Alexx and Sharon at Peak came through in a pinch! The day before my daughter's wedding reception for 150, I decided we needed a patterned napkin for the dining tables and matching tablecloths for the Welcome Table. Alexx and Sharon greeted me with enthusiasm, and within ten minutes, I had reserved the napkins and returned later that afternoon to pick them up. I was a employee there fore a very brief period (2wks) upon learning that my wife was attacked in Boston I told my employer Bill Dalton about it and was promptly fired for being upfront and honest. I later went and asked him why I was fired when all I did was ask for a day off for an emergency appointment. All in all he later agreed to let me back to work but than again why shouldn't he? I've been on time as well as a great worker. The only time I came late to work is when they had glitches in their system that I was unfamiliar with navigating so i couldn't read the schedule properly because NOBODY SHOWED ME ANYTHING, they expect things that they themselves aren't willing to part with... Peak provided the tent & rentals for our backyard wedding and it could not have turned out more beautiful! We did not have a planner and the Peak team (Hannah & Ryan, especially!) was incredibly patient in working with us while we worked through all of the details/issues & even came out the morning of the wedding to take care of an issue with our floral chandelier. If I could give less than one star I would. I had a terrible experience when I called here to rent for my wedding. A woman named Sharon answered the phone and was so unbelievably rude.. I have never had someone be so rude to me over the phone. There were long awkward silences on her end to the point where I thought maybe the call had ended. It got to the point where I asked if I was making an odd request calling about tents and tables and chairs as well as linens and glasswear because the conversation was so bizarre and rude. She in response said it was not an unusual call. Interesting. I"m still not clear what all the rudeness and attitude was about. Maybe it's a general issue in the wedding industry - prices are crazy high and people treat brides and grooms as if they're doing them a favor though in reality couples are shelling out thousands of dollars. In the end I took my business elsewhere and am renting a tent through the Event Company. Much better service. I am also rending tables, chairs etc. through New England Rentals. Again much less attitude and better selection overall. This was an overall unfortunate experience because my family has always worked with Peterson's for weddings and holidays where we need extra chairs, china and glasswear. I will be suggesting my family and anyone else I know skip Peterson's for a more reasonable place that comes with less attitude. read more

I can not say enough wonderful things about Tarryn Prosper and the Peak team that I worked with this past summer. We worked closely on an event install for a few weeks and our team was able to witness day in and day out the immense dedication Tarryn and her team have to each project, Not only that, but heir willingness to work with other vendors, PEAK truly understands the importance of team effort.  This team went above and beyond tasks that are certainly not in their job description, but did what it took to create a seamless event.  I wish I could work with this team on every event! read more

Holy crap tents are expensive! Luckily, Peterson made that a little less painful. Still I could probably buy five camping tents at REI for the price of a one day rental. Think guests would go for that? Anyway... We're using Peterson for our wedding and lucky for us, we're sharing a tent with the wedding the day after us. Sharing a tent = a HUGE discount. My contact there (Gary), was quick to get back to me and emailed me a quote including the discount for sharing. Contract has been signed and sent back and one more thing has been checked off the super long to do list! Major shade. They are also called Peak Event Services or at least that is why the bill shows. The quote I got over the phone was under $250 (which was my budget). The quote I was sent was 298.84. I managed to explain that to the powers that be in my company. Then we had a rain out and I had to change the day. Over the phone they told me there would be no extra charges since I have plenty of notice. That was a lie. I got charged $327.63 when I made zero changes to what was being ordered. Great experience with Peak Event Services for my wedding! And definitely the best option in the area. Our caterer was really excited that we were renting from Peak. We got tables, chairs, napkins, dinnerware, linens for 200. Great flexibility (I changed my order weekly in the last few months before the wedding). They forgot some chairs on the first delivery but it got sorted out before the wedding. Also they were INCREDIBLE with breakdown. We partied in to the night and I promised my parents (wedding was in their backyard) that I would help clean up the day after. By the time I got to my parents (maybe 11am?) Peak had come and fished out all of the tables and chairs and nicely placed the flowers to the side. It was a great post-wedding day surprise (honestly it kind of made my day that I didn't have to stack tables and chairs!). Would highly recommend. read more

Peterson Party Center provided the tent for our garden wedding. We got a 30x40 tent, which comfortably seated our 85 guests. The PPC people were kind enough to help put up (at no extra charge) some extra globe lights that we had bought ourselves. They even packed up the lights nicely after the event. read more

The venue for our wedding required us to use Peterson, but had there been any way to avoid it, we would have, both because of the negative reviews we had gotten ahead of time and the painful customer service experience. We initially got evasive answers about pricing, on several occasions we had to call more than once to get a return call, and at no point did we feel like we were dealing with a friendly organization. They did show up with the correct tent and lighting on the day of. For what it's worth, Alistair's review sounds like he works with one of the companies he's reviewed and is trying to make himself seem legitimate by writing more than one review. read more

Peterson's was the only local rental company that had the specific linen I was looking for "ivory petal taffetta". I had three different table sizes for my wedding and was able to provide them for each sizes. Will use again. read more

We used Peak Event Services for some miscellaneous rentals - a big fridge, some sheet pans, and fill n' chill table. Their delivery guys were awesome- we realized the fridge was too tall for the room we wanted to put it in, so they figured out a different solution and were so friendly and helpful the whole time! We are very happy to have chosen Peterson Party Center for our September wedding, as the decision to use them turned out to be one of the best that we made and we would strongly encourage anyone to do the same for any event that you might be planning. The quality and the level of service from the friendly, highly professional and hard working staff prior to, during and following our event beyond our expectations. It was a daunting experience to have to choose a tent company from the many companies available, however after meeting with Paul we easily knew we were with the right company. His first visit during the winter to explain the wide variety of options available was tremendously helpful and allowed us to plan how the venue would need to look, months in advance. We knew that Peterson's had a strong reputation for quality around Boston having provided flooring and tents for the Boston Red Sox to name but one client and though we were worried about the potential cost of the tent for our event, Paul worked with us to ensure that we were comfortable. One example is that we were unsure as to whether flooring would be required and unlike other companies who visited the site, he was very honest when he said that we would not need it based upon the ground that we were intending to use. They were also able to coordinate very smoothly with the catering company that we had selected, Tables of Content, and to ensure that all necessary tables, chairs and equipment was present. We did not have to be involved in this organization and between these two vendors the organization was impeccable. We may not have been exactly "easy" guests to work with, as we had invited guests from the UK and across the US and we wanted to offer them all an experience that would be unforgettable, and the large tent for 140 guests (40 x 80) with clear walls allowed us to enjoy the wonderful weather and to show the glorious scenery. Peterson Party Center is an established vendor which factored into our search when we were looking around Boston for a company to use for our wedding and we must add ourselves to their list of admirers. Peterson's made our wedding the talk of the town, the awe of our friends and neighbors, and the celebration of our lifetimes. Peak Events (Peterson's Rentals) in Woburn really came through last week when we needed a tent/floor/heaters/tables/chairs/portapotty/etc... on very very short notice in Winchester. This was for some memorial gatherings over several days for a sudden tragedy. They came through, were professional, and even responsive when a very wet Nor'Easter storm knocked out the heaters. Can't say enough about what they've done for the circle of friends/relatives that needed it to happen quickly. This will now be my go to rental place forever. read more

I plan events for work and now I'm planning my wedding. I've used Peterson Party for work events and always have been happy with their service. Now, we will have a picnic reception for the wedding and we'll be renting everything from Peterson Party. As a Hotel Banquet Manager I cannot believe how absolutely fabulous the company is!! From the moment I first starting using them for my hotel and even for my personal needs they have been excellent. The crew puts everything in your vehicle and removes when you return, they are always polite and kind. The staff is very knowledgeable about the equipment and the one time I requested an item that they were unsure if they had the crew brought me right into the storage area and showed me a few items..they tried so hard to help me find exactly what I was looking for. When placing an order the associates make sure you immediately get an emailed copy of the requested items along with the pricing...this makes PO's for my company so much easier. I have been a customer of Peterson's for 20 years and I am very, very disappointed with their new delivery policy. Apparently, in order to qualify for $40 (each way) delivery you must now spend a minimum of $150. So, I was just informed that since three 8 foot tables and 30 chairs doesn't come to $150 I would have to pick them up. No other options. I said I'd be happy to pay the delivery fee and they told me that I could only do that if I spent another $65 on something...or be willing to pay an extra $65 for my $85 order. Imagine that!!!
