Two years ago, Sierra Rainbow stained our 1969 built house for the (sixth) time in October 2015 and it literally just glowed and even today, still glows. When I confirmed again, he said it was too stressful and he wasn't gonna do the job and kept the $200. Bad faith dealing. He is reliable and honest, he shows up when he says he will show up, he gets to work and doesn't goof off or waste time. He bids the work by the job, and is spot on with the estimated time to completion, and more than reasonable with rates. He will offer solutions to help save money, and has contacts throughout the region in different areas of construction. Keith is a true professional and a genuinely nice, earnest man. I don't know if this is your first time having work done in the Tahoe area, but there are many many examples of people who fall short of the mark in one or more of these areas - unreliable (on "Tahoe Time"), no communication, bill by the hour and spend it chatting with friends, leave work to do something else with friends, shoddy work, padding bills, etc. With Keith I could just relax, I have given him keys to come and go and work when he likes, when I am not in town. I bought a small house in Tahoe City in 2009, and since then he has fully cleaned and painted the exterior, painted the entire interior and stained knotty pine paneling on two floors, filled nail entry holes in the wainscot to where you can't even see them, and stained various doors and cabinetry (this has been a full remodel). He also worked with my agent to paint/stain a house I was selling in the area - my agent said he was wonderful to work with in terms of skill, communication, and timeliness, and was impressed with the results.
