Abysmal customer service and doctor care; they will not call back with updates on your situation,…read moreappointments, or sent imaging. The staff does not seem to care about the individual or how much the individual has to wait, as proven by my family member waiting over 6 weeks for an important call back; but when that family member left a review on yelp they're annoying selves called back in under 24 hours. go somewhere else.

I am extremely disappointed with the care coordination at JenCare Senior Medical Center…read more My mother was seen for a serious concern involving an abnormal stress test, and a STAT referral was issued for a CTA. This is not a routine request--it is time-sensitive and potentially life-threatening. The referral should have been scheduled urgently by the clinic's scheduling coordinators, but it was not handled as a STAT order. Since January 12, I have called every single day trying to speak with a scheduling coordinator. Every day, I speak to someone, and every day I am either promised that the appointment will be scheduled or that I will receive a call back. Neither has ever happened. Not once. I even tried to schedule the CTA myself to speed up the process, only to be told that the clinic must schedule it internally because it is a special order. Despite this, nothing has been done. I also reached out directly to the doctor and received no response. On two separate occasions, I requested to speak with a manager, only to be told they were "in a meeting." My calls were never returned. If management does not care enough to follow up, how can staff be expected to care or lead by example? This delay in care puts my mother's life at risk. Delayed diagnosis and treatment can lead to worsening illness or even death. This is not an inconvenience--it is a patient safety issue. I was even told that staff are often overwhelmed, patients are left on hold for long periods, and there are "other patients to deal with." That is not an excuse for inaction. I call every day and get no resolution. What worries me most is imagining a senior patient who does not have someone to advocate for them. If this is how care is handled when a family member is persistently calling, what happens to those who can't? JenCare needs to do better. This experience reflects poor care coordination, lack of accountability, and unacceptable customer service--especially for a population that depends on timely and attentive medical care.

She agreed but I had to take a urine test. I received the results back the next day and the RX I use could not be found. She said that happens but I had to take it again. No problem. That was well over a week ago and my professional life is suffering. She insist the govt "audits" her for these test. This is BS. She is almost fully recovered from her surgery the first week of October 2021 and Dr. Al-Kadari informed us he expects my mother to be back to 100% by Thanksgiving or Christmas 2021. This was only my second time meeting with Al-Kadari even though he was the main surgeon on my mother's case and she spent 3+ weeks in the hospital at Rush Medical Center. Since her hospital discharge October 20th, we have had three post-op visits with his associate, Ashley Knies. Ashley appeared nervous, insecure, and all around lacking intelligence. Our first visit with her she did nothing besides prescribe more opiates. Our second visit she remover the bandage but did not feel comfortable replacing my mother's wound vac stating she did not have proper supplies or bandages. Luckily, our home healthcare nurse, Sarah helped me pack/prepare the wound vac for the post-op visit, in addition to extra bandages. I tried to hand the bag with the wound vac to Ashley but she shook her head nervously so instead I handed a bandage to Ashley who emphasized, "I wish we had these, our bandages are not near as good as these." After our visit, I reviewed the appointment notes in "MyChart" and was shocked to see Ashley wrote we failed to bring my mother's wound vac to the appointment, which is an outright lie! Moreover, let's pretend we had not brought the wound vac or bandages, why are these supplies not at the hospital? Are they truly lacking necessary medical supplies or is it simply Ashley's incompetence placing blame elsewhere?

When thinking about my pregnancy, birth, and post partum I get overwhelmed with such gratitude…read more Having Corinne and Coté by my side throughout this journey and process has been my biggest blessing. When I got pregnant, I assumed I would have a birthing center birth again. But I decided to talk to Corinne, just to learn a little more about the possibility of a home birth. Their warmth and calmness made me feel so confident and comfortable with having a home birth. Choosing Birth roots for my birth was the best decision I ever made. Birth is a transformative time in your life and Corinne and Coté understand that and are there for you for every part. Being able to meet with the same midwife for each appointment made a huge difference in level of care. Corinne knew my previous birth story, knew about my first born, my partner, and most importantly every aspect of this pregnancy. They knew my concerns, my joys, and how I envisioned my birth. Honestly, it felt more like talking to a friend and therapist every visit. Corinne makes you feel extremely comfortable, I was able to share all of my concerns, doubts, and worries without judgement. I was able to have an amazing homebirth because of them. Throughout my fourth trimester, Corinne was still there checking in on me and baby. They understand the difficulties of post partum and truly show up for you. It's the support every woman deserves after birth. Then, there is Coté who is equally amazing. Her warmth, knowledge, and nourishing soul made my entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum just that much better. Walking into her home and being welcomed with warm tea and positive energy is exactly what I always needed without even knowing it. I always left her feeling more at ease and at peace. She has a gift. Cote also organizes classes and post partum gatherings which I was able to be a part of and absolutely loved. The post partum groups are a blessing. If you are questioning on whether or not to choose Birth Roots, do it! You won't regret it.

We could not have asked for better people to guide us on this journey. We looked forward to every appointment with Corinne. Corinne is knowledgeable, caring and emotionally intelligent. We always felt like we were in good hands, which kept anxiety low and positive energy high throughout our pregnancy. Coté added an element we wouldn't even have known exactly how to seek or ask for. Through singing, drums, story, massage, ritual, candles, education...you name it!...she helped to bring out the deep meaning inherent in pregnancy and birth. We came away from prenatal and postnatal sessions with Coté whispering to ourselves "whoa!" and feeling indescribable peace that you might normally associate with the best meditation or religious ceremonies. We would be thanking our lucky stars to have found either of these wonderful people to assist us with welcoming our son into our family, but having both of them contribute according to their special gifts and talents still feels almost too good to be true. Thank you Corinne and Coté from the bottom of our hearts.
