The photos were of myself, my husband and my dog; some all together and some of the dog and then just us. I just got the photos back, very week turn around time (less than 5 days) and they are lovely, however my one complaint is that Tania gave no direction on posing which for some people that might not be a bad thing. However, I was looking for her to use her photo expertise and pose us in interesting, cute, exciting poses but that didn't happen. It was more less us walking through a very beautiful wooded area and just stopping to stand, sit or whatever. I guess I would have like to know her style before going so I could have been prepared for some poses. Or maybe she was just having an off day and didn't want to work hard, I don't know. Looking back, maybe I should have been more straightforward and asked if she would recommend some poses and/or pose us. Moral of the story, communication!

He brought two assistants along and captured the posed photos and spontaneous moments over the course of the day. His reception photography was particularly impressive--he photographed us in low lighting, so he used external flash to avoid blurry photos, but the end results looked as crisp and clear and not overblown as those from earlier in the day. Brian answered our questions thoroughly and patiently, smiling every second. He was so approachable and easy to talk to. He was also incredibly funny, which took the awkwardness away when it came time for taking the engagement photos. We didn't have to lay out a detailed list of the shots we wanted - he just understands what you need and does it. He anticipates what you want. Our photos weren't those cheesy staged pictures that you often see. They were candid shots of us having the time of our lives. They were amazing! The lighting was incredible as well. I have looked at over 15 photographers in the Brooklyn area and they will advertise $175-350 for the session, and then still charge $100 on top for the CD, plus 10-12 dollars or more for each print. None of these photographers had any impressive credentials, and most didn't even have their own studio. Neil was super prompt to answer my messages I wrote to him through the company Facebook page. I had tons of ridiculous questions he was happy to answer. I was truly the client from hell, and even arrived late to my appointment, and Neil was still super friendly, calm and accommodating. My little son is 9 months old and very weary of strangers and their homes, but Neil had him engaged and laughing. We have wonderful pictures. Even my husband admitted it was a great idea to have a portrait session and he loved the results. We had our session the night before thanksgiving, and the prints were ready the following Monday. Had it not been for the Holiday they probably would have been ready even sooner believe it or not. Neil even offered to hand deliver to CD to us! You will get the most bang for your buck with Neil.
