They are very knowledgeable about the area and always had a smile on their face. The room itself was very clean. I stayed on the second floor (which is the third floor to Americans) in a room with 4 beds. Inside the room there was a sink and lockers. With the lockers and a key card to get into the room, I felt pretty secure and my belongings were pretty secure. The toilets and showers are on the same floor. The shower area also had a bank of hair dryers- which was convenient. They had a big area to lounge around, a bar/restaurant area, and a laundry/kitchen area. Washers and dryers are available for a small fee. They only have two of each, so you have get to them early. They'll give you a map upon check-in which gives some suggestions on walking trails. The location is just a short walk into town. The area was very safe and quiet. I thought this was a very nice hostel to stay at and highly recommend YOHO to anyone staying in Salzburg. Very affordable also- especially if you book in advance online.

The services provided at the front desk include: a bar, coffee, tea, food and snacks. The prices aren't to terrible either. The WiFi is fantastic, and it seems to be throughout the entire facility, not just in the common areas. A huge benefit is A&O's proximity to the train station. It's a short and easy walk to get to the front desk. I highly recommend staying here.

I am now pretty sure they are owned by the same group as Meininger Hotels, which explains why I'm not a fan. The place is nice because it is close to the train station, but the old town of Salzburg (where most people visiting spend their time) is at least a 30 minute walk, so once you are out for the day you aren't gonna be able to just pop back for a second. The rooms themselves are fine. There are no curtains around the beds, which I didn't love. It was also SO hot in the room and there wasn't any kind of fan or air circulation. They did have a communal kitchen, which was nice! Overall, I wouldn't come back just because of the cold and sterile vibe of the place, but it is cheap, so really to each their own.

This hotel is a fairly large ski lodge tucked away in the forest. It is very clean and spacious. They offer an amazing breakfast with your stay!
