That in itself is beyond worth it in terms of the experience. The transparency is what I value most. I had requested a tire rotation. I feel like most places, especially when they are busy, would just rotate the tires and call it a day. In this case, I was told they would not rotate my tires because my 2 back tires were super worn and wearing unevenly which would not be a benefit to my car if I rotated them. They made their recommendations and were not pushy at all about what I did or did not do for that matter. They told me they honor their estimates for 30 days (if memory serves me right) and that I could call ahead any time if I wanted to do any of the repairs that were not done then. I have been going to this shop for well over a decade now and it is the only shop I truly trust to work on my cars. The owner, Miguel, is always approachable and kind- he is a wealth of knowledge and is never afraid to share it. And over the years I have personally seen him helping out in the garage, working on the cars right alongside the mechanics he employs. How many shop owners do you see doing that?! Linda recently retired but she was always so amazing and pleasant to talk to! I already miss her voice calling to tell me my vehicle was ready for pickup. Marquis, who is now helping to man the front desk, has always been amazing- he was a great and trustworthy mechanic and now as the person getting you in and out the door he is in the perfect spot to make any recommendations and explain what's going on with your vehicle. Henry is also manning the front desk and even though I have only met him once or twice he is very kind and easy to talk to. Pburg Auto always gives you repair recommendations during your visit as well as things to keep an eye on in the future but they are never pushy about it- they want to keep you safe and keep your vehicle in top shape. There have been many times where they have given me a heads up about a car part needing work in the future and say- wait a bit until you need this part because this issue is fine for now and it will save you money to do both at the same time. Not many shops will be brutally honest and try to save you money from making repairs you don't quite need yet! But I love the fact that they give you an overview of your car so you can start planning for what repairs or replacements you will need soon. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have been a repeat customer and today I had my first issue with this business and I have to say it was bad enough that I will not be coming back nor recommending this business to anyone. I took my car in for rear brakes and an oil change. I spent more than $600 on the repairs. I received a coupon in the mail for $50 off any service over $450. I called them back when I noticed I got this in the mail, and spoke to the owner (Miguel). I explained to him I was just there a few hours ago to pickup my car and I had this coupon and asked if they can honor it. Now, I would expect the owner to honor it but instead said, "well you paid for it already so I can't honor it." WOW was I shocked! He went on to argue with me about honoring the coupon. He stated can't honor it because he is not a large corporation and it would be too hard for him to credit my card back $50. He goes on to say I should have presented the coupon before. I explained to him again, I just checked my mail. He stated "you should have checked it yesterday" ..... I couldn't believe this guy. I just spent over $600 with this business to be treated this way over $50 which they offered in a coupon. Maybe they shouldn't send out coupons if they can't honor them. If this business is willing to lose a loyal customer for $50, it makes me wonder how great of a place this was to begin with. True colors of people and businesses will come out in time and it sure did today with this place. To top it all off, I get in my car and there was black splatter marks on the drivers seat and console. All they had to do was credit my card back $50 OR provide me a $50 credit for future service. My vehicle needed a transmission flush and I left my information to see if they could help me with my Rav 4 as the transmission was slipping and completely blew me off. Also refuse to list prices for anything or even a ball park figure good indicator of extreme Over charging because they don't respond to easy money jobs like a fluid flush for draining the transmission easy 200$ went to oops auto and he is the only mechanic and still got to it faster then a response or call from a place with actual phone operators pretty sad read more

I typically work on my own car (yeah, I know, but I like to do it), except if it is work I don't have expensive tools for or if I don't have time to perform the work. This, unfortunately, doesn't give me the opportunity to get to know a good mechanic. A month ago, my Hyundai developed a rattle in the front end. I looked around for a recommended mechanic on Nextdoor and Yelp. P'burg Auto received a lot of good reviews, so i stopped by. I was not disappointed! They were very friendly, the waiting room clean and neat. They diagnosed my problem immediately and repaired the vehicle at a good price. I've had Yelp for many years but this was the first time I've ever left a review because I just felt so inclined to after another great experience. This was only my second time there but both times have been exceptional. Very knowledgeable and accommodating staff with very reasonable prices. I was so impressed with the service that I sent my mother there as well and she was just as impressed with the service as I was. She especially appreciated how honest and experienced the whole team was which is unfortunately a rare quality amongst auto repair shops. Went to P-burg Auto to get my tire repaired as a nail was impaled in the front tire.The owner greeted me upon entering and I explained the problem. He was happy to assist and in 15 minutes the tire was repaired and I was on my way. The entire staff was very friendly and professional and the repair was reasonably priced. On Oct 28th (2017) I called & spoke to Miguel about doing a routine fluid maintenance service on my car. He asked me to come in so he could see the car, see the line set-up under the hood & get the VIN #). Two days later I stopped in as he requested. He never spoke to me (he did seem to be in a tizzy about something) and the older woman Linda behind the counter said they would get back to me soon with an estimate after they got the price of the fluid. I never hear back from them so two weeks later I placed a call on 11/13 and Linda acted surprised and said that someone would still be getting right back to me. Another week and half gone by, no call/no price. Miguel is very unprofessional, and has a very bad attitude. Pretty nasty guy. Why ask the person to come in and waste my time in the first place? And, instead of manning-up and just saying "we don't do work like that" (even though it's routine) why not be up-front and say so? I guess it's easier to just be a weasel? What a waste of time. Bad way to run a business. The dealer may be a couple more miles and a couple more dollars but it is well worth it. They are professional and no bad attitude. It turned out for the best, seeing the jalopies they had sitting there I'm glad that the work never got done on my very low-mileage, well-maintained car. read more
