What I really want to do with this review is share with those who are more like me, who have never even considered something like energy work. Those who have perhaps even maligned it and thought "well, that is nonsense." Logic and analysis were more than a simple cornerstone of my life they have always been the utter foundation. So much so that I am a theoretical mathematician, so logic is how I support my family as well. In November of 2022 I was heading back to the second day of a 2-week solo beach trip from the funeral of my sister-in-law of almost 40 years, after her unexpected death. I was so weary from many "set-backs" including my own cancer and the death of a niece both in 2017. I have always been one who claimed, I can't meditate. On the drive from Charlotte back to IOP, I quite suddenly had the thought, "I am going to find someone who can help me try reiki and learn to meditate on this trip." The next morning, I typed it into Google and without reading much under each listing I simply picked the listing my intuition led me to choose. There was a short "contact us" form on which I only said something like "I am trying to learn to meditate but seem to struggle following some big events in my life such as cancer." I heard back fairly quickly and was astounded when Romain replied, "I think you might struggle with meditating at this point and likely need to consider some energy work first." I was astounded because he was so very right but how could he know that from the little I said? I saw Romain that day and for the remaining 9 weekdays of my trip. It was the beginning of what has been a life changing evolution. I made 5 trips, as opposed to my usual 2, to IOP in 2023 so that I could work with Romain in person. We were also connecting on Zoom most weeks while I was at home. For me the "job" was huge so the time commitment was necessary. I have "only" been to IOP 2 times so far in 2024. I won't bore you with the details but I can say I am, perhaps for the first time in my 59 years, at peace. Not every second of every day but there is a new foundation of my life and peace is a big part of it. It has been my experience that there is no greater gift you can give yourself than to take advantage of the amazing opportunity to work with Romain. The Meadows did not call, email or send the 20k to us to inform us of the overpayment. While my husband was going through the EOB from my insurance company, he learned of the insurance company payment. We contacted The Meadows and have been trying to acquire the 20k from them since January, 2026. We have sent all the proper paperwork, wire information, called, and written. While I was a client at The Meadows, if the insurance company didn't pay the day it was due, the patient was sent home, they rightly ensured they were getting paid. I am unsure as to why that same courtesy is not extended when it is the client that is owed the money from The Meadows who has now been paid 90k for my stay.
