Evidently, since I didn't destroy the carpet, they decided to keep it and get it cleaned instead and charged me $150.00. Make sure you get what they say in writing because they do not honor what they tell you verbally.

The apartments are 20 years old and not super modern and could use an upgrade, but are very liveable. The staff is excellent, but again, the rules for dogs, driving speeds in the parking lot, pool rules and several others are not being implemented consistently. Lots of smokers around the complex too, and not just tobacco!

The good is, it is a wonderfully clean, modern, well-maintained property. Nice appliances, new carpet, indoor pool and hot tub, community room. Ample parking. The down side is that they are located behind CostCo and there's only one way in, which is constantly congested by CostCo traffic. Also, the application process was expensive and unnecessarily complicated. They denied me because they called my previous apartment and the guy said we owed them money for the plumbing repairs. That's not their fault. But, they charged my debit card twice for the same application fee, well over $200. The leasing manager was very rude and unwilling to work with us, even though we make plenty of money and have stable employment and no criminal background whatsoever. Nice place if you can get in, good luck.

In the winter the lower level is at least 10 degrees colder than the upper level. The electric heat bills are way too high. It would be cheaper if gas was more in favour in this area to use to heat and cook with. The appliances are cheap as well. No front loading washers allowed. They do a fairly good job of snow removal in the winter, no complaints there.

We had ACS come to our home to give a quote for new garage doors. I explained that I wanted the…read morebrick mould around the garage doors replaced because they were dented. I showed him all of the dented areas and he assured me (3 different times throughout our visit) that the brick mould would be replaced. He told me that the mould would be the same color as the rubber seal that would be put in around the doors. He also told me that the brick mould would be included in the quote. I called ACS to voice my concerns and I was told that there was nothing that could be done and that their salesmen had so many years of experience that none of them would have told me that (the salesman that came to my house seemed very young). A short time after I called, a lady called me to see how I liked my new doors and when I explained my concerns to her, she said she wanted to talk to someone else in the office and get back to me. This call happened in May and I have yet to receive a call back from them. I love the look of the doors, but my dented brick mould was not replaced as I was told it would be, so now I have had to hire another company to replace the brick mould when I was originally told it was going to be included in my quote. I feel deceived by the salesman that first came to my house and ignored when no-one bothered to call me back.

We don't feel comfortable walking on grass even though it's required to pick up dog messes, there's still some that disregard. The townhomes themselves are your typical quick built, cheap material, new construction with your basic paper thin walls. You're going to hear your neighbors conversations if you don't have a t.v. on or something. Which in turn reiterates the fact you have no privacy. Maintenance is slow to get to requests sometimes, but are friendly. Snow removal is a joke. I've never seen anywhere take 4 hours to clean a lot and walks. Threats to have your vehicle towed are given on a regular basis if you don't have your car moved out of the way for half a day while they're plowing. I get it...lot needs to be cleaned, just hope you're never out of town when they move snow or do a lot resurface. Otherwise your expected to park a block away on the street. With all that said, it feels safe here. Nice area of town. Close to mall and restaurants. Prices are to high for what you get. In hind sight, we would have been happier in an apartment with lower rent. The lowest lease they do is 6 months, and you have to pay $100 more a month for a shorter lease. I recommend only moving here if you will live here for at least a year. They have a small gym with a couple treadmills, elliptical, and free weights. Community room is nice. They let you rent for free. It worked great for my kids birthday party. Overall, it's all about your personal preference.

I called Tri State Garage for a possible problem with my garage door needing to be adjusted because…read moreI found wear marks on the outside of the door. Very nice lady answered and set me up with an appt. The tech came out and I showed him the wear marks. I informed tech I just bought this house and I found these marks. The tech was friendly, knowledgeable and professional looking. The tech represented Tri State very well I thought. The tech showed me that the doors had worn some of the 2x4 framing inside the garage to the point that they do not rub anymore and everything was working fine but he checked the rollers anyways and said there was a slight adjustment he could do to the first wheel on the track. Since he was out here anyways, I had him lubricate the spring and all the joints.
