This park is on the border of USA and Canada. This page is the Canadian side, and the American side is here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/peace-arch-state-park-blaine I rented the "Picnic Shelter" (on the Canadian side) for my wedding reception. It's much better than that sounds. + "Log Cabin" type sturdy-looking building + LARGE kitchen with a few ovens, few sinks, one refrigerator, and a counter open to both rooms for easy serving + 2 barbecue pits at the back -- one is reserved for the Shelter renter, and the other is available to the public (as it usually is) + large grass area (we played soccer here in suits and dresses -- I would assume no spikes allowed) + flushing and CLEAN washroom building next door (with actual mirrors) + paved pathway connects the parking lot, Shelter, and washroom (important for dressed-up events where people wear heels) + photogenic sites such as gazebo and stream with bridge, also nearby at White Rock Beach Apparently, because of the bay White Rock is situated on, it is often sunny there when Vancouver is raining. And at a price of $200 PER DAY (until 11pm) when most venues are charging by the hour, it was wonderful!! I was looking for a place for 150 people. I think that's the capacity of this hall. They have tables (that need tablecloths) and orange plastic chairs for that many people. No sound system, but a friend's computer and speakers were enough. Get to the parking lot by getting on Hwy 99 South, then getting off at "Beach Road", just before the Duty-Free shop. A good map is here: http://www.hellobc.com/en-CA/SearchResultsListings/ListingsDetails/BritishColumbia.htm?CATID=4642&LOCID=3&KWDS=&NBY=False&FLID=3&FL2ID=234&PN=5&PID=4545232

This is where they catch all the baddies coming into countries with less than 5 questions asked.

But maybe you'll find restrooms at the other washroom (coords: 25PJ+QM Surrey, British Columbia, Canada) to also open late night? . If you stay late enough, a security officer will drive by and shine a flashlight into your car. I'm glad they care about our safety. I was alarmed, but appreciated the care. I ensured the officer I was fine, then he left. + Late night, it's mostly a quiet, peaceful ambience. - I love pickleball. Where I come from, all the public courts would fill by 7am. Here, only 2 people occupied the 12 crts here. I had to leave. Dunno how crowded it gets later in the day.

Panoramic, beautifully manicured grassy fields for soccer, football, baseball or anything that requires a giant field - you can find it here! There is a Waterpark, Playground, Bike Park, Sandy Area with Volleyball nets, and Tennis Courts in this surrounding area as well! Also, South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre offers tons of exercise and sport classes along with their large gym facility. It's great to walk around and see all the sport events happening or walk your dog (leashed) on a big open field. I really wish you could take them off-leash but no can do doggo. But there's an amazing Off-leash Dog Park near by - Dogwood Park! Plenty of free parking around the area as well! Public washrooms available at the South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre and Rotary Club Centre. Overall, such a great part of South Surrey to get your heart racing and muscles pumping! Go on and get some fresh air and Vitamin D!

Its a mirror of the downtown coal harbour seawalk. It has a pretty nice stretch from one end to the other. So what's interesting here: -There are hammocks set up for people to relax -There are sun loungers that flip from one end to the other depending where you want to face -Volleyball courts for small gatherings -A nice green area for people who just want to sit in the sun -A kids play area -A nice path for walkers like me. This is a very well laid and thought through park. Lots of design ideas has been put into it. I am impressed.
