again. PS; if you go and look at all the negative reviews that the company has hide and are not recommended you will see that this issue has happened a lot where this salon has cut their dogs. Shame ON U pawsh

As high maintenance as it sounds to bring your pet to the "spa", this is really basic hygiene that every dog needs to go through - regardless of whether you're taking them to a "spa", to the vet, or taking care of it yourself at home. The "spa" part is really just for the reassurance for the pet owners that your dog will be taken care of in a safe, pampering environment. Before the grooming, my long-haired Pomeranian Teddy had uneven lengths of long wispy hair and a thick double coat. After, his entire coat was given a trim with clean, straight edges, and the undercoat brushed out and detangled for a lighter, brighter, airy coat. Teddy came out of Pawsh with a much more defined, shine-y coat. As gross as this may sound to a non-pet owner, the area around his bum-bum hole was also neatly trimmed so poo wouldn't get stuck in the long fur Pawsh will give you a phone call approximately 15 minutes before your dog is ready to be picked up. If you're early, feel free to browse through their selection of pet products. There are studded collars, jewelled leashes, premium doggy treats as well as Canucks-themed clothing. If you're late picking up your dog, he'll wait for you in a play pen area. When I arrived at Pawsh, my dog Teddy was wearing his new little bandana, patiently sitting and waiting for me to come pick him up and bring him home! My dog has been getting all sorts of compliments from friends, family, coworkers and strangers about how clean, and well-groomed he looks.

I was driving by one day and noticed the doggy Canuck jerseys on the window, and made a mental note to come back. I called first to make sure they had enough sizes in stock, because there's nothing worse than getting your hopes up for something and making your way over there to find out you were too slow and they've sold out. I was assured they had many sizes, so after work I walked down to get one. The lady working there was very helpful, and she had a super awesome bulldog behind the counter named George Costanza! (Like from Seinfeld!) She recommended the large dog shirt, even though my little Bruno usually takes a medium, and I wasn't sure which would fit better. Turns out, she was right! Bruno looks very handsome in his little jersey, and $40 later I was a proud hockey mom.

I wanted a fat anf fluffy groom and this is what i got. NOT PLEASED

I had an aweful experience coming in here. The first time i went they gave my mini poodle the teddy bear hair cut which i liked. So i went back a second time and they totally shaved my fluffy mini poodle down. They said his fur was "matted" which i googled later on and my dog looks NOTHING like a "matted" dog. I was telling her before i left him "well i want my dog to look fluffy and fat like a teady bear" and she said "no. Hes not gonna look like that we're gonna have to shave him down" in the rudest tone EVER. Like thats not the style i want for my poodle, whatever happened to the customer is always right? Cause i am not pleased. AT ALL.

Linda and the Pawsh Dog Spa team are the best. The treat my dog Kevin Bacon like their own dog and he comes out so fresh and so clean! Kevin is a white dog and comes out brighter which I didn't was possible! Even his feet are clean! I love it. I can't recommend them enough.

This is how amazing Chuck and Harley look after there grooming appt.

Hands down this is the best grooming place that I have ever taken my boys to. They've been to groomers in Australia, Malaysia, Seattle and others in Yaletown and Pawsh Dog Spa knows exactly how to cut my Pomeranian and my Maltese X fur. The staff is amazing and so loving towards the dogs. Chuck and Harley just love them. We are now moving to Seattle (again) and it sucks cause now I have to find another groomer and I know they'll never look as amazing as when they come out of here. If I was rich I would be flying the groomers to Seattle that's how much I love this place!

This bloody cotton ball was left crammed in our dog's ear after a visit to Pawsh.

They hurt our dog. Two weeks after taking our maltese there we found a bloody cotton ball crammed in one of his ears. They didn't even tell us they had nicked him or that they had stuffed his ears with cotton to stop the bleeding. Poor guy. Staff are rude, grooming is mediocre, and our dog is terrified of the place. Now we know why.

Homer after grooming with his complimentary bandana! So cute.

Pawsh is definitely Homer's to go place for grooming! They do get pretty busy so if your schedule is willing book ahead. I'm always a last minute person but my bulldog doesn't need his hair to be cut. Pawsh has always been flexible with me, even on shorter notice, which I truly appreciate. They do take their time, which makes things even more convenient. I can drop homer off and run an errand or do some grocery shopping before I have to pick him up. They call you to give you a heads up on when your pup will be done. He always smells sooo good! Tropical fruity, coconuts and they even put a super cute bandana on him after he's finished. Even if we move out of the downtown core we will be trekking back over to Pawsh!!

Very good hair cut!! So cute!!

My dog is a year and a half, and her hair had never been cut ever since she was born, and now it will take years for it to grow back after this. Not only did she cut the fur off, the cut itself was so extremely poor, I've had people ask me if I cut it myself. I posted the post-groom pictures on my Maltese group online, and the consensus was this person is not a "master groomer". Every single leg is cut different, her face is different on either side, there are scissor cuts left in the fur all over her body. She did have a top knot before the groom, and I told the groomer that I like to put it in a ponytail every single day, and she cut it so uneven and short that she herself had to put it into two ponytails because it's almost impossible to have it put into one ponytail with how it's cut. And to be clear, I handed over a dog that had ZERO knots or mats in her fur. I combed through her fur with a metal comb less than an hour before the groomer arrived. Completely devastating when I was so specific. Within minutes of meeting the groomer by her van, she told me that my dog was not a purebred (I have papers), that she had a blocked tear duct, and that her hair would never grow long. I brought her to the vet the next day because of course I was worried if she maybe she did have a blocked tear duct. A $90 veterinarian examination fee and five minutes later to be told her eyes are perfectly fine. And then there another $90 for another groom to have this absolutely terrible cut fixed. What a nightmare. If you're looking for a specific cut, while this person identifies as a "master groomer", the cut she gave she might as well be working at Petsmart, which is where most people thought I brought my dog to have her hair done. So in total, I have paid $358 to have my 5 pound dog trimmed. I also wonder if she is even an actual working groomer now. She showed up in a van that was completely smashed up on the side, and when I looked in her van, it looked more like storage than a place where a dog could be groomed. Never again. So ripped off. The first two pictures are right after the groom in the van, and the last picture is the beautiful dog I handed over to her.

No one answered. The directory was super long and hearing out the options was so time consuming. And the option to speak to the store always rang once then long silence and then ends call automatically. I did manage to get there. And it was 10:30 am. Her appointment was 10-11 am. They agreed to clean her molars which were the ones with tons of sudden build up. But when my dog came out at 11 am the lady Cindy told me she was able to fully clean my dog's teeth because she was such a saint and put up no fuss. yes. She's an absolute princess when it's with strangers. She's stubborn as hell with mommy though. Anyways. For $250 it ain't bad. She went in with build up on her molars that looked like caramel coated popcorn. And came out with white teeth that looked like white strips was used her teeth were clean and white. My dog is 3.5 years old and this was her first dental visit. And she's a bit on the shy side with new people and they handled her so well she wasn't stressed at all when she came out in Cindy's arm. I highly recommend this place for your dog's dental needs. They also offer the full array of grooming services. and I would like to point out for all the reviews on Google that complained the shop did not do as asked for grooming style and technique.... They do what's best for YOUR DOG... AS BEST THAT THEY CAN FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS OF THE OWNER. This shop puts your dog first. So perhaps be appreciative that they don't rip mats from your dog's coat just because you want it done without shaving. Or that you don't like the length of the coat. Even when you go to a hairdresser your hair cut can be a flop. People are human. Dogs are even more unpredictable. They can move or refuse to cooperate. They do their very best based on your dog's behaviour and its needs and your wishes. I witnessed about 7 customers in the time I waited for my dog's teeth cleaning. They clearly go over expectations and their own boundaries that puts pet's comfort and consideration first and foremost.

Kaori eventually transferred to BabyD's to groom...and my groom cost DOUBLED with that owner, "the lovely" David. Don't expect good service from him, his lack of Customer Service skills speaks to his priorities...clearly not there to care for dogs, just make money and be nasty when he can. During her last groom with Kaori, I was horrified to get her home and she the extensive damage to her paw in the photo - the black padding was shaved off on one part of her left back paw pad; a huge hunk of tissue was gouged out; and the swollen, painful burned areas around her paw that were puffy they were so inflamed...it was shocking. I texted Kaori the photo and said I understand accidents happen...she just ignored my text and the gruesome photo. But in speaking again with the vet and my breeder, they insisted that was unprofessional and that she should compensate me in some way for the vet bill and a free groom. So I wrote her again asked her to compensate me and expressed that I was not too happy she just ignored my text. She's groomed Annabelle for 13 years...you treat a good client like that? So then I get a call from "the lovely" David and he simply tells me never to come back to their salon...period, end of story. They took no responsibility, denied their responsibility, and had no remorse for all the pain and suffering they caused my dog. Sometimes it takes a long time to find out who you are really dealing with and unfortunately trusting your precious pets with people that don't really care. There is no excuse for bad grooming that inflicts this kind of damage on a dog nor this unkind and unprofessional behaviour when you call them on it. They didn't even care that Annabelle is at the end of her life soon and to change her grooming and relationships at this point is heartbreaking. Before purchasing, Nancy repeatedly insisted the harness was the correct size and reassured me four or five times that if it didn't fit, I could return it. At no point did she ever say that "return" meant store credit only. Trusting what I was told, I made the purchase. Two days later, I returned with the harness and leash completely unused, with tags and original packaging, because the harness did not fit my dog. Instead of honoring what I had been told, Nancy denied saying it and told me I should have read the receipt because it was "store credit only." The conversation quickly became very uncomfortable. Nancy raised her voice at me and repeatedly said she had rent to pay and that running a business was expensive. As a customer who had simply relied on what I was told before making a purchase, I found that completely inappropriate. There is a huge difference between saying "you can return it" and "you can return it for store credit only." Had I been told the full policy before paying, I would never have spent over $300 there After this happened, I read through the Google reviews and found another customer describing a very similar experience--they also believed they could return an item that didn't fit, only to later discover it was store credit only. Reading that review made me realize my experience wasn't unique.and this is her way of running the business I have no issue with a business having a store credit policy. My issue is with how it was communicated before the sale and how I was treated afterward. There are many other pet boutiques and online retailers with better prices, transparent policies, and customer service that continues after you've paid. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
