I've given grace to this establishment however my patience has run out. A bit of background first... We knew we needed a replacement garage door because the door was rotting at the hinges. We had several companies provide estimates and ultimately decided to go with Lowell Overhead Door based on the initial meeting. Stephen Nelson of Lowell Overhead Door came out to our home in Amherst, NH and reviewed our options. He was very courteous, professional and prompt to respond during the process of purchasing the replacement door. We selected a Haas door. Stephen and Justin both came for the install of the door, rails and chain. Unfortunately most of the work was complete when we realized they were installing the wrong door. We decided to accept the door anyway and Stephen was nice to offer two maintenance visits for the mixup. We were grateful and impressed with his customer service. Once they left, that level of service disappeared. We have been trying since December to connect Lowell Overhead Door via text, email and their website because of performance issues with the door (intermittently reversing direction or not going down all the way, significant slack in the chain and the door striking the floor violently). We have received no response despite multiple attempts to make contact. With the spring coming, we want to use one of the maintenance visits we were told we would receive for their installation mixup. Again we've tried to reach out to no avail. So if you're looking for a company to install a garage door for you, you might want to skip Lowell Overhead Door if my experience represents how they treat customers after the sale and install.

When I questioned, they gave me two other lower cost options, one that didn't include the exterior keypad and one that didn't have a warranty. Even these seemed a bit high. When I called American Garage Door & Glass, they gave me a quick verbal quote over the phone that included the pad, wifi access and a warranty and was still less than the lowest price option from the other company. I got one more estimate that was in the same range but decided to go with AGD&G based on the reviews. It was easy to get on the schedule, they just showed up and the install took a little over an hour. The price was exactly as verbally quoted, no surprises whatsoever. The new garage door opener works great! It's quiet, easy to use and the wifi connectivity will come in very handy. Excellent experience. I would highly recommend.

Excellent service! Wouldn't go anywhere else…read more American Garage Door installed our Lift-Master openers 26 years ago. They have always provided excellent service any time I have needed parts or on-site service. Recently, one of the belts snapped. AGD did not have the belt in stock, but they redirected me to Lift-Master since the belts have a lifetime warranty if you are the original owner. Lift-Master did send me a new belt at no charge (only the belt). The standard procedure is to take the hardware off the old belt and use it on the new belt...but one of the old parts didn't fit the new belt. I reached out to American Garage Door again and they were able to provide a new part that fit. I also had an issue putting the protective cap back on the sprocket since the new belt seemed to be just a bit thicker than the old 26 year old belt. American Garage Door checked with their technician and called me back the next day as promised. Great service each and every time!
