Hi Adam, I see wonderful reviews regarding PB Pool Docs and have to say unfortunately I have not been so lucky with your company. Your company took over service from my previous company in January and I have had nothing but probelms since. I have lived at this house and had this pool serviced for over 40 years and have never had the problems with service, algae and a clearly neglected pool that I have had with PB Pool Docs. I sent a text to one of your reps on Monday - sent an email Tuesday and today and still have not received a call back. I had serious algae in my pool on Sunday - the service rep came on Monday and to look at the pool it was never servicved - clearly not brushed - the same algae at the tile line and steps is still there. Do not recommend. We've been customers with Barefoot Pools for years. Since the company has been purchased by Palm Beach Pool doctor, it's been absolutely unprofessional. We've got calls to provide a new credit card about three times from different people, which seemed like scam. Even after providing with numerous credit cards, our account has been turned into "inactive" without any notice or explanation, service - "disconnected". When you call to figure out what's wrong, the secretary simply shuts you down. Customer service is the worst. read more

Not sure how this guy has such good reviews. They poorly cleaning my pool on the days they actually show up. They also charge for every misc item used the bills add up fast. Then they claim I owe them tons of money even after I provided hard evidence all bills are paid. Then Adam Armstrong goes on to harass and threaten me and my property telling me he's going to take things off my property. here is what he said. "No when I will actually do is I will call the police for an escort I will go onto your property I will remove from your property which is your filter canister my filter cartridges I will bring all the open invoices with me the police will support me in this action I have no choice but to do this because you are not paying your bills." Now I had to get the police involved and tell our gate not to let this idiot into our neighborhood. This guy is a nut job. You would be crazy to do business with these unstable fools. I moved into a pool home in Wellington in August. I grew up in a house with a pool so I know the time and effort to keep and maintain a healthy pool. I also had a family of my own now and work about an hour away from home so time was a more valuable resource. That's when I looked to Angie's list and searched for a pool service. After a few discussions I chose to purchase a month of cleaning with Palm Beach Pool Doctor. Adam not only showed up on time as promised. He also discussed with me the ins and outs of my pool equipment including filters, safety, and chemistry. The man knows his craft and takes it seriously. I had them for that first month and learned a lot from Adam and his associates. They changed my main drain cover to a newer and safer version. They changed my main filter with a stronger but affordable model. And so far everything has exceeded my expectations. I had to keep them so I called Adam and discussed maintaining the Angie's list promo price on a continuing basis and now the Palm Beach Pool Doctor is a regular part of my family's house maintenance routine. read more

Well this is awkward. Apparently, the "pool doctor" has trouble keeping his dissatisfied customers in order. I was alerted that my name was showing up in a Yelp post and I though that was strange since i have never posted in yelp. Upon review, it seems that the "owner" thinks i care enough about his poor service to chance my name and leave an "anonymous" review. I don't want to be a disappointment, so I'll go ahead and leave my own 1-star review. I contacted the "pool doctor" about pool cleaning service as we had just moved in to our house. He talked a good game on the phone, but seemed unnecessarily aggressive. Like, "don't sell when it's already sold" type thing. But the price was right and I gave him a chance for a month and my experience was like the other 1 star reviews. Lackluster cleaning, no attention to detail, if the smallest thing required attention, it was an add on and additional charge. Also like the others, I had unsolicited charges on my bill. When questioned, the "pool doctor" got defensive and threw a very unprofessional temper tantrum. (My 3 year old asked if he was gong to go to time out lol). No, not time out, just thrown in the bin with all the other useless pool guys. Our HoA has even put them on the "not recommended" list due to so many issues in our Neighborhood. This guy calls himself the "pool doctor," but trust me, you'd be better off having "Dr Pepper" clean your pool. At least the sugars would get rid of the rust that they ignored and refused to clean (unless you want to go to his shop on woolbright and spend $63 on a rust removal patch!) After a month of dissatisfaction, I paid him for one month of "service" at the agreed upon price of $75 and told him to pound sand. But that didn't stop him from harassing me. He constantly drives by, he sends letters, and even had a certified letter sent (which i promptly rejected). I've already contacted the police about this guy and if he contacts me again, I will finalize the restraining order and press charges on the basis of harassment. That's how far a simple pool job has come. I will not continue to be harassed by this hack. Make your own choice, but take heed before hiring this guys. Take a look at his 5-star reviews. They are from out-of-towners and people who have only left one review. It's a total joke, just like the "pool doctor." Adam and his associate Omar arrived on time, listened to my concerns about the neglected pool, and got right to inspecting it.
