They carry an impressively thorough assortment of fish stuff (including frozen food and driftwood), cat and dog stuff, and bird and rodent stuff for a small local store. The hardware store has beautiful live plants, a florist section, appliances, cleaning supplies, cold drinks, snacks, Sloggers brand boots, nice gardening gloves, etc. They can also apparently custom cut glass for you, which I haven't tried using yet but plan on it.

It's always a very friendly and unstressful experience, even though it can get pretty busy. I had tried to refill a 90 day prescription at Walmart in Thomaston where they were going to charge me $78. When I was in Seattle, the Safeway pharmacy I went to charged me $20 for the same quantity (which I've now realized was abnormally low). I decided to try Jensen's in the hope that I'd pay less and even if I did have to pay that much, I'd rather give it to a small business. I went to Jensen's and asked how much it would be before they filled it. They listened to my Walmart story and said they would charge me $50. I also was easily able to get my doctor to call so I could get an early refill before I leave the country. Jensen's quickly filled it. They also have a lot in the actual pharmacy that is hard to find elsewhere. Like vanicream sunscreen! I will be coming here for all medications.

He was the best! We even came back to meet his dog Matilda who the locals know as "Tilly". If you need to get gas while you're in the area, skip the big gas chains, and go to the quaint gas station at Fairwind Marine. If you're lucky Edgar will be in. :)

Talent on display…read more This store is absolutely amazing. The old building has at least a dozen rooms and hallways just filled with wonderful and creative arts & crafts items. Just so many different things that you can spend a whole heap of tie inside. All the items are made by Maine artists and craft people and the variety and all of the interesting colors, shapes and uses of the different items is impressive. Just about every type of cute, funny or sentimental crafty things can be found somewhere inside. Things out of wood, cloth, stone and paper. it's all here. Toys, clothing, garden ornaments, photos, drawings, animal stuff, holiday things, furniture, decorations and lots of cool items that exist for no reason other than to look nice. A wonderful store that is especially great around the holidays. Definitely not a tacky tourist store although some cool souvenirs can be found here. There are some amazing, cool and very fun things lurking in this old red building.
