(Barefoot did not install either door originally) This weekend my shop garage door would not close so I called Barefoot Garage to come take a look at it. Yes I have bills to, but I'm in business to stay in business, not to just replace door's that don't need replacing. Garage door's as well as commercial door's are like anything else we have, everything needs maintenance. Things like this needs cleaning,parts replaced from usage and it's also subject to weather. Wow, take a moment to absorb that. I was charged a service call and for a couple small part's, but he didn't charge labor,surcharge, and other charges on my other estimates from other companies. I hope he stays around a long time. I will never use anyone else. Honest was understatement. 2 other neighbors came over seeing him at my home and two more job's because of reasonable, trusting and great feeling of not being taken advantage of. Funny he was on vacation and took care of us on his Time with family but did all three of our door's in about 2.5 hour's. So get estimate if you want, but as we were talking only thing he can't get is huge discounts like bigger corporation do, but after seeing what he charges and others still better deal because if new door is needed he tries to lower cost of service call or gives credit to referrals. So because of other neighbors he didn't charge me for service call. I'm so happy with door now, opening and closing faster,smoothly, omg much more quiet. So if you want to throw money away and support corporate companies taking advantage and charging double what they pay for doors and surcharge ect..save yourself a headache and call this small business owner and support honest,hard working American knowing he's not trying to go out of business. You won't pay for anything you Don't need. Even takes time to show you why, or what your parts look like compared to new part, explains how and why they wear out. They are currently troubleshooting their website to determine why they never saw our emails requesting their assistance. They made good on their promise to perform maintenance for the install mixup and addressed our concerns completely. That's the kind of customer service that drew us to hire them initially and that's the type of service that will keep us coming back and recommending them to friends and family. I've given grace to this establishment however my patience has run out. A bit of background first... We knew we needed a replacement garage door because the door was rotting at the hinges. We had several companies provide estimates and ultimately decided to go with Lowell Overhead Door based on the initial meeting. Stephen Nelson of Lowell Overhead Door came out to our home in Amherst, NH and reviewed our options. He was very courteous, professional and prompt to respond during the process of purchasing the replacement door. We selected a Haas door. Stephen and Justin both came for the install of the door, rails and chain. Unfortunately most of the work was complete when we realized they were installing the wrong door. We decided to accept the door anyway and Stephen was nice to offer two maintenance visits for the mixup. We were grateful and impressed with his customer service. Once they left, that level of service disappeared. We have been trying since December to connect Lowell Overhead Door via text, email and their website because of performance issues with the door (intermittently reversing direction or not going down all the way, significant slack in the chain and the door striking the floor violently). We have received no response despite multiple attempts to make contact. With the spring coming, we want to use one of the maintenance visits we were told we would receive for their installation mixup. Again we've tried to reach out to no avail. So if you're looking for a company to install a garage door for you, you might want to skip Lowell Overhead Door if my experience represents how they treat customers after the sale and install.
