Three little pigs. Turns out everything in Perth is served with cheese curds, so that's a bonus.

Visited for Sunday breakfast, had the three little pigs. Where I come from, some might call it a "mess"- a generous portion of everything in the kitchen scrambled together, topped with gravy and a fried egg. Really good food, very filling. Friendly staff in a down-home atmosphere, what else do you need?

Penny's Place is now a stalwart destination for us whenever we travel between our home in the Thousand Islands and the Ottawa Valley. We actually make excuses to go "through Perth" so we can eat breakfast at this Jewel of the Ottawa Valley! As always the staff (I would prefer to call them friends at this point) are as professional and amazing as all get out and the chef/owner was rocking it (literally and figuratively) rocking it in the kitchen. That a single person can put out at that pace and it be that consistently delicious is a feat in itself. If you have not discovered Penny's place yet please do yourself a favour and get over there now! See you next trip friends!

Hands down the best breakfast anywhere! They know how to poach an egg the way you want it (have never gotten it wrong). I'm told the sausages and potatoes are great. I don't eat either but the avocado and grilled tomoatoes I get as a substitute are amazing (and I usually don't like grilled tomatoe). The serving of avocado is huge and I have lots to share.

Amazing Benny!!! We tried two kinds and split them up, including home-fries and hash-browns. BBM & Brooklyn Benny. You choose! Both awesome

Convenient place to stop if you are driving along highway 7. Lots of parking. Delicious egg sandwich Very good home fries. Hash browns looked great too. Coffee was decent. Friendly and fast service. Would definitely return. Oops - the tomato fell out of my sandwich :)

Good breakfast spot in Perth. Reasonable prices and plenty of food. If your hungry come here. It's a small place that fits around 40 people with and older but nice look. And the coffee actually tastes good! There is a huge parking lot so if you have a truck or a trailer hooked up you have plenty of room to move around.

Stopped by here, for lunch while riding across the trans Canada, it looked like a quaint diner, the type of place to get a decent meal. The meal was decent indeed, and a very hearty sandwich, but all it was, was a sandwich, no side. Still for less than 10$ you cannot complain too much. The reason this is a three and not four star review is actually the language to describe the meal vs what I was delivered. I still did enjoy it, but did not receive what I anticipated. Ordered the 'philly cheese brisket' sandwich. And being a BBQ guy was expecting a beef brisket type sandwich. Needless to say I was surprised when my plate arrived and it was corned beef brisket. Had I known this is what I was to expect, I may have ordered something different, or I may have ordered it still, but I would have known what to expect. It was smothered with sauteed vegetables, and covered in cheese, served up on a nice fresh bun, it definitely did hit the spot, just not what I thought I was going to get. Anyhow, if you are hungry, and passing through Perth, check this place out, decent portions and decent prices.

Michael's Table - Grilled Chicken Sandwich With Sweet Potato Fries

We had come here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, as we were heading to Ottawa, and wanted to…read morecheck-out Perth on the way. When we walked into this restaurant, we were surprised to see how nicely decorated it was. The decor was chic, as well as being inviting and warm. The restaurant itself was more on the small side however, it was a good fit for the number of customers at the time. Since it was a nice day outside, we decided to eat on the patio. The patio faced the street, and was nicely enclosed with flower pots decorating the edges. Once we had settled down and chose our items, we waited about 15-20 minutes, which we found to be a bit too long. As we were about to ask the waitress where our meals were, we were brought our items. I had settled on the chicken focaccia sandwich with sweet potato fries; the chicken in my sandwich was dry, with only a small amount of garlic spread inside of the bun. I did enjoy the sweet potato fries though, as did my daughter, whom took nibbles of the fries from my plate. My daughter had gotten the pasta with red sauce, which looked like chunks of tomatoes mashed up, and spread on the top of the dish. The taste was also inadequate, as my daughter hardly ate it. My mother settled on the fish tacos, which were heavily battered. My son chose the hamburger, which he enjoyed, especially with the fries on the side. We weren't too keen on the food, as many of the food items were subpar, and the prices were high. Luckily, the children ate free, as the restaurant had a deal that all children ate free on Sunday. We found that to be a plus however, the price was still high despite the removal of two children's meals. Overall, this restaurant had a nice ambiance however, the food wasn't worth the price, and we didn't find the service to be accommodating. Despite asking about recommendations for the area, the waitress told us that she wasn't aware of what was available, and to just walk up and down the main road. We were hoping for more of a recommendation however, we didn't receive it. We definitely wouldn't return to this restaurant in the future if we were in the area again .

Our group of 8 was participating in the Kilt Run event and booked a table weeks before the event…read more We got a call the day before to demand that everyone had to be there on time or we would lose the table. After the race started, two of the group who were not running went to the restaurant to confirm that we were all still coming but some would be a few minutes late as they could not finish the race in time and the manager was not happy with that. I got a call during my race from one of our group to say don't waste time getting changed after the race as they were not letting any of our party be let in and seated until most of our party was there. So we all arrived sweaty and uncomfortable to sit down to dinner. I called the owner/manager over to complain about the way we were treated and she said that in past years (before covid) at race events, there had been lineups waiting to get in. Last night there were no lineups and there were several empty tables during our time there. She finished by saying I'm sorry you feel that way and left.

Perth was my stretching point on a recent road trip heading home from Ottawa. After being out and…read moreabout for two hours, I decided to pull over at this Wendy's. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I pulled into an available one and walked into the eatery. There is a drive-thru. It was doing steady business at around 2 pm on a Sunday. I used the women's washroom. It was decent and maintained nicely. I always feel guilty using the washroom without buying a thing. I felt like a Frosty. I lined up to get a small chocolate one. This Wendy's has a hometown feel. The woman at the counter was super nice, remembering locals by their first names, and being equally warm to visitors like me. I paid with a debit card. A small Frosty is $1 all summer long. I thanked her and headed to my car with my treat. My favourite Frosty in Vaughan gives you a lid, a spoon, and a straw for your Frosty. I never use the straw. This place gives you a spoon only. I kind of dig the simplicity. My Frosty hit the spot. I sat in my car and consumed it. It was creamy and satisfied my frozen treat craving. I then drove away and continued heading westbound. This Wendy's was the perfect stop to take a break and grab a small Frosty on a hot day. (252)
