After having a few consultations with Mr. Dorin Holban, I felt ok to continue and sign a retainer for him to be my lawyer. On our intitial meeting, I went over the details of my case and we had an agreed upon timeline for how things were to proceed, howver that quickly went sideways. My file kept getting delayed because he had other work, and I was later told that he wasnt even comfortbale with my case because my children were involved, something very strange for a lawyer practicing family law. I had no choice but to terminate my mandate with them (after 3 weeks of being delayed in a very difficult situation), and when I terminated I asked for my file and the wrk that was done (which is my legal right) and I was not given it for 1 full week, and until I paid my new lawyer to request my file. Magically, after not giving my file, in the one week delay there was enough work to have eaten up my entire retainer. Even when I asked for my bill on the day of termination I was not given it, but given it 3 weeks later !!! I honestly felt it was such a scam and that I was being taken advantage of. I emailed the whole firm letting them know the whole situation (with proof of emails and calls) and that I would be filing a report with the BBB and the Barreau du Quebec. Only then did I get a response and was given a portion of my retainer back. I had made it clear that I was delayed almost a month because of their negligence and that I had to pay more now for new lawyers. I explained that I felt it was fair to give me my entire retainer back and move on, but still, they waned to keep some money. So while the returned the majority of the retainer, they did not return it all, and still expected me not to write a review. I think you should really beware before using this firm and be clear about their policies in regards to work and retainers, maybe see if you can just pay by the hour so you avtually pay for work done. Be careful . . . I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

I was very specific, and he totally didn't listen and went a different way. I don't get it? he wrote motions that had nothing to do what I hired him for. scary this nut job. because he just didn't understand, and just kept on and on with his way. I need my money back because he is a very stupid lawyer, that cares only about his yoga, classes and books. when I asked for my money back, he all of a sudden stopped taking my calls, stopped replying to my emails, texts ect. had I known he was a friend of Jamie Benizrie, another lawyer who stole $75,000. from me. especially that I asked Audi to help me get my money back from this thief. had I known that they were friends I would never of hired him. the case with Jamie Benizrie is presently before the revue Bord at the barreau, as well as the compensation fund, at the barreau de Montréal. both these above lawyers need to be disbarred, as they are predators, of innocent people looking for help. I just filed a complaint against Audi Gozlin also. keep away from these horrific monsters. run and run fast.

I can not say enough about these two young lawyers. They know the law and will take the time to explain it to you.
