When we returned the truck I noticed on my bill that they had charged me 10 dollars for 2 gallons of gas. I asked what the charge was for. The man behind the counter said that he said it was at 7/8 but would need to be 15/16 when returned. I told him to give me the keys and I'd go put in another gallon of gas but I didn't want to pay 10.00 for 2 gallons of gas that I didn't even use. I asked to speak to the manager. He checked the gas tank and of course it was slightly above 7/8, but said the contract stated it needed to be at 15/16. I said we went a total of 12 miles and you are telling me that would be 3 1/2 gallons of gas. I hate being cheated. Obviously this particular uhaul franchise wants customers to pay for gas they don't even use to help their own pockets. I would never recommend them to anyone in the Maricopa vicinity.

We have rented multiple U-hauls in the past from various locations. It's our go to for truck…read morerentals. I'm saddened to express that this location is less than par, in our humble opinion. We have used them 2 times now. The first time, the truck broke down twice in the same day. We didn't hold this against the location, as U-Haul provides the trucks. Although, the bill was incorrect which could have been prevented. We needed a truck a few weeks later...decided to return to this location, for convenience. The bill was incorrect again, a matter of the employee entering incorrect information. Due to info being incorrect it was very difficult getting a refund for wrongful charges. If you decide to use this location for U-Haul rental, my advice to you would be triple check all the info is entered correctly on the bill ie; your address, mileage, rental time-frame and correct insurance option...etc before driving the truck. Unfortunately, we will be renting from a different location next time.

We were able to book online which was so easy and make the process super quick when we arrived to pick it up. We got a call from Chad who let us know that we were confirmed and when to arrive to grab the unit. When we got there Chad walked us through the entire process and how to set it up once we got to our destination. Everything was great we had a great time it was so spacious and the AC worked great. They hooked us up with an RV that had the things we needed along with a generator in case we stayed somewhere with no electricity we traveled to San Diego and up the coast. The RV was clean and stocked with everything we could need. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend you try it. When we returned the RV Chad made it so easy, and helped us get it all checked in! They also rent UTVs and we can't wait to come back and give them a try they were super affordable compared to the Cruise America RV rentals that wanted to charged us triple the cost that Apache Canyon Rentals charged. And the deposit was half the cost and the fees were supper affordable! We love Apache Canyon Rentals!

When I arrived, I was told the dolly was unavailable despite it being included in my reservation. I understand inventory issues happen, but moving heavy items without equipment you planned and paid for creates a major inconvenience. What made this especially frustrating was how dismissive the response felt. If the reserved equipment was unavailable, the least the staff could have done was help locate another nearby U-Haul location where we could have gotten one instead of simply sending us on our way without a solution. What added to the frustration was the disconnect between the advertised pricing and the actual cost once mileage and other charges were added. The initial compensation offered for the inconvenience was $9, which honestly felt dismissive and inadequate given the situation. After further communication, the General Manager did increase it to $25, and I do appreciate that he remained professional and responsive throughout the process. Overall, I left feeling like customer expectations are set one way online, while the reality at pickup can be very different. Not the worst experience I've ever had, but definitely not one I'd enthusiastically recommend either.
