I have been going to Central Brace and Limb for many years and up until now I have been pleased…read morewith their service. I recently had a lift put on my son's show as we normally do in August of this year (2024). Within in just a month or so we notice the lift was coming apart from the shoe. I called the office and was told to bring the shoe back in and they would fix it and they did. In less than 30 days it began lifting again. Contacted them again and was told to bring it back in again so we did it was fixed and yep it happened again. Long story short within just a few months of having the lift put on I've been back to the office 4 times to have the lift "re-glued" and each time it failed. when I called again I was told the practitioner was out of the office and would call the next day. I never heard anything back. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in their service and the fact they never offered to replace the lift all together but they simply kept patching on it knowing after the second time it came off. It's obvious that was not a viable solution and even questioned if it was something my son was doing to cause it. As a result, I will not be back.

I called 2 days in a row and left a detailed message with admissions, specifically Megan, the second day, asking for someone to call me back. I had spoke with a very nice person in the rehab center who said she was in a 1 hour meeting and would be out at 10am. SILENCE again. Very disappointed with the customer service, hopefully this is NOT indicative of their patient care. I did call several rehab centers on the southside of Indy and everyone of them called me back within 2 hours! My dad easily found a nice place and we are all happy.

Based upon recent experiences with my mother and mother-in-law, if you are looking for assisted…read moreliving for a loved one, consider the following: 1. Don't just talk to the sales staff. Seems obvious but I failed here. Their job is to get you to sign on and obscure the less positive aspects of the facility and operations. 2. Talk to the Executive Director. Ask if this is their full time position or do they have responsibilities outside the facility that take their focus off the facility you are interested in. Find out how often they visit the residents in their apartment (ours never did). If they don't do this, ask them how they stay engaged in the operation to understand the resident's needs. 3. Talk to the Nursing Director. Ask the same questions as the Executive Director. Also ask how they assure resident safety. Listen for rote practiced answers with little sincerity. Ask how they deal with conflict resolution when a resident and an aide just do not see eye-to-eye. My experience with this was maddening. 4. Talk to the Chef. Ask them if their budget meets their needs. Ask how they deal with quality control so that food is not overcooked and therefore tough for old folks to cut and chew. 5. Ask if the facility has a nutritionist, and if so talk to them about how they assure vegetables are a part of the choices available. Ask how often they work with the Chef to ensure nutritious choices exist. 6. A big one: ask to see written policies defining levels of service and if they use a points system (I think most do), ask for written policies that define this points system. We didn't understand the importance of this until health started failing and then were refused anything in writing. I now feel this was unacceptable. 7. If your loved ones have limited mobility ask how the facility works to engage them into the activities and get them out of the isolation of their room. With this facility and the requirements of the building codes, the apartment doors truly encumber resident visits between apartments. Ask those you talk to how their operations work to neutralize this. 8. Ask sales, the Executive Director, and the Nursing Director how they track the activities of the aides so that you are assured you are getting the services your loved one is paying for. Found out there is no such thing at this facility (and maybe that's the case at others as well). But, if you ask, you'll at least know it going in. Also ask if they are fully staffed (all facilities are struggling with staffing). With tight staffing how do they ensure resident safety never waivers as aides may want to hurry residents that no longer can physically do this. 9. Of course, visit the Indiana State Department of Health website to understand any violations or reports tied to the facility you are interested in. Please know that while I was extremely frustrated with a couple caregivers and what I saw was a lack of correction and accountability, there were several wonderfully caring CNAs and nurses.

First time ever calling Maintenance they come into my apartment and take half of my water heater…read moreapart then tells me we'll get you fixed and did not come back until about 3 to 5 hours later. I left to go shopping at Walmart. I come back to my apartment and they used all of my clean towels that were hanging up and drying. They used it to clean up their mess from the water heater. My bathtub was clean and they left dirt in my bathtub where you wash yourself. They tracked dirt all through my apartment and salt due to the weather that we have been having. I do not recommend this corporation to anybody you people have just lost a tenant and probably will lose more. Buckner properties would be ashamed. If ANYBODY lives in the Cookeville TN area looking for apartments or houses or even a condo I would call and recommend BUCKNER PROPERTIES!!!! Ask to speak to Mike very nice guy.

My dad was here for rehab…read more The place looks secure. It isn't. Anyone can drive and/or walk in at any time of day and no one will question why you are there. Many unlocked doors at all hours. The "security gate" is rarely attended, and even then they do not check incoming or outgoing traffic. The staff, although friendly and tries their best, is not adequate for the sheer number of temporary and permanent residents. They also lack basic resources, like working equipment, much less modern equipment. The amenities are terrible. No wi-fi. I realize many of your patients are older, but a great deal of them are into technology and would love to use their laptops for their own entertainment. I tried to find a cart (or luggage cart) to haul some stuff to my dad while he was here (a stereo and DVD player and storage) but nothing like that is to be found. Really??? In a place where people stay and are moving in and out all of the time, similar to a hotel, you have no way to help your patients feel more at home?!?!? Ridiculous. The food, although meeting nutritional guidelines, is quite bland and mediocre. Finally, the complex itself is an endless maze of nothing making sense. Their is no central check in, so good luck finding who you are looking for. I've been trying to not write this, since their is a chance of my dad going back, but we will pick a different rehab facility next time.

Of course you cannot win with these places, will always be something someone saying wasn't done right, someone didn't feel heart, this is the tragic reality of old care. It is the final stages and no one should be happy about the grave sadness or be too casual about medical standards.

Creekside Health and Rehabilitation was a huge disappointment to our family. Our sister's initial…read morestay in the rehab wing was okay, not great and not quite subpar. Due to her health restrictions we were forced to make the decision to admit her as a resident. We greatly regret that decision. The majority of the nursing staff was dismissive of her health needs to the degree that vital medication was not dispensed in a timely manner. She was frequently left sitting in excrement for hours, once almost 24 hours, resulting in wounds on her buttocks and back. Her dietary restrictions were regularly ignored, resulting in the family ordering food being delivered to her. Unfortunately we were operating from out of state so we couldn't monitor her care in person. She has since been released to hospice care where her aides are appalled by the condition her many wounds. The greatest travesty is the lack of oversight for a location recommended by Medicare & Medicaid agencies. The management staff need to be held accountable. If at all possible, avoid this place at all costs.

I myself have visited this business on multiple occasions and have found the entirety of the business lacking in quality as well as the basic services necessary for the running a successful enterprise of this type. Even as I write this review while visiting my relative I am talking with another woman who said and I quote "The quality of this food breaks my heart!". If I who am here very rarely can see the poor quality of this establishment then I pity those who spend many of their days here in this sham of a residential center.
