If anyone notices there are $$ signs, which tell you to expect to pay more. I have no complaints as I have gotten good quilts for $25 or less, the real kind a few handmade not the store-bought variety. Staff is always courteous and helpful. The items I do purchase I find to be of good quality and long lasting. I recommend! read more

Very well organized store with a lot of nice items. The day we went, everything was 50% off. They have clothing, jewelry, purses, household items, shoes and much more. Have you ever walked into a building and immediately felt like there was something off? That is exactly how I felt stepping into this thrift store, which was truly an unnerving experience. I don't even know where to begin - but the first and most serious offense were the outrageous prices for some of the items. Sure, there may have been 1 or 2 gems in here, but a majority of the items were severely outdated and no - not in a cute ~ vintage ~ way. There were some "Designer" items here that were over $150! You could go to any other vintage/consignment store or even a regular thrift store and find a better selection. Secondly, they have some daily sales which can bring down some of their unreasonable prices, however, the markdowns just show how ridiculous the original prices are. To add assault to injury, they also play bizarre music here that sounds like the free sound bytes you can add as background music to YouTube videos. I am only giving this place two stars as the volunteers here seemed very attentive and willing to help. read more

I just love this heavenly haven of thrift! I do not get up to Plano often but I always try to stop here when I do. I friend of mine had a death in the family and needed to donate some items. Pennies' managers were so sweet and accepted all the items that I donated for my grieving friend. It meant so much to us that we were able to easily unload the reminders of a loved-one who recently passed. We also felt great knowing that the proceeds were going to a good cause. Of course I shopped while I was there and found many deals on clothes, jewelry and housewares. I even found four mod prints for my wall! Endless merchandise to browse, but..... Not all high end items, but all high priced. I've given this place a try a couple times now and every time I leave remembering how outrageous their cheapest quality items are priced. You'll find an ornamental wall price the weight of a feather made of that styrofoam type material and it's $15. A shiny 2in broken piece of... maybe a belt? Maybe off earrings? $8. If you got the money or aren't trying to spend anything just lookin around- have fun, but really you could buy much more for your dollar at actual Antique shops and that's saying something. read more

The wife and I went there the other night, always on the search for something cool or collectible. Though they did have some of the things we were interested in, the prices were a bit on the high side. They had a collectible piece of pink depression glass, and they wanted full on retail for it. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying up when necessary, but this is a resale shop. Many of the clothes there were very much dated, but would be a good place to get some vintage wear. On the flip side, my wife got a decent pair of gently worn summer shoes at a good price. Apparently, they have recently reorganized, but space is indeed at a premium in this tiny little shop. The proceeds go to help inner city kids at risk, and that's a great thing. read more

Hands down the most expensive, overpriced thrift store I have ever been to. And I've been to a lot. I have serious doubts on the other reviews talking about the "great prices", unless they are some monarch named "So and So The Great" because they are the only ones that can afford this place. The have a Marlboro jacket for $60, a pair of jeans with a hole in the crotch for $20. It's not so much the designer apparel that is pricey, because we can all get behind that. It's the mundane and regular stuff that can be really high. I could also get behind the store if it was more of a boutique, but it's not. Plus, Pennies For Heaven has another location in Red Oak that has Salvation Army prices. And they do have sales all the time, but it seems like they have the prices so high that when they do 50% off it seems like you are still paying current retail prices. Pros: Does get plenty of designer apparel, organized and clean, always great parking. Cons: prices so high you might as well go to Jacks Retro or better yet Genesis off of Lemmon. Small selection, mostly clothes. Don't expect to find an underpriced gem. read more

I love this place! There are so many great finds here. All the clothing is gently used and in great condition. The people are always so nice and helpful as well. This is one of my favorite places to shop they have a great selection of high end items. Always a good experience! read more

I have always looked for a store like this. It's amazing and it's stoked with very unique items. If you like to be unique and different, this is where you can come to pick up a couple of things. The pricing is 50/50. It's a little heaven if you like your space designed with a collection of unique antique and classy pieces. I like: the owner is so nice .. the accessories collection is very good.. the shoes are cheap. I do not like: the store has a limited stuff ( especially kitchen utilities) but if you search you may find something good. And it is alittle pricey compared to other thrift stores. read more

I absolutely love shopping at Pennies For Heaven!! Only reason I delayed writing this review is because I don't like to share my beautiful secret finds with anyone. However, I saw some of the other reviews and couldn't understand why they'd give this awesome goodie store anything less than a 5 star rating. Every time I drive up from Uptown Dallas I leave with bags full of new treasures. Designer galore, vintage, rare and really cool stuff in general at incredible prices. Most of the time they run specials and that makes it even better! I love the customer service I receive and have nothing but good things to say about my entire experience at Pennies. Please do remember all the money from your purchases goes directly to helping those less fortunate. Shout out to the staff, you guys are the best! I had the opportunity to wander into this store on a random rainy day recently. I stumbled upon one of the best resale shops in Dallas. I have been an avid thrift store shopper all my life, frequenting them in almost every city I visit. I love finding those hidden treasures that tell a story, practical items that are practically new, and unique stylish pieces I would never find anywhere else. This store had a balanced combination of all of these, and it was clean and well organized and easy to browse through (unlike a lot of other resale shops). The people there were so friendly, and I love the idea that the money I spend there goes towards a good cause.
