There are so many cool, quirky, vintage items scattered throughout the store. And the space is so large and full of rooms that house cool items. It's definitely not a place that you could finish scouring in one hour... but definitely a place you probably have to come back to to find something new each time! I particularly liked being able to shop in peace. I didn't feel like workers were eye-ing me the entire time, and I was able to just enjoy looking through each of the items. I got a cool pair of airplane earrings for $1, while my friend bought a cute, electronic dancing boxing hamster for $4. There is definitely something within a reasonable price range for everybody.

The downside is that so many vendors leave early, sometimes by 10:30-11am, and then half of the field is empty. The owners should be firm with their vendors about the hours because many buyers come after church or lunch and are disapointed that the field has cleared. All in all it is a great way to spend a Sunday morning and afternoon!

But if you're looking for quality vintage and antique goods, this is the place. Parking is a bit tight, but doable. Prices are usually reasonable for the rarity and quality of the items. Most of the vendors are knowledgeable so they know what they have, but treasures can be found. If you're a vendor, the crowd is fairly knowledgeable as well, so they aren't afraid to spend money for quality vintage.

There was just something about the flea markets that I didn't like, because we went to all of them, the name "flea" always bothered me - nobody else shopped there that we knew - I'm not sure if it was a secret or not - but I never muttered a word about it. I'm enjoying walking the aisles today - buying a few nick knacks and paddy wacks along the way. I've looked this up and learned that the biggest flea market is in Texas, no surprise there I suppose -- and there's one in Silicone Valley but these would likely take days and weeks to explore. So, not looking for anything in particular, I'm browsing the smaller markets - the big one in Brunswick isn't worth the time in my opinion. With roughly 30 vendors, this Riverside flea market is just the right size - sweet older people peddling their wares with a joke and a smile - always engaging and with the spunk of youthfulness. I don't want the "pot of gold - honey hole - diamond(s) in the rough - special edition - 1st edition - authentic " eBay reseller finds - for me, it's typically about shopping what brings me joy and, oddly enough, those are nostalgic items from my youth. We visited on a Saturday and it was packed! I had never seen it so busy (and with a lot of young people). I wanted to update this review because 10months ago I posted a photo of these crescent candlewick side dishes for $45 each.... Fast forward to yesterday and I offered $25 a plate. My offer was accepted! For anyone curious, they are a candlewick side place and semi rare. As a candlewick collection I was excited to take them home. Whenever you see something you like at these antique stores - particularly those with vendor booths - don't be afraid to make an offer. Most of the time they will accept!
