The facility is "state of the art" with all the equipment I have seen at other excellent physical therapy offices. The front desk staff were wonderful to work with, and could work with my scheduling needs. The therapists took time to listen, ask questions, and provide the best therapy for my needs. My husband had a hand problem and received excellent results. My sister had joint problems and finally found out she had "hyper mobility" which finally gave her understanding and could adapt, ending decades of pain. I received excellent care also. After my husband had a stroke in July '19 with subsequent rehab we entered therapy at peninsulaPT. My husband was responding pretty well he had Learned alot... IN REHAB IN TACOMA. Mid therapy with Mr Ghant we informed him my Husband has a pinched nerve in his back, with new MRI.HE HURT MY HUSBAND CLAIMED MRI NOT IN HIS FILE! ( performed day before and I speak English, I informed him!!!) My Husband had a stroke with the left side affected so his balance issues were there and he needed occupational therapy. I chose this therapy office because there is a physiotherapist there.... that never saw him. I asked for the physiotherapist and what we got was Robert Ghent. Irritating that when we would enter we would be interrupting his munching on food and gossiping amongst his fellow therapists. He makes a healing situation really awkward. He would fasten my husband's left arm and left leg to a bike and make him go around and around. No occupational therapy was even attempted. After our last appointment there Mr Ghent pulled me aside and told me that he felt that my husband was embellishing. I took my husband to his primary care doctor immediately he made referral for seven different types of therapies for my husband and pulled him from the neglect. Also when we told Mr Ghent that my husband had a pinched nerve in his back he didn't believe him and he caused injury to his lower back ...we're trying to get my husband back from a stroke not cause more injuries!!. I hope that they know that they are not creating a healing environment. Mr. Ghant went on and on and on about his unhappiness and his boss's inability to perform something! WHAT??? I don't know exactly what that thing is, but he did go on and on and on about it. I needed physical therapy so I joined in, and both of us were seen at the same time so I got to see the display on the floor of their so-called therapy. Upon making the appointment and entering the facility there is animosity within the space. If you seek healing and true therapies besides somebody just putting 8 minutes on the clock please go anywhere else. With stroke, time is essential and he wasted 6 weeks of our time. Just for the record my husband was not embellishing he had a heartbeat of 32 he needed a pacemaker. THEY NEVER TOOK A BP OR HEART RATE...NEVER! HUBBY Still has a pinched nerve in his back that is very painful. We enjoy our therapy now with Providence Hubby has more use of left side. Occupational therapy has him lifting with left arm. What a difference TRUE CARE MAKES RUN TO ANOTHER! I believe MARK DUTTON IS NEGLIGENT. At one point I offered to go into the office to try to solve their interoffice conflict. I made an appointment to do so ,and bring my husband, however, it would have been very stressful on my stroke victim and I am under no obligation to make sure that their office operates. I have been going to therapy for almost a year, twice a week for a frozen shoulder. Never knew what a frozen shoulder was but now I can say, it is the worst. Omg so painful. I have been seeing Alyson Dutton for almost a year now, for a neurological condition.  She has always shown me the best and most thoughtful care possible.  Every session I leave feeling better than when I arrived.  She is very professional and her approach is methodical.  She is a holistic practitioner, meaning she takes all of what you have going on into account and formulates the best possible treatment.  Prior to seeing her, I saw Bob Ghent briefly.  Bob was also very thoughtful in his approach.  He was very inquisitive about what was ailing me and determined through his inquiry that Alyson would be the best match for what I had going on.  That is true professionalism!  Putting the patient first is what they do best.  I have also been treated very professionally by the office staff.  Calling me with appointment reminders and helping me get setup on a payment plan, as well as setting future appointments.  Because of my condition I have experienced many physical therapy offices throughout the years, I can tell you from experience that the therapists at Peninsula Physical Therapy know what they are doing and they do it with your best interest at heart. read more
