The facilities are amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. I attend the Community center…read moreabout four times each week. I swim and use the gym. My major concern is trying to get a swim lane frequently due to swim teams or special organizations dominating the pool. These teams should use the pool during the hours the pool is not available to regular members as they do not require the presence of a life guard.

The water slides are a blast and it's fun to revisit my youth and actually dive off a high dive.. a lot of places have gotten rid of high diving boards. Dressing rooms are kept clean and showers as well. The price is fair for residents and non-residents. The only thing I would change is probably more lifeguards on the kids side there's a lot going on and a lot of noise. Would have been a trifecta of perfectness if they had put an outside pool as well. They could have also used some showers poolside so you don't have to walk into the bathroom to use one. The workout area does tend to get a little too crowded on the weekends but I guess that's normal for a lot of places. The indoor walking track is amazing for the summertime where it's too hot to walk outside. All in all a very very great community center.

Actually made a road trip just to come back to this amazing museum. Opened in 2011, following an…read more$800 million endowment from the Walton (Walmart) Family this American art museum is truly world class with representations from every major art name in America (Stuart - Washington Painting, Chihuly glass, Frank Lloyd Wright house, etc). Designed by famed architect Moshe Safdie (anyone remember the sky park buildings used as the backdrop in the film crazy rich Asians in Singapore? same architect.). The building blends naturally into the hillsides that were the wooded areas the Walton children played in growing up. I can't say enough about this fabulous museum. Constantly in change, and a new addition that will double exhibit space opening this summer admission is free, as are guided tours that cover architect, art, and everything in between. This is an absolute must see/must stop for everyone.

Generally, no one answers emails. For such a world class museum, is it too much to ask that someone answer the phone? There was a famous speaker there recently, and I had some questions about parking. I am a paid member, and I also paid to hear the speaker. I simply had some questions about parking, and could not find the answer anywhere online. Once again, I called... and no one answered. This is a major blemish on this museum, in my opinion. I sent an email asking for a refund of my membership, but of course never heard back about that, either.

WARNING! THIS REVIEW CONTAINS A PHILOSOPHY…read more A review of any college is perhaps more a ridiculous proposition than reviewing other things because, in addition to the usual vagaries of opinion, a college of any size will not be experienced by two people in remotely the same way. Are you a student (whether traditional or not; whether serious or not -- I'll not say, whether intelligent or not), an office worker, administrator, instructor, or someone attached to the college in some cooperative capacity, or a combination of any of these? NWACC is large enough to encompass a plethora of experiences. So, a review that begins, "My algebra teacher was a bore," wouldn't begin to characterize the potential of any community college. As for me (who functions as an employee, one that has worked at other community colleges and universities), I enjoy the campus, which is nicer than many other campi (noun, Latin plural). That is important; I like clean lines. The library, which is always the clincher, will more than adequately support most any academic endeavor, for both student and professional, with friendly assistance. As for the education, accessibility is stressed, I have clearly seen, which is good news for many. And, out of the classroom, college culture is promoted in a variety of ways, for those who require that. What else can be said? Yeah, that one guy cut me off in the parking lot. Rotten teen drivers! And, they don't offer the Vietnamese courses I would like to take ... maybe even throw in a field trip to Saigon. Oh, well. Still, I'm a fan.
