I was amazed at how reasonable some of the bikes were priced. I've never ridden an electric bike so I have no idea really whether they are much more efficient than a regular bike, but some of the bikes on offer there are in the same price range as many bikes which don't have little motors on them. So if they are good I wouldn't mind one, living around the city parking is such a pain (I got a ticket yesterday, aaaagggghhhhhh) and this would certainly be a possible transport alternative. Also they have these really cute foldable bikes with little wheels, which could almost be mistaken for scooters. If you just lost your license, check it out.

This store was originally near Martin Place before relocating too much larger premises in Westfields Sydney. The new store is absolutely amazing. The fit out is breathtaking and definitely up to world standards (think Opening Ceremony in Tokyo or Colete in Paris, only slightly more conservative in aesthetic). The product assortment is beautifully curated. The last time I was there the lady that served me was really helpful. I was looking to buy a shirt. She showed me the whole collection and explained the differences in each of the shirts. Her knowledge of the products they sell was incredible. They take a very service orientated approach to sales, which I love. They even offered me a cup of tea or coffee while I was viewing the collection. I will definitely be coming back. No problems they said, the other 2 are in Melbourne so we'll have them sent up. ELEVEN days later I got a call saying my T shirt (singular) had arrived so I said that I was expecting 2 of them. The not-so-switched-on salesgirl said she'd look into it and get back to me but she never did. So I went in today to pick them/it up and was told that there were in fact 2 identical T-shirts but they were from different seasons so I could have the older one at 30% off but the newer one would be full price. I asked another not-so-switched on salesgirl if she could check with the manager if I could get them both for the price I paid for the first one so off she went to ask. When she came back a fair while later she said that the T-shirt should never have been marked down in the first place and that I'd have to pay full price for both of them. In light of all the stuffing around, delays and the fact that I've bought a fair bit from them, I felt that this was pretty shabby service so I told them they could keep both of them. I will not be back. Anytime management wonder why business is so bad, and where all their customers went (online) just take a look at the 2nd rate service, inflated prices and ever diminishing product offering for your answer. Oh, and by the way if you now want to pay with Amex, that'll be an additional 3% surcharge. Does ANY online store do that? I think not.

That position is a newly transplanted University student, with a limited budget and lack of desire to spend my days here trolling Gumtree for a deal on a used bike. With all that said, I went in here and got exactly what I wanted, for a pretty good price, with almost no hassle, and a few extras thrown in to boot. I got a 'fixie' or fixed gear bike, for about $350, which came with a lock, some lights, and a water bottle and some servicing I think. Anyway, it's been a fantastic bike so far, and it was nice that they threw in all the extras, even if they weren't the best quality. So if you're looking for a bike to get you around town and don't want to spend $1000, I'd give Reid's a look, they have all different styles of bikes, and the prices are pretty solid.

So I ordered one in store, with the package of bike pumps, helmet and a whole host of other bits and pieces. My very first bike!! I was excited. Plus 3 years servicing. I was advised that my bike would be ready within 10 business days as they didn't have the colour I wanted in store. Sure, no problem I say. They advise they will call me to let me know when it's ready. So I paid and off I went. Day 8: I call them to check that my bike will be ready to pick up that weekend as I hadn't heard anything from them. They put me on hold as they can't find my paperwork. The guy gets back on the phone and says yes, absolutely, it should be ready by Saturday which is day 10. I request a call back just to confirm that this is the case so I don't waste my time coming in if it's not ready. He advises that it's marked to get a call when it's ready for collection. Day 11: I call and leave a message as no one was answering the phone in the morning. By midday I had no response so sent an email as well requesting a call as per my voice mail message that morning. By 3pm I hadn't gotten a call back so decided to call them again. Finally got through to someone who couldn't find my paperwork and put me on hold again. He came back on the phone to advise that my bike hadn't been set up because my paperwork had been overlooked. Great. So even after I called a few days before it was due to be picked up as per your company's 10 business day turn around quote, you still haven't gotten it ready. I get an apology from person on phone, I realise it's not his fault however am having trouble containing my frustration. He advises that he will see what he can do and call me back. 3pm same day he calls me back and advises that it's ready for pick up. I advise that it isn't really helpful as it's a Sunday afternoon and I'm busy out of town with family. I had set aside time the day before when it was meant to be due to be picked up to get this done. I advise that I can't get back into the store until the following weekend as I have no time during the week. By this stage I'm feeling like I've just handed over $400 to a company to screw me around and offer me no customer service what-so-ever. So I go in the following Saturday to pick up my bike. They wheel it out and it doesn't have the studded seat as per my order. They apologise and take it away to fix. They bring it back out again and hand it over. I was advised when I was looking at the bike that they would get me to sit on it so that it can be adjusted to my height. There was no adjusting. There was no looking at anything. I was handed the bike and the guy spun on his heels and walked away without a word. Suffice to say that I wasn't really happy with the service to date so I sent an email the following week in regards to my experience and how poorly it was handled. To this day I still haven't gotten a response from management or the store. So if you're after a bike? Go somewhere else. I'm gutted that I have to use these people for servicing for the next 3 years as it is. Apart from that the bike works well. Pity about the actual non-existent customer service though.
