The massage was thorough and she was able to relieve many of my knotted muscles and trouble spot. Danyle was amazing and knowledgeable and truly a master of her trade!

I am very glad I was recommended Speech Pathology at Parkland Rehabilitation with SPL David Kenney…read moreby my doctor. He was able to help me get my new voice after losing my voice from getting sick and then getting laryngitis. I am on the phone all day in my full-time work in sales, so it was imperative I took the time to get the strength I needed before returning to 40 hours a week of speaking. It took three months of intermittent therapy in order for me to regain my vocals full-time. David was very open about each stage I went through in order to ensure I was completely aware of what I am supposed to do and what I should expect, even if it meant unknowns because some areas were unpredictable and I needed to be prepared. My attending doctor also made certain I was aware that once I started back at work with his official release, that nothing was certain about how well my voice will hold up or not. So, I asked to retain David's therapy until I was absolutely comfortable and confident that my voice would not relapse or drop in strength or ability. I appreciate also that David shared his personal challenges with voice needs which reiterated the work we had accomplished with me illustrating he was well-versed in what he was having me practice. After I started back at work officially, I ensured I took full advantage of the warm up worksheets David provided me from the beginning of our sessions to the last ones. It was extremely valuable. I cried so much and so many times thinking I lost my voice for good. David was so well-informed and knowledgeable about his practices that I was able to restore my vocals with his personal and professional experience. I cannot thank him enough for helping me understand the importance of vocal care and its reciprocating health. Everyone knows this or that, but until you are unable to speak, you will be unable to know the extreme pain it brings you when it affects your passion, mine being a singer/songwriter for over 30 years. My passion was on the line, and he helped me gain it back with even better vocals than I had prior to. In fact, I am now at the same or better level as I was in college when taking vocal courses weekly and winning contests. It's now up to me to never let go of all that he and my doctors helped me reclaim through David's warm-ups - that I still do daily - and overall cognizance of my vocal health throughout my life.

I fell off a set of stairs in early 2025 which resulted in a high-impact tibial "Schatzker 6…read morefracture." Luckily I did not need surgery. Eight weeks later the full leg cast was removed and my leg came out like a noodle. I was nervous if I'd ever walk normally again. I was matched with Matt O'Rourke at St Jos rehab (Nashua NH) and he was the PERFECT fit for my severe injury!! He teaches PT at Simmons College in Boston and REALLY knows his stuff!! He is a great listener, observer and detail oriented with action plans. He gave me targeted exercise-homework after each visit which accelerated my progress. I entered PT in a wheelchair and four months later, I was able to fly to Europe (lots of walking) and a month after that, get on a boat to a remote Maine island for lots of hiking -- oh, and I was able to walk/hike 10K-16K steps a day on the trips. Matt O'Rourke is THE BEST PT in Nashua!! Thank you, Matt!!

Those fears were quickly replaced when I met the smiling receptionists who welcomed me to their facility followed quickly by meeting Chris Forbes who was to be my therapist for the next five weeks. Chris was great! I went to my first session using a walker followed in a week by a cane and then in three weeks using nothing for external support. Chris was the consummate professional. challenging me to do more but never more than I could do. he was supportive and understanding . My fears of what rehab could be were quickly displaced and the results spoke for themselves. I would highly recommend St Joe's for your rehab needs. thank you Chris - you made rehab "almost " enjoyable!
