Do Not recommend this place. And wish i would've looked at some reviews before going because they already have quite the reputation for sh*tty quality of care and unprofessionalism. So to add on; staff was nice, but not good on communication, telling you to pee in cup without explaining why. Staff also doesnt seem to understand patient chart or why they're even doing certain things, but do it anyways...? Check in process was easy but waited almost an hour to be seen. And the doctor that I was seen by was not helpful nor showed concern or care for my issues. she didn't even give me any recommendations and was brief overall. Left very disappointed. I don't think the same doctor is there now, as I was seen back in late July. wished i remembered her name, but she was a blonde Caucasian doctor that claimed she used to be a psychi doctor- like that's supposed to give her credibility for the lack of concern care she provided ? turns out I have a hormonal imbalance/cyst in my left ovary which explains all the symptoms I was having at the time and only found out by going to a different doctor up north. I went in today about a rash on my face, that I knew was caused by some sort of allergic reaction and the doctor said they were just "pimples". After this discussion, she asked where She could the treatment was recommending me, I wasn't sure what to say but the area I live in. She made me search up places, and overall was just very rude and seemed to be having a bad morning. She gave me so much attitude and stormed off without saying anything else and not really helping me with the reasoning I had to come in. Receptionists very rude and not wearing masks upon arrival. I received dirty looks and attitude from the moment I stepped in there. I filled out what they needed me to and gave them my insurance. I misplaced my debit card because I ran out in a hurry (Very much my fault) and when I asked if they could bill me the receptionist made a VERY exaggerated sigh of disgust. I said I was running to my car and left. Rather sit with an ear infection and go somewhere else than be treated with disrespect. Customer service is a simple concept. read more

They used to have some outstanding professionals working there. They were easy to talk to and work with. They really seemed sympathetic and non-judgmental. They seemed to listen closely and took the time to address any doubts or concerns. Now, thus far, I've been encountering a couple of uncompromising, seemingly prejudiced, quick to brush you off individuals if you ask certain questions. I guess they don't like being challenged; all that needed to be done is to further communicate to address concerns and doubts instead of taking me as an annoyance. Once again, this place was great before; it was the people there that kept me coming back. It's regretful to say but I'm not going back for a long time. Hopefully by then different people are hired. If you make a appointment online it's a lot faster then walks ins. They get booked so fast they stop taking walks in for COVID test to see a Dr you can easily be waiting 2hours. Staff is nice in person but if you call they will leave you on hold till the call disconnects and if you keep calling it's the place I on hold real fast before u can even ask a question. I usually do Walgreens test but nothing was sooner, I don't think I would come back unless it's absolutely necessary and if come if you have the time because it will be a long wait with no appointment read more

I took my daughter in yesterday to get the opinion of a professional! 5 days Prior to this visit, I took my daughter to the emergency room, her pulse was high and fever was as well. I was told she had a virus!! long story short I took my daughter in yesterday, for fever sore throat, low blood pressure. I understood it was my choice to take her to this place and thought I can give them the benefit of the doubt.. this place is not only racist! one of the higher paying medical assistance-lupe hung up on me 3times and stated she didn't give a f word if I did a review! I'm not sure how they've gotten negative reviews. This is my go to clinic. Every time I go, I'm well taken care of. Wait time is good , it's clean & the staff members are always nice. I've seen many doctors in my life and I have to say Dr. Ramos is one of my favorite! He's so nice & thorough. He really knows what he's doing. I know I know , doctors should know what they're doing but he's not just a doctor, this is his passion. He really cares for his patients & it shows every time I go to my appointments with him. I visited to get a covid test at the beginning of this year. The service was quick and dealt with a great level of professionalism. However, the billing department (if they have one) was a disaster. I dialed the billing number in the invoice only to be passed between 3 different people who I needed to explain the request for my call each time and were just answering the phone with "hello" and I needed to figure out that it was someone else since they wouldn't even advise me that I'd be talking to a new person. I then call the Cermak Immediate Care center to request the information and the receptionist stated I needed to send an email to their billing department since they couldn't help me over the phone. JUST HORRIBLE!!! The moment I walked in I handed them my insurance and they told me they could not verify my insurance because it was a Sunday. They told me they had to charge me $95.00 for the doctors visit and would refund me once they ran my insurance and got paid from the insurance company. Well needless to say they got paid from my insurance company and I'm out $95.00. I tried to contact them the first time but they don't have a billing department. Apparently some guy comes in every so often. The second time I called the guy is on vacation. I left a message for Khalid but never got a call back. I came in today with my husband cause we both are sick with the flu. Just had to make sure it wasn't the coronavirus. Our doctor didn't have any appointments today so I decided to look for an urgent care clinic and I found this one. I made an appointment through the app Solv, I suggest you set an appointment instead of walking in, you will skip the line of patients that just walk-in. The receptionist were so nice and professional, the lady that took our vitals was very professional as well explaining what she was going to do to me. The doctor was also nice and very professional. We both just had the common cold and we will just be fine with the medicine they prescribed me. I will happy recommend this facility read more

I had a walk in appointment and the service was super fast. They asked me what I was there for and gave me a diagnosis. They seemed genuinely concerned. The nurses and assistants were all super professional. When the doctor got there he got straight to the point, which I liked because Im not huge on the small talk. I was told by my primary care physician at Northwestern (downtown) to go to an Immediate Care Center asap. I had no experience with one, but did I ever choose the right place. Within minutes I was seen by Dr. Tucker who diagnosed bronchitis and gave me treatments right in the office that left me feeling so relieved before I even left. Following up with meds. as it had seem convenient for me to come here because they're near by or open late isnt so much a convenient. especially when they are Willing to over booked themselves and leave people waiting for a long time after they gave a whatever time of wait. not even checking with nurse or doc on how behind they're running. The young ladies lack information from their own office. I hear repeatedly from young ladies at front desk answer patient with "I'm not sure". it lack professionalism and proper scheduling. they don't even try to accommodate you in someway after their error. if you bring up another symptom or need, they would have you reschedule for another day so they can bill the insurance again. you make a patient wait so long you should be able to give them the time. upcharge the level of the appt to the insurance or charge your time but make sure you provide the best appt where ur patient feels he/she was served with the best services all around. I made an appt. for myself. I asked them what was there best time and a time you guys think it's not your busiest for lab. with appts supposedly you have higher priorities. I needed labs that inquire to fast. I get there and I'm not even on the schedule and still have to wait over 45mins. I say over because their estimated time is never 100%. total inconvenience! they should have a uniform type of service so everyone is on one page And happy. read more

Dr. Thakkar and his staff brought me back to life! After non stop vomiting I googled and immediate care center and to my luck there was one less than 5min away! His team was friendly and the wait time was great! No more than 15min I'd say (new patient) When brought in, Isabelle took my vitals and gave me some quick tests. She was so friendly and I felt very comfortable. To calm my nausea I was given a shot and some meds. I was better the next day and I could not imagine myself under anyone else's care. I'm happy I stopped in Dr. Thakkars office first instead of the ER. Thanks again!! read more

The doctors here are great but the front desk service is terrible. I have been coming here for years and I will not be going back. The last time I went in was because I had a sore throat, ear ache and few other symptoms. When I booked my appointment through the Solv app I just added sore throat and I guess they saw it as a red flag for covid and they needed me to get tested for it first but absolutely nothing was explained to me. They just sent me to the back of the clinic. The nurse was going to test me for covid and I was so confused as to why, I just wanted to see a doctor. She told me that I couldn't see a doctor until they knew I was negative for covid. The nurse gave me an attitude the whole time. I got tested for both covid and strep. It was a horrible experience getting tested with her. I felt like she purposely tried to hurt me. She almost made me throw up with the swab. I have gotten tested for strep before and it has never been that bad. I left so upset that day. Today I had another terrible experience. I called just to get my blood work results sent to me via email. The representative said that she couldn't because that is violating HIPPA and that I would need to go in to get them. I am sure she was just being lazy. I told her that last year I called to get my results sent to me via email and there was no problem and she said that the rules changed. I asked if there was anyone else I could talk to and she said no. I told her that I will not be going back there because I have had really bad experiences with them and the last thing I needed was these results emailed to me and she said that I didn't have to go back and just to go pick up my results. I guess they don't need patients and don't care that I have been a long time patient either. She also rushed me on the phone and said they were really busy and I said well I am customer too and she said you are a patient not a customer, trying to be a smart ass. I am disgusted at how I was treated. No one deserves to be treated like this. We all have our bad days but this girl is clearly miserable and lazy. She is very unprofessional and needs to be fired because she does not like helping or dealing with people. Things turned out great after though. I called ahead of time for my driver that I was sending for a UA to see what time they closed. When my driver arrived at the location they said that they were out of materials to do the drug testing ( I believe it was the speciman cups.) No mention of this was made the hour previous when I was on the phone with them and then they had the nerve to tell my driver that nobody had called them in advanced. I took my daughter to urgent care because of possible strep throat infection. As a nurse, I knew she had it just by looking at her throat. I confirmed her appointment about 4 hours prior to her appointment. I got there and was told that the urgent care is not affiliated with any hospital so I had to pay a $95 consultation fee plus whatever my insurance doesn't cover. We were already there and I didn't want to risk going to another urgent care and it being closed. I asked the receptionist why they didn't verify insurance prior to the visit? She said they stopped doing it because people wouldn't show up and it would be a waste of their time. I told her calmly, I confirmed my appointment, you could have called after I confirmed? She looked at me with a blank stare and said "if I were you I would take the drive to go to the other urgent care (which is a well known magnet organization)". I was shocked, I told her I am going to pay the money only because I am in a hurry and my daughter is very sick. The doctor was great, saw us quickly, confirmed strep and sent prescriptions to my pharmacy. The receptionist could have spoken to the provider and maybe just charged me my deductible or done something to fix her mistake. Instead she tried to turn me away. This is a clear example of bad marketing and a need to educate the receptionist on quality care. read more

Friendly staff, but horrible communication. I went in for an cut on my finger on 5/5/2019 and after treatment was told that I had to pay $400. That was ridiculous and the front desk blamed it on the Doctor for not telling them what was going to be done. I needed care, but for $400 I could have gone to the Emergency Room as I have great Insurance, but in this clinic, they do things backwards. This is one place I will never set foot again! My Mother, Doris, went to this urgent care for a cbc test on May 9, 2019. Upon arrival, she was told that there was a $95 charge. What about my insurance? But no problem due to her being in a hurry,  she was never informed of any other cost or associated fees or that this facility was not affiliated with any hospital. The physician was thorough and attentive. She actually ended up having a CBC test, strep and nose swab and urinalysis conducted. Fast forward, about 2 wks ago she receives an $82 bill from Amita for the labs conducted. Again, no problem that's expected. She received a call one week ago from this urgent care facility that she has an unpaid balance. Wait what?? I never received a bill from this place. So upon contacting this immediate care facility she is told that the balance due is over $300. For what exactly? I paid the upfront $95 charge what should have been a co-pay and am paying my lab bill prior to the due date. She request a detailed bill of these charges, especially because she had not received anything from this place or her insurance company following this ONE-TIME visit. On Friday, June 21, 2019, she finally received an outline indicating the services, diagnostics and visits from her insurance company; however, only about 30% of the bill actually made sense. She realized she had been billed for services, exams and visits from this immediate care that she NEVER received. I look forward to taking this matter to my attorney and find this place to be very unethical. She visited this immediate care as a walk-in ONE time only on May 9, 2019 and had a CBC, strep and nose swab conducted. She returned a week later, not for a follow-up as her bill states, but literally to pick up her lab results and walk out the door. How do you bill a patient for diagnotics, visits and services that they never received? I also intend on working with her insurance company to have some of these charges reversed. This is absolutely unjust, absurd, unprofessional and unethical. She or I will never step foot in this sham facility or recommend this place to any family, peers or colleagues. read more
