Saw there were a few negative reviews so I thought I'd leave my thoughts. I've been coming to them since 2022 when my son was born. Ever since then, the doctors nurses & staff here have always been kind and helped us out whenever possible. Today I had a flu shot appointment for my son. And not only were all 3 staff members super kind to us, but my appointment time was 30 minutes ago and im already home because of how quick they are. Maybe if you're having bad experiences here, it's because of your own attitude? Im picky about healthcare, but I love these guys read more

Office staff is horrible! Doctors are horrible! They refuse to take sick visits and say you should just go to urgent care. My child ended up being admitted to the hospital and the Pediatricians there said to leave their practice immediately due to negligence. I'm so glad we left!!!! read more

The receptionists are incredibly rude have been bringing my children here for 6 years and have always been meet with an attitude no matter what the conversation is about. I held my tongue for years but recently we moved and getting their records sent to the new dr has been aggravating and they consistently talk to me like I'm stupid. read more

PediatriCare Associates have some of the best NJ pediatricians, many of whom were rated tops in NJ monthly magazine. I have three boys and our personal favorites are Dr. Bienstock (who is our primary pediatrician), Dr. Zucker and Dr. Namerow (who is now retired). We have been using this practice (which was recommended by doctors at The Valley Hospital) since our children were born (our oldest is now 20). If I ever have a problem with anything, I send an e-mail to Dr. Bienstock, who immediately responds. All of the doctors will provide you and your family with the most comprehensive, progressive, consumer oriented health care available. They make you feel that watching your children grow is just as important to them as it is to you! They have three additional locations in addition to Pompton Plains, there is one in Fairlawn, Mahwah, and Woodland Park -- one of these offices I am sure will be the right fit for you! I highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for the best pediatricians in these areas! CONS: You may have to wait, especially for a sick visit and sometimes for a well visit (if there a lot of sick visits). read more

I want to point this out first!! I am not the kind of mother that takes their kid to the Dr for every cough and sniffle. But when I do go to the Dr. I want them to do what they are supposed to do!! I have brought both of my daughters here since they were born but finally got feed up with taking my daughters to other Dr's and Medi centers because they could not diagnose my kids right the first time. Therefore having to pay twice for something they should have diagnosed to begin with. Then there is the billing department which is the worst!! I've been to this office twice, normally I go to the Woodland Park office where I normally see Dr. Shafi (who is fantastic!) I had an extremely bad experience at the doctor's office where I used to take my oldest daughter so finding PediatriCare Associates was a blessing. The reason why I'm writing a review for this office is because I wanted to highlight the actions of Dr. Urquhart. Firstly, I called in the morning and they were able to schedule me for an appointment at 4:30 (the woodland park office was fully booked.) Once I arrived, I waited about 10 minutes and I was in with the nurse and shortly after with Dr. Urquhart. My daughter was suffering from an extreme headache, high fever and vomiting (thankfully the flu was ruled out!) While we were there, our regular doctor just so happened to be in this office so Dr. Urquhart invited her into our room (which was so thoughtful, this was something she didn't at all have to do.) Both doctors recommended us to go to the ER and so we did. What happened the following day is what really touched my heart. I received a personal phone call from Dr. Urquhart following up with Aubrey's condition (something that is uncommon for doctors to do, at least from my experience.) We spoke on the phone and she reassured me that I was doing my best for my daughters condition. Her personal phone called removed a ton of weight off my shoulders because my daughters condition was not getting better. Anyway, all this to say that although my daughters circumstance was unfortunate, Dr. Urquhart's small gesture made a lasting impact in our lives! read more

Predatory billing practices. They use the wrong codes to get more money and if you ask them about it they make excuses then say well that's how we bill everyone. A weight check gets billed as a feeding problem. A second weight check resulted in 4 extra codes not present the first time even though the checkups were identical. And the Dr putting something on to dry a navel after the cord falling off gets billed as surgery. read more

I recently had a visit for my son. We arrived at around 945am for a 10am apt. We were seen into the room around 10 and the nurse or medical assistant came in to do her thing. We then waited for another 25-30 in the really small room to see the doctor. I sent out to talk to the staff two time to see why the wait was so long. My 18 month old was getting annoyed being in the room with just a diaper on, as they requested. We ended up see a different doctor then who we wanted to see. We are current looking for a new practice as they do not care out others time. The double book appointments all the time. This is not the first or second time this has happened. The overall care is good, but no regard for parents time. read more

I am surprised by the two negative reviews. We've used this practice since moving to Wayne since 2010. The staff has always been very helpful and the doctors always seem to have both common sense and a good "bedside" manner. Perhaps the other offices have issues, but we've never had a problem at Pompton Plains. Our children have used this office since (a) birth through age 4 1/2 and (b) age 3 through 7 1/2. They also accommodate evening emergencies and weekend emergencies. I've also always gotten reasonably prompt call backs during non-business hours. The other good thing is if you have an emergency and you need to go to one of the other offices, they have a good system for making your records available to the other office. read more

I have been going to this practice for almost 10 years since one of my neighbors recommended Dr.Torres whom is no longer with the practice. I absolutely loved Dr.Torres. When she left I was so upset and could not get an answer from the staff as to where she went if in fact she went to another practice. I did initially like this practice at first but then when my son went for his well care visits I dreaded going here. My son is 9 years old and is normal height and can lose 5-10 pounds. The first time the one doctor a woman, can't recall her name basically said he was overweight right in front of my son. Then my son was I think 7 years old. He then obsessed over his weight and said mommy am I fat? She could have pulled me aside and spoke to me in private. The second time was with another doctor a male doctor who stood behind my son and with his hands said he is big. Again I know my son can lose some weight but he is not obese. The last straw was when they said said my daughter whom gained 8 pounds in a year but grew 4 inches too stated that she was fat. My daughter is a rail and I beg her to eat. She eats like a bird. By no means is she fat. Thank goodness the doctor did not say this in front of my 7 year old daughter. The staff is just okay. Sometimes they are nice sometimes not. It depends if they are having a good day. Wait time is ridiculous. I had an appointment for 4 wasn't seen till 5 but then put in exam room went through nurse's questions. Waited longer to see doctor. Got out at 5:45 maybe 5:50. They overbook and there waiting room is mostly packed. Sometimes when they put you in the exam room you wait another good 30 minutes to be seen. I am leaving this practice because I no longer want to dread well care visits since I feel judged as a parent. After these visits I feel like a horrible parent. The doctors tell me what I should and shouldn't be doing as a parent. Secondly, wait time is horrible and I no longer want to deal with it. Indifferent staff, and some seriously condecending Doctors in the practice. Called for an emergency appointment to be told a doctor would call me back. Three hours later, I had found a new Pediatrician, made an appointment for the same day....and still had not receievd a call back from Pediatricare Associates. read more

Good doctors, but you add have to wait at least 1 hour to see anyone. Very disrespectful to their patients time. Again, good care, but it's not worth the extremely poor time management. Do yourself a favor and show up 1 hour late, then you'll only wait 30 minutes, ok, 40. read more

I'm new to NJ and this pediatric office came highly recommended by one of my relatives. I have a three month old and wasn't planning on visiting the office until the end of September; however, I had a problem with my baby and needed to see a doctor. I went online to request an appointment over the weekend. I received a call from a doctor (not an office staff member but an actual doctor!) 45 minutes later and then the practice manager emailed me later that day. My appointment was scheduled almost immediately. The doctor we saw was understanding and very knowledgeable. She was also easy to relate to and gave me great advice. Although I've only been to this office one time, I'm very happy so far. read more

My son was scheduled for an appointment (in Fair Lawn) and I was running late. I called the office and I was put on hold for 6 minutes then they hung up on me. I called back and again they put me on hold for 2 minutes. When the office picked up the phone finally I told them I was running a couple minutes late. The staff never told me to reschedule. I waited 2 months for this appointment so despite that I was severely sick with a terrible colon infection, I forced myself to drive 20 minutes to get there. Once I got there I explained the situation to the receptionist when I suspected she was attempting to cancel my appointment. I asked to speak to the office manager Linda and she was nasty and non appolgetic. She even insinuated I was liar. I would never recommend that place to anyone. It's a shame because ALL of the doctors are great, but they need to take the time out to teach their staff manners and compassion. I've been with them for 3 years and it saddens me to go. read more
