I'd been trying to plan my first cruise for a while, comparing prices, feeling a bit lost. I…read morefinally found a cruise that sounded good, though it wasn't my first choice, and was about to book it through Costco, when I figured I'd check with an agent just in case I could get a better deal. I'd heard that travel agents could be helpful with cruises, especially for first-timers, but I was skeptical, since I generally plan all of our trips very cheaply myself. I contacted Mike, and he got back to me within minutes and was able to quote me a price on the same exact cruise for $1200 less (for our family of five.) I was very pleasantly surprised. So I then asked him to check on another cruise that we'd given up on - one that was during my mom's spring break, and probably everybody else's. This cruise was just out of our price range, and so we were going to have to give up on the idea of taking my mom along. Then Mike came back with a price that was well below what we'd found elsewhere, and even well below what we were going to pay Costco for our second choice. To my delight (and my husband's,) we are now planning a spring cruise with the grandma/babysitter! He even found adjoining balcony rooms for us - an ideal setup, as this will give us one big suite and two bathrooms to share, with the added bonus of being able to shut the door if somebody snores too loudly (I won't say who.) Mike has been extremely responsive to every question, however silly, I've had about this trip. He gets back to me very quickly and answers all my questions in a very clear, organized manner. I feel so much better about going on my first cruise with all my questions answered by somebody who knows what he's talking about and never seems just to be trying to sell me something. I called about two weeks ago because another couple and we,…read moredecided on the spur of the moment, that since there were no available cruises in Portugal, we'd just rent a hotel room in Lisbon and take local tours. We didn't know exactly when except September or October. Mike's response was, "THIS year?" He walked us through deciding on a date, and started work. I know this is a busy time for him; but within a few days, he had gotten us hotel reservations and air fare from both San Antonio and Sacramento. We requested either private or very small tours, although I wasn't sure such options exited. As with everything else, within a couple of days, he had a variety of tours that fit our criteria. He was wonderful about trying to divide the prices of the tours so that each couple paid about half. So... it's now early July and we are set for the end of September! THANK YOU, Mike.
