This university has very well designed sports center and facilities, hence is known for sports events and often hosting or rented out to other sports facilitators. However, the students are not kind at all. I went to SFU for the 2023 fall semester and half of the 2024 Spring semester (I had to leave due to personal reasons). If you aren't overly religious, super conservative, a part of athletics (not esports, though, because you will get harassed for being on the esports team), or a part of Greek life, you will be treated horribly by most of the student body. I am 23 years old with a son, and many people thought I was trash for being at the university--especially two girls who were the president of the Pro-life club on campus.

There are plenty of fun and free activities for kids of all ages including passing, catching, running obstacle courses. Past football greats are available for pictures and autographs. Always a fun time meeting Steelers greats! The volunteer staff is always friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. I love the "behind the scenes" look at the future team's talent. You really get to see all the hard work that goes into the games on Sundays. After practice the kids and adults to gather around the practice fields to get a glimpse of the players up close and if you're lucky enough you may get a few autographs to make your experience that much better! It's also cool to interact with fellow Steelers fans that visit from all over the world, it's unbelievable the passion of Steelers Nation! My mother sent three kids through college and was spoiled by me being first and going to JC. She had so much trouble with the other schools when it came to financial issues and sorting out parental matters. As for the academics, I learned from some of the most enthusiastic professors. If I have one complaint it's that the IT program didn't explode until after I graduated so I missed out on some amazing learning experiences. The town is a bit small and not for the easily bored - I on the other hand and no city girl and was perfectly happy in town. The college has some great traditions and you always feel like you're a part of the family - both while you're there and when you leave! If you're in the market for a school, JC is well worth a look!

Also, it is DIFFICULT to fail here. The professors and advising teams do EVERYTHING in their power to help you succeed, it is just whether or not YOU let them help you, or YOU go to them when you're struggling. The campus has a family-like atmosphere, and everywhere you go doors are held for you. Unlike larger campuses, you see the President walking around and interacting with students every day he is on campus. This campus gave me a family that saved my life, and kept me from ruining it by dropping out. While it is a small campus, and it does have its "small-town" quirks, I don't think I could have made a better choice than the one I did when deciding to come here! I spent 4 years going up and down hills every day here in Morgantown. If you're looking for a great workout in between classes, you've come to the right spot. WVU offers a wide variety of career options, from Forensic Science, to Zoology, to Economics and Communications. They have an amazing campus that caters to all interests. I personally started out as a Forensic Science pre-major, switched over to Psychology, and eventually double-majored in Sociology. It can be done! I always told my friends that it seems very easy to get into WVU, but hard to stay in. It is a very large school (serving over 30,000 students), and has been known to be a huge "party school." I could write an insanely large review, but won't because it's not about me reminiscing, it's about me sharing what I loved about this university. WVU offers great study abroad programs, professors who are invested in student's success, and a gorgeous campus in the hills of West Virginia. The town itself has expanded to accommodate the large amount people. Is it a random place to go to school? For some, absolutely. But I have no regrets. I'm a Mountaineer for life.
