This is the best place to come for waxing - as someone who has been getting waxed for almost 10…read moreyears and have gone to a variety of places, it doesn't get better than this. Tracy is an expert and knows what she's doing and is meticulous, friendly, and will make you feel comfortable. I wouldn't really describe hair being pulled out of your nether regions pleasant, nor comfortable, but this is definitely the best experience I've had. I've been here twice and will definitely come back here again on every trip to London. Sugaring is less painful than the hot wax, and is less irritating to the skin and seems to result in less ingrown hairs. After the sugaring, Tracy goes back with a magnifier/light and tweezers to make sure she gets all the strays. You'll almost be wavering between "when is this going to be done?" and "I'm so glad she's so thorough!". You can make an appointment by calling on the phone - I wish they would take appointments online, but it's okay. Cash only (at least for now), which is a bit of a bummer since I try to go cashless and avoid ATM fees, but I bit the bullet and took cash out just to come here. Sugaring is £45 but worth every penny. 5 stars!

I needed a wax pronto, and after about 30min on google worked out that this place was both near to…read moreUni, and cheap. The website was a little intimidating, the background image is a buff mans back, and its main services offered are the 'back, crack and sack', and the boyzillian, both upwards of £50 a pop. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that this salon usually caters to Sohos Gay community... The bikini wax however was a very reasonable £12. I was muchos impressed with the service. (now I'm going to presume that slightly TMI is what you want from a waxing review right?!) they use hot sugar wax, which didn't seem to me to be as painfully hot, as hot wax normally is. The therapist was very professional rolling the funny sugar paste on and ripping it off again very neatly. It hurt like buggery of course, actually no, waxing hurts much more than buggery, as I'm sure most of this salons clients know. But I was left with no bruising or blood as can be the case with a bad wax. I was very impressed with how thorough the procedure was, there were tweezers, and I was even offered a going over with the razor "if I'd like". I declined... A week later its still good, and the lotion they sold me to stop in grown hairs appears to have worked a charm, but that could also just be the quality of the waxing. I have decided in the future that I am *never* going to go anywhere else. It was least stressful wax I've ever had in my life. I was telling The Man all about the experience later, needless to say he hadn't noticed that I'd gotton a wax at all.

Short story: do NOT go here, just DON'T DO IT. They will mess up your eyebrows, and then try to…read moreup-sell you into buying an upfront, prepaid package for them to fix their mess. Don't fall for it like I did. The full story: I have now been to the branch at 56 Neal Street, in Covent Garden twice, and am very disappointed in my experiences so far. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years. I have thick, Indian eyebrow hair, so it is not particularly tricky to figure out how to shape, nor am I a particularly demanding or picky customer - and generally I never, ever complain. My hair grows really quickly and I get my brows threaded every 3 weeks, so I'm usually a loyal and appreciative customer. During my first appointment, which was meant to just be a routine tidy up - I was made to feel that my "eyebrow problems" were my fault - i.e. my hair growth wasn't even, and that I would need a few more appointments to get things "fixed up". It's fine I thought, maybe it IS me - even though I've never had that comment before. I also got suckered into buying a 6 visit package for GBP75 for my threader to "fix my eyebrows". I regretted my decision as soon as I walked outside and took a closer look at my eyebrows. I left the salon with wayyy too much hair taken off the arch of my right eyebrow (think perma-surprised face level bad), and with a right eyebrow noticeably thinner than the left. Before my second appointment, I left 4 weeks of hair growth to give the threader a bit more hair to work with. This time (different threader), it was an even worse result. Patchy, uneven brows, and noticeable, random patches of hair mysteriously left untouched that are not in line with the brow shape. One of my friends described it as a "before" picture, that's how bad it was. My threader also spent a large part of the appointment tweezing, instead of threading. While I totally understand getting in to do individual hairs with a tweezer, this was more than that - she tweezed large patches of hair. The reality is, I don't pay for a threading appointment to get tweezing instead - I can do that myself at home! Hard sell tactics maybe? To ensure I come back soon with even more patchy and uneven hair growth?! So now I am GBP75 light and with crazy horrible eyebrows that I need to pay someone else to fix!

I stepped into this establishment on Saturday 26th September to be meet by the staff informing me…read moreof the treatments they provide (waxing/threading). In deciding to have threading done i was told about an eyebrow treatment they provide which, although hesitant decided to pay a deposit (£250) for the treatment that i would have done two months (November 28th) down the line due to availability. In thinking about it over the weekend and speaking with my family i decided against this treatment and called this morning (Monday 28th September at 09:35 am) to ask for a refund and was refused. I was informed that they do not offer refunds (where there was no notice on the walls or none of the staff were willing to keep this vital piece of information from their customers, i will never know). It makes me very angry that there are company's out there that operate in this manner. I have been told to call tomorrow and speak to manager regarding my complaint, which only prolongs this even further. I am posting this message here today so that no one else goes through this.
