This trip, I flew and was prepared to shop a big order & have it shipped home. When I inquired of the sales person about shipping charges, (a regular employee) I was told that I would have to pay shipping-regardless of what I spent. When I advised the clerk that I always got free shipping(based on the money I spent in the store) he/she advised me that he's only a cashier and that's the rules. I advised him that I could go on-line, get free shipping and not support this store. As I was leaving, I heard derogatory remarks being mumbled from the associate. As a retail executive, I don't know of any retail store that would turn away a large sale over principal do you?

This place was different -- they had so many kitchen gadgets at every price point imaginable, and they had so many cool items that you could not find online (or it would be more expensive).
