Not a lot, just designated parking on the shoulder of the road. The neighborhood was ok. There was a bank. Duplexes, and apartment buildings directly across from the park. It's right off of busy Cape Pkwy, behind a bank. The bonus is that the entire play area is fenced it with "childproof" closing mechanisms. Four Freedoms has an office building that you can rent out, preschool inside, fenced in playground, and a walkway to a beach area, which is only for sunbathers (and currently closed, per posted signage). The play area had artificial turf under the playgrounds and swings. It was nice and cushioned, but also very hot. There were two newer playgrounds for younger kids, an older playground for older kids, 2 accessible swings, 2 baby swings, a tire swing, and 4 normal swings. There were ample, newer, picnic tables, and 4 under a gazebo. There were many mature trees providing shade, but a majority of the swing sets and the larger, newer playground closest to the building remained exposed to the sun, and very hot (around 1:30pm in early August). It would be nice if they had those shade coverings like other Cape parks and elementary schools. There was an entry gate to the play area from each side of the park (north, west, and east). Then, there was a walkway to the sand beach (currently closed), but posted as a sunbathing beach only. Overall nice place and general "safe" feeling with the childproof fencing, and plenty of room for kids to run and jump within. The big con for me was the lack of shade directly over the play areas.

A few covered pavilions surround the tranquil lake but no fishing permitted. Today is cool out and the park is slammed with people exercising or playing with their children at the kiddie jungle gym. The paved parking is limited but they recently enhanced it by adding a gravel lot. Gender assigned public bathrooms available.

They've made some upgrades to the lighting along the walk/bike path and they do a good job of keeping it in good repair. There are a couple places that gets covered for small spans with dirt and debris in that low area when it rains heavily, but it's generally cleared away within a reasonable amount of time. The children's playground received a huge upgrade with the largest play area receiving a sun shade overhead. We enjoy seeing all the puppies, dogs and their people while we walk and some evenings, we're able to enjoy great sunsets.

This park continues to be well kept and clean. The landscaping is nice but you don't notice anything off. It's just well done. There is sufficient space for playing and it just a playground. They have big field areas for sports or just all out running with the kids. The playground(s) themselves are quite fun but lack a covering. Some sort of shade. Without it unfortunately somethings continue to be way too hot or get beat up by the sun. We went on a hot winter day and even then my daughter avoided some of the playground because of it being too hot. I was sweating just pushing them on the swings. Why is there no shade ? Also on one of the playground pieces, the kids just sit on top of it and I imagine some teens have also started carving words into it. I didn't see any profanity but still...it doesn't look good.
