Unfortunately, the program did not deliver what was promised. The CNA portion was very limited, and I did not feel properly trained or prepared. There was little to no real instruction for the Med Tech portion at all. It felt misleading compared to how the program was advertised. The hands-on training at a nursing home was also unprofessional at times, and proper procedures were not consistently followed, which was concerning. Overall, I feel like I did not receive the quality education or training that I signed up for. I hope they improve their program and become more transparent for future students.

We bought math workbooks and a subscription to IXL to use during the summer. However, it became clear that having regular sessions and attention from a tutor was needed. Having me, her parent, as her tutor was . . . challenging for us both. Mathnasium seemed like something to try next. After the initial skills assessment, we decided to sign her up for the summer sessions. After a few sessions, it became clear that she was loving it. She enthusiastically attended each session this summer (20 one-hour sessions!), had a great time with the tutors, and learned quite a bit. I took the road test a few days after the lesson and passed it on the first try itself. I was a little nervous because of the rule that Naheel could not administer the road-test for me. But her husband, who did the road test, was also very fair and professional. My passing the road test would not have been possible without the excellent and patient coaching provided by Naheel during my lesson. I highly recommend this company to all new drivers, especially if you are an adult-driver who needs to get a US license.

WTF?! Here's a detailed timeline if you want to read more. 1. I scheduled an appointment with them at 12:30, showed up at 12:10. During the wait, nobody told me what I needed to do. At around 12:20, I walked up to a male instructor and let him know that I had an appointment at 12:30. He told me to wait until it was my turn, and someone would come to me. Nobody ever came up to me. 2. At around 12:40, I went up to a female instructor who just came back from a road test. I told her that I had an appointment at 12:30. The female instructor told me that she was running late and was supposed to leave at 1:00 pm. She had to do another test originally scheduled at 12:00, but another instructor would do my test instead. She didn't apologize to anyone affected by her delay. 3. At around 1 pm, the male instructor came back. I went up to him and told him again that my test was scheduled at 12:30, but he had another test to do and said I would be the next. 4. At around 1:20, the female instructor came back. I didn't expect her to give me the test because she said she was going to leave at 1:00, but I saw her standing 30 feet away from my car seemingly waiting for me like I was supposed to know what to do. 5. As I pulled up to her, she didn't come close to my window or anything. I brought my documents and walked up to her. She started saying that she wouldn't be giving me the test, but she would help fill up my paperwork. 6. As she was filling up the paperwork, she asked me where I learned to drive. I wasn't sure what kind of answer I was supposed to give her, like which road I learned to drive on? I thought she might've asked 'when' instead of 'where' so I tried to confirm with her. Then she changed the question to who taught me to drive. I told her "it was my friend, to be more specific, my husband". She hesitated and asked, 'so...your partner?' I sensed some hostility towards my homosexuality but I didn't take it very seriously as there might be some cultural and/or religious difference. 7. After she was done with the paperwork, she instructed me to start the road test. Wait, what? I thought she wasn't going to do my road test? When did it change? Maybe she's just gonna do my parking test and let the other instructor take over after? Anyway, I was glad if she was to give me the road test because it means I didn't have to wait any longer, but I would appreciate it more if I could be informed of any plan change for the test I paid for. 8. After the parking test, she got in my car. I explained to her that I was planning to adjust my mirrors even though they were already adjusted because I heard people say it's a must in the test. She didn't respond. But as I was adjusting the mirrors, she asked very impatiently, 'Can you move?' 9. The way she spoke with me and the way she gave instructions during the road test was very condescending with a lack of respect and professionalism. Despite me waiting for about an hour and how uncomfortable she made me feel, I showed her great respect. Each time she 'issued a command', I would say 'okay, thank you' to show my appreciation for her time and to confirm that her instruction was received. 10. In the end, we had an argument. She stormed out of my car without a proper conclusion. I said to her as she was getting in her car, ''thank you for making us wait for one hour". She replied, "You are welcome" with contempt on her face. I guess some people take pride in being rude. 11. She didn't give me my receipt so we drove to their office to get it. She kept us locked out the whole time except when she handed out the receipt. When my husband pointed out that she was tardy and unprofessional, she just threw at our face an unexplained and ungrounded accusation of us being prejudicial.

Ann Arbor Arms is THE BEST range, store, and training facility for anyone from novice to professional/competitive shooter. It had been YEARS since I had handled a firearm. My biggest apprehension was if I could remember how to be safe from handling to firing to range. I joined A3 as an elite member last year but finally "pulled the trigger" (hehe) and signed up for a Ladies' Night last week. This was the best decision I could have made to reintroduce myself. Ladies' Night was from 5-7pm, with two hours of instruction and walk through before heading down to the range. Not only instruction but conversation, snacks and a safe space for women to ask any questions. A3 provided the sidearms and ammo. Everyone had a great time and was able to fire 12 shots at a target provided. I left with a lot more confidence to visit and expand my skill by leveraging the elite membership. I cannot say enough of how fantastic A3 is for a gun owner. They have tons of specials, sales, events and the membership perks are amazing. This was not my first visit or class but this was the first time I ever fired at this range. Hit me up if you have any questions or want to get a membership. The range staff keeps a close eye on the range and addresses issues to prevent a safety issue. The ranges are temperature controlled and in great working order. They are suitable for pistol or initial rifle setup but you really need an outdoor 100 yard range if you want to dial in for hunting. I have not taken any classes there yet but have heard good things from others. They can take your from the basics to advanced. I see the shooters who have taken classes and it shows.

There aren't bathrooms in the office so go before, but you can leave and get re-screened at any time. I got the standard 2 laminated sheets with 2 thin dry erase markers and a tissue to erase, erasing takes some elbow grease but I didn't have to worry about getting replacements which was nice. They also provide noise cancelling headphones, they weren't the most comfortable but the room itself is very quiet in general so no problems there. They definitely discouraged writing on the sheets during the tutorial, so if you want to prep for PAT, do it during the SNS section. Good luck!

All the staff was efficient, calm, courteous and seemed to appreciate that people testing there were under a lot of stress already. The testing room was quiet, clean, and had earphones at each desk to block out any noise. There were no glitches in the exam/computer itself. The screening done every time you left the room and reentered was more detailed than a TSA airport screening so be prepared. You cannot bring water into the test room but you can come out to get drinks. For me the chairs were not that comfortable and difficult to adjust for my height so my back pain got distracting after 2 hours of the 4 hour test. Kudos to the staff for doing their jobs well.
