My Bosch Dual Fuel 30" slide in Range suddenly wasn't heating properly. It would pre-heat but never get to the selected temp. Diagnosis was the main bottom Heating Element needed replacement. One was ordered and was sent FedExto my home in 2 days. Kris was assigned to install it. What a project. Nothing was simple or straight forward to get the old one out and new one in. I was horrified when he removed the old element...as you can see from the photo I attached. It's literally broke off in pieces and one section had the internal wires exposed. I'm surprised It didn't cause a house fire!!!!! It took an hour for Kris to remove and replace the element and get all the panels and wiring reinstalled. He made sure we tested it on both the PreHeat, the Traditional Bake, and the Convection Bake selections and it heated up to the proper temperature. It was yet another service call from Sears that complete left us satisfied. I'll be calling Sears Repair Services again in the spring to do our annual Lawn Tractor maintenance including Oil, Filters, Blade change, spark plug replacement and belts checked. We live on the same road as the business. We had an emergency call on a Sunday. They will not…read moreprovide emergency services for non established costumers. We cannot establish a relationship without receiving the help. This is a missed opportunity for Durkie to receive a long standing business relationship. Maybe this company is busy enough to turn away work. We understand that a possible maintenance service from this company would establish a customer base but they just lost any future business. Also, if we were customers we were quoted $425 just to dispatch an emergency call. This seems excessive, but we were willing to pay it. The service tech did offer to come out tomorrow (Monday). How would tomorrow make us a customer? Unfortunately, there is just not an interest in working.
