Had some good experiences with the doctors and staff. Waiting times are slow as typical medical in all of Miami. It's not the worst but even for simple procedures like a scheduled flu shot- you'd think should be just in and out, takes at least half an hour of waiting. Even when you get a morning appointment, you think things tend to go smoother, it's just as busy. Calling for an appointment is a long wait. They have options online but if you have specific questions or needs you have to call. Luckily they have a system that calls you back so you don't have to stay on the line forever. Right now only one adult is allowed with a patient due to covid procedures. They also do temp checks in the waiting room. Be warned that the parking spaces are not made for people with car seats or strollers. They just as narrow as anywhere else and with the typical horrible miami drivers, who can't park, expect to be readjusting your car just to get in and out. read more

I recommend avoiding pediatric associates. While I love my child's doctor, the headache and hassle of managing everything else associated with patient care is ridiculous. After 18 months I just cannot keep doing it. This company is only suitable for your child's care if you enjoy the following: - having difficulty reaching your child's doctor - getting routed through a million automated messages to make an appointment -having a machine hang up on you when, in fact, you needed to speak to a human and none of the options in the voicemail were clearly applicable to your case. - getting sent to online portals for everything, and having these online portals glitch. - getting central call centers answering the phone when you call, and hearing they can't tell your office you are getting there 20 minutes earlier or five minutes after your appointment. -waiting two hours to be seen when you have an 8:15am appointment and arrived at 8:00am for check in. read more

Terrible experience. Even with an appointment we waited over an hour in the waiting room, then another 40 minutes in the exam room before the doctor finally came in. The staff were rude and clearly didn't care, and the doctor had a very bad attitude--rushed, unfriendly, and not helpful. I am impressed the poor service they are offering now, for more than 10 years I have my kid with Pediatric Associate, they don't care about people waiting for hours (with appointment) on the office in Doral, but today I'm on the phone waiting for more than one hour because I need a sport form, they say it can be requested online but is hard to find on their portal, There is no way a live person answer. They should keep in mind that work with human, KIDS and health, if they are not able to handle it, look for more employees or do not accept more patients. My kids had been coming here since they were babies, even though the waiting time is always horrible, the location is good... however, now and out of the blue they are charging your insurance extra if you book an appoinment after 5:00pm, because even thou they are open, they considered that after hours and when you book online it did not said anything about it, so now you have to paid your copayment plus an "after hours" fee. just not fair at all. read more

This place is good for small standard stuff, immunizations and colds. Outside of that I don't recommend this place at all. I type this as I sit on hold for 30 mins just to leave a message to one of the doctors. Unfortunately I haven't had the best experience with this place when I've needed their assistance in certain matters from pre-op requirements to ADHD I will be looking for a different pediatrician. read more

My appointment was scheduled for 7:45am. They sent me a text saying to arrive at 7:30am. I got there at 7:41am time and the doors were locked. The sign said they didn't open until 8am. So I knock on the door because I am confused by the requirement to arrive at 7:30am. The girl at the front opens the door and says they don't open until 7:45 so I asked her "then why was I scheduled to come in at 7:30?" She says the system just does that but you have to wait outside. I said it's cold outside for my baby to be out here. She claimed I was giving her a rude tone and acting a certain uneducated way. I said "acting like a protective mother making sure her child isn't in the cold." She allowed me to sit inside after a a small power battle. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD! I have been trying to get my sons prescription corrected for 2 days! They don't care and have no knowledge on how to properly manage a medical office. The doctors here are all wonderful,very knowledgeable and caring. I have never had an issue with with any of them with my two kids. However, when it comes to the staff they fall way short. Although, they are friendly they just are not too professional. After the doctor came to see my son really quickly the nurses took way too long for the shots. Ok I'm not sure why all the bad reviews. The only really negative thing I can say is the traffic! It is in the heart of Doral and traffic going in and out is horrific. I've been going to PA for 3 months now (my son is 3 mon old) and I have not had an issue yet. Staff: The staff is very kind and handle any questions or issues I may have every time I go some are not very knowledgeable but do their best to assist you. I love the nurses they remember my son and his name every time we go. Granted there is one or two that just seem to hate their jobs but that's in EVERY office. Doctors: I've interacted with most of the doctors, my favorite is Dr. Fiero but she is ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS booked she's booked through February but she is so awesome, she takes the time to explain everything. The next one on my list is Dr. Iglesias the rest are OK, they do their job. Appts: I can call into the nurses hotline at 3am and have an appointment for the next morning at 8am. I can call in and reschedule for the same day, I can call in concerned and speak with a nurse, I can make appts up to 8pm (Doral location), I can make sat and sun appts, I can do video appts till 11pm with a doctor. What more do you need? Here is an example why I rate them highly, My son's medication ran out because they had upped his dosage, the insurance refused to refill it before time, I called the doctor's office at 430pm and explained the situation and told them he only had enough medicine for tonight, they contacted the doctor, sent in a new prescription, called the pharmacy and had the medication refilled within 40 minutes and I didn't even have to raise my voice (and I was agitated with the insurance) . Do I recommend them? Yes I do, best doctor is Dr. Fiero if you can't get her go with Dr. Iglesias, they are all good doctors these are just my favorites. read more

Really, really grateful for them last night when my son went into anaphylaxis. They took us right in, 1 doctor, 3 nurses all stabilized him while waiting for fire & rescue. The kindest, certainty & professionalism they showed was absolutely the best! They didn't ask us if we were patients or for any insurance info. They just worked to get him stable. This branch has the worst service, I asked for a mask for my child since I didn't have any available, they claimed to not have masks and then sent me to buy one in CVS, their wait time is for approximately 2+ hours even with an appointment, their pediatrician canceled my sons well check appointment because she had a vacation that she put her hours for vacation after my son had his appointment scheduled. I absolutely love Dr. Fierro which is the only reason why we go to that office. However, trying to get an appointment with her is practically impossible, today I was told she's booked for the rest of the year, how can that be possible? Is only March. When us parents choose a doctor for our kids we want to make sure that we can have at least the well check ups with our Doctor, the one that we choose and trust, we choose that doctor for a reason and is very frustrating to be told that our doctor is not available every time we call, if our kids are sick we need to see a different doctor, one that neither me our my kids know, if there is a pre existing condition that needs follow up we can never follow up with our doctor because next time we need an appointment she is not available. Pros: open 365 days a week and after hours. Always have an appt available for sick children! Friendly front desk staff! Friendly environment . Friendly docs Cons : very long waiting time while in the room waiting for the doctors to see you . The docs spend 2 mins on assessment on my child and spend 10 mins on the computer typing with not a lot of one-on- one interactions with the parents. And they always seems to be in a hurry to leave and it makes the parents feel like they have to ask the questions quickly before the doctors leave. Many of my doctor encounters are always once they finished typing , they at walking towards the doors trying to get out of the rooms and avoiding the parents to ask for questions!!! The doctors are very friendly but ALWAYS in a hurry to leave ! Doctors should be there wanting to educate the parents on their sick child so they don't go home with questions in their heads. But I have not yet meet one at this office that takes their time with the parents and their child!!! read more

My 2 year old son had hives from an allergic reaction and we went in for the aftercare services at around 7 pm. After a 2 hour process of wait and consultation with a very pompous Dr. Gonzalez, she prescribed medicines to a CVS pharmacy which had already closed. We attempted to get the prescriptions at a 24 hour CVS and they said the computer system would not allow it. So we quickly drove back to the office to get a new prescription. As we got back there two ladies were walking out, closing the doors and they said they could not get a hold of Dr. Gonzalez or any other Doctor to prescribe my baby's medicine. In the meantime, these two ladies were observing my child crying hysterically inside our car full of hives, tired and sick after 2 previous nights at emergency rooms. They showed no concern, empathy or willingness to help out a sick baby and sleep-deprived, desperate parents. They said they couldn't help in any ways, locked the doors in front of our noses and walked away from us. We then drove to a nearby CVS and this sweet angel of a pharmacist managed to override the system and get the babies prescriptions ready, this was at 10 pm already. Needless to say, I am taking my baby to another Dr's office and I am neither using their services nor recommending them to anyone ever again. Bottom-line is, if you do not have the aptitude and compassion to work with sick people specially babies, please choose another career. read more

Friday 1215pm we walked in with my 2 yr old in tow vomiting profusely. No other patient in the waiting area so I thought they would prioritize my issue. Wrong! Had to wait for over two hours as the front desk personnel said that "there was no one at the back available..."really??? Then came somebody else who seemed to be a nurse (?!), and basically said we had to wait as everyone was at lunch - she actually pointed to the door kind of signaling we should really leave and come back, but since it was raining cats and dogs she told us we could wait...You've got to kidding.....The medical staff in this joint is made out of 5 pediatricians and there was not a single one available at noon time???Do they all leave for lunch happy hour????How about the RNs, there were several people dressed in medical clothes just hanging out....and no one seem to bother with our emergency. My kid vomited a few times in the waiting area, and the puke spread to the floor. We told them about that and they said "someone is coming to clean". Not a single soul bothered to do it for the next 2 hrs we sat there...the area probably still stinks to puke. Granted, they are not an urgent care center. Nevertheless they list their hours m-f 800-830pm and sat 8-noon so I would expect better service particularly given they were not busy. The 2nd star is because the front desk and the wait time is good, but I started seeing dr Victoria Ferro. She is the best doctor, but when my kids get sick the next appointment available with her is 7 to 10 days later and the disease doesn't wait and I have to select another dr. After I chose dr Sharon Acosta and don't waste your time with her. She is there only to work but not is a good pediatrician. She doesn't take time to check the kids. She doesn't have pedagogy with kids and is very serious. I was with my mother, and she came to the room without greet. So I never come back to that place read more

Awful experiences at Pediatrics Associates Doral. Since i live in Doral my two daughters attend this place with Dra Fierro (wonderful doctor) but i can not understand why the staff are the worst in town. This is the second time that they gave to my wife a wrong referral for an specialist. We waited almost two months for this appointment and just came to the specialist and they told again the document was wrong. Is impossible to get an appointment with Dra Fierro (even 30 days before) it's insane. I have been at this place since 2014, but now i'm thinking to change the pediatrics for my daughters. read more

This place is a mess Nobody knows what they are doing, I had a bunch of problems with the way they work 1. Doctors never return your call,only if you harass calling, its a medical assistant that are very limited because she is not a doctor! 2. The staff is super lazy, my husband had to pick up a form that the doctor said it would be done when he got there the girl in the front desk said that there was no note and no form, I called back they figured that the girl in front desk made a mistake and dis not look at the notes. My husband lost time going there and he had to return the next day. 3. Asked them to sent my sons prescription to walgreens because I just changed his insurance I did not know that walgreens was not part of his plan, I got back to the office and asked them to sent to cvs instead, Marcia the manager told me that I would need to wait for the next day to get the medication so I insisted that I need the rx and asked if the dr could write for me and I would take to the pharmacy she said that the doctor was busy and could not do it I told her that I needed because was my child's medication she said that I had to wait until the doctor was finished with all her patients, I waited for 1 hour for her to give me my rx, not counting her bad attitude and throwing the rx at the desk. 4. The front desk staff are suuuper unfriendly, no people person skills at all. 5. My son had 103 fever for almost 3 days I took him to the hospital because the appointment they had was far when I asked for the dr to call me back it took her 3 days to call me back after I harassed them calling all the time, detail the er doctor called me the next day to ask about my sons health. I have used them since my daughter was born she is three I always plan my appointments ahead of time and the have extended after hours in case of an urgent matter or sickness. I have used them several times. Teedra is great with my daughter and I. She has been our medical assistant several times and is always happy. Yesiivey is also very nice. People have to understand they do have long wait times because they answer all your questions and spend time with you. They will do the same with you so be patient. read more

My kids have been patients for the Doral office for a couple of years now. I honestly have yet to have a horrendous experience. Yes, I have to wait although I have an appt However, when I do go in to see my Dr ( or any Dr that was assigned to me) I get the time I need for my kids and my questions are always answered. During my last appt, the girls in the front desk were very acomodating in order to get an appt ASAP for my son's ADHD re-eval.
