An unethical act indeed. and then the worst - after we learned the home we bought was full of hidden defects - she refused to give us seller's contact details. Her office instructed me to hire someone to find seller and refused to help us. Her office was communicating with seller via email prior to sale. Furthermore, they mailed the deed somewhere? We are pursuing legal action against Notary Trott and eventually the seller. Very expensive price tag, for awful service, we are not clients; we are victims.

We called and left a message on Melanie Dube's answering machine. We didn't hear back the whole day so we decided to drop by the office to see if we could speak to someone to explain our situation. When we got there, we saw 3 people talking. We explained that we did not have an appointment, and that we were working with another notary but he was conducting himself extremely unprofessionally and we did not want to work with him anymore and we wanted to see if they could help us. Melanie Dube seemed extremely agitated at our question and said rather rudely that we cannot just "drop in". We tried to explain that we had called but had not gotten an answer and just dropped by to see if we could talk to someone. She looked at us frostily and said "I take at least 72 hours to respond to a phone call" and stormed away. Who takes 72 hours to respond to a phone call? And to just walk away? It was so unpolite and rude.
