After 4 calls over 2 weeks to get "approval" for my prescription (which I didn't need) for the exact same prescription I've had for 6 years - they fraudulently told me I had to make an appt to come and see the dr! After 2 hours of driving and half a day off, when I got there, the nurse told me ... I'm so sorry, you didn't have to come. It was their mistake!! They changed to a call center - all the calls to their office are now answered in some other state (Illinois I think). Then 2 weeks later, my insurance company was billed $1002 and I was billed $222! All calls and, emails and messages (and a personal message directly to my doctor) to delete this bill have been met with the worst patient service in my 65 years. Adjusting meds need to be done slowly with a consistent dr appts to checkup on your mental state. Patients need to be in group session one like NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illnesses). campner has resources for people but doesn't recommend outside help. Patient has to identify their trigger and find coping mechanisms. Group meetings with others who struggle with mental illness help guide and support you. First time meeting her for an appointment she cut 2 of my medications significantly. Without considering the physical and mental effects. She suggested I was, and I quote, "psychologically dependent" and that's why she was cutting my meds. When I contested her, she said she didn't have to write me an rx at all. It came across as power control. My meds were being held for ransom. When it comes to mental health, it's essential you have a competent psychologist...and it's the patient's responsibility to be proactive also.
