Pebble Spa is always one of my go-tos when I'm in Ely. I've loved every one of my massage therapists and always leave feeling so relaxed. Prices are super reasonable as well. Nothing feels better than going here on a cold winter day. I've had many massages here ... but the hot stone by Melissa might be my favorite. The gift shop has really great clothes, hand bags and other nice spa-ish stuff. I love that it's in a old building where the floors creak and the treatment rooms are like cozy dark mini living rooms. My daughter did the Ely Spa package and was very pleased. My sister in law had a 90 minute foot and hand massage. She was in heaven. The staff is super nice, unpretentious and know their craft. I have gone to Pebbles Spa many times and have brought friends. I have enjoyed it until now. I had booked a pedicure for my two grandkids but the morning of the pedicure they became sick with fevers. I called right away in the morning before 9 AM and left a message that I could not bring them in. they charged me $50. they said it was a cancellation fee. now they never told me when I booked it that there was a fee nor did I sign anythung stating so. they charged my credit card. so I guess the next time I have Covid or the flu I will just come in and infect everyone! read more

My husband treated me to a 60 minute prenatal massage at The Pebble. I had an appointment with Brandy McLinn and she did not disappointment. She paid attention to all my problem areas, spent good time on my knots and was super sweet. If I didn't love so far away I would visit her often. Next time I am back in Ely I will be sure to book another hour and more with her. The Pebble is a cute little boutique too. I managed to find some stuff to take home during my shopping trip after my massage. I would definitely recommend paying The Pebble a visit anytime you are in Ely. read more

I've always loved Pebble, even back when they were way down on the west side of town. I love the boutique and I've gotten spa treatments here before. I visit Ely 1-2 times per year and always make it a point to stop at the Pebble and I almost always buy something. That being said, my most recent trip left me very disappointed. I was in Ely for a week in May and I made two trips to the Pebble. The first one I was alone, I'm 21 so maybe they thought I was just some teenager who didn't have money so I didn't interest the girls working but when I walked in there were 2-3 girls at the counter, not one of them said a word to me. I walked around the whole front of the store then made my way to the back. I was back there for a couple minutes looking at some sale items and the new home goods section when one of the girls came back and asked (in an unwelcoming tone) if there was something that I needed. I said no, because I had obviously been browsing. But I walked out shortly after that even though I had seen some things I had liked and wanted to try on. I ended up returning a few days later to buy a dress, sadly my customer service experience didn't get any better. No one greeted us as we walked in (I even brought my mom to see if being young was the issue) or asked if we were looking for something in particular. They also didn't ask if I wanted the three dresses I was carrying to be taken to the fitting room (I know that's not a typical "Ely" thing but if they're trying to be an upscale boutique & spa you'd think they'd have higher level of customer service than the outfitters in town). Although I did end up buying a dress, I'm not sure if I'll make another trip to the Pebble during my next trip to Ely in August. I've always known the people of Ely to be especially friendly, I guess that's not a requirement to work at the Pebble. Hopefully they work on their customer service skills before the summer season really kicks up. read more

The newly expanded store caters mostly to the female set but also includes little gifts, delightful treats and some kids stuff as well. My husband and I came to the spa as a treat to celebrate our first anniversary (Virginia location). Neither of us have spent much time in a spa and had never had a massage. I'm exceptionally ticklish and was nervous that I wouldn't be able to relax and enjoy the massage. Let me assure you, it wasn't a problem whatsoever! We took advantage of the October special for the Double Treatment which was a salt scrub and foot soak, an hour long massage and a half hour sauna with tea and truffles. My husband, more power to him, rocked that spa scene. Both of us really enjoyed our massages. The sauna, I could probably skip, not really my thing but it would have been nice if you liked that! All in all, it was a great introduction to what a spa like theirs has to offer. I don't know how often I'll be in the Virginia area but I'd go back again if I had occasion to. read more

I had a 30 minute deep tissue massage and 60 minute blueberry pie foot treatment with Bailey yesterday. She was FANTASTIC! 7 stars. I had just spent a week in the boundary waters so my shoulders were destroyed and I had a gnarly sunburn. My back usually bugs me for about a week after coming out of the boundary waters but after my massage I'm pretty much back to normal. She even made a little Shea butter concoction for my sun burn. The four stars is because I was a little disappointed that the foot treatment didn't include a pedicure. I know there's a note in the pamphlet about 'tools and polish are available for personal use' but it wasn't clear that that meant the person doing my pedicure wouldn't be using the tools or polish. I would have used the tools and polish but it would have felt a little strange to plop down right there in the middle of a spa and trim my cuticles. It would have been nice if someone would have clarified what exactly is included in the foot treatment when I made the reservation. Overall I was more than pleased with my experience, the interior was beautiful and warm and inviting, the staff was attentive and looked like they enjoyed being there, and the prices were on point (except the non-pedicure). I just left the Pebble Spa and had the 30 minute scalp massage, it is hands down the best spa experience I have ever had! The place is beautiful and Lauren was wonderful. I cannot wait to return to Ely and spend and entire day here :) read more
