Either way, this is a very cool.park.and a great place to head towards to chill for awhile and allow stress to just escape you. A lot of people were enjoying taking their sailboats on the lake (or rather, the reservoir) it added to the overall atmosphere and gave the lake (err, reservoir) a vibe more fitting for a painting. If you are in the Jackson, Mississippi area, I would definitely recommend checking out this park. I will give Old Trace Park five stars overall and it definitely has my recommendation.

This is really not so much a park as it is a nice place for walking. The paved track which winds…read morethrough the trees and small pond is 2/3 of a mile. It's great for exercise and there are always squirrels running around. I also like to take some bread to feed the few ducks who reside here. The paved track is not the smoothest, so watch out for the bumps and cracks. Because of the wooded area, this may not be the best place to walk during the summer because it looks like it is a haven for mosquitos. There is a small playground area for the kiddos, but this would not be my park of choice to bring them to play. The places off the track get very wet and flooded with even a little rainfall. So, as for a park for family fun, this gets 1 star from me. If you're looking to get in some walking, it gets the 3 stars.
