I called our home warranty company on Tuesday morning and they referred a plumber to us, but he couldn't make it until Thursday. When he came out, he was unable to unclog the line. He told me not to worry and to call the city to come out and check the lines. They did and said their lines were clear. Again, he told me not to worry, he was going to do whatever he could to help us out, and he would call me back after talking to our home warranty company. Our home warranty company denied the next step, but he said he would work with us to take care of our problem. He had a machine that was more heavy duty, and he would call me at 4:00 Thursday afternoon to set up a time for Friday. No phone call. I called him 3 times on Friday and left messages. Still no phone call. I was told by my home warranty company that I had to go look for a plumber on my own. I looked up on Yelp, put out requests, and Van Dyck was the only company that actually called me and wanted to talk to me. The other companies just wanted me to schedule an appointment. A year ago Van Dyck techs installed a water filter system for our church. At that time, I was very…read moresatisfied with work but it was pricey. Almost one year later we had a flood in the hallway with water coming from the filter system that Van Dyck installed. The filter system had fell off the wall due to the system was screwed into the wall with no anchors, just inch and a half screws in the sheet rock. The weight of the filter system caused the filter caps to Crack flooding the mechanical room, entryway and hallway. Van Dyke came out and replaced system and charged the church 580.00. I called and spoke to someone named Derrick and told him this was shoddy work and that the church should should not have pay. He said he would investigate. I received an invoice and was told it had to be paid now. Call a second time and still waiting to hear from Derrick. If they can treat a church this way, I know others can expect the same treatment. We have an maintenance agreement with Van Dyke but we will not be using them again. LG

Last week our sewer line started to back up into our house, we called our home warranty service and they sent a plumbing service out 2 days later. He came and worked on trying to clear and after maybe 15 minutes he told us he couldn't clear it. He told us that it was probably in the city line and to call their emergency line. We called them and about an hour later they showed up and looked at our line and then left and came back about an hour later and told us that their line is clear and it was in our line. The plumber told us to call him back if the city couldn't fix it, because he had a bigger machine that he could use to clear it, but it was on a different truck in Stillwater and would call back later in the evening and arrange to come back Friday sometime. He told us not to worry and that he was going to take care of us and he would get it cleared out. Unfortunately he never called back and we tried numerous times to contact him on Friday and he never returned our calls. So, we were stuck over the weekend with a clogged sewer line. Monday morning we called our home warranty place back and they denied to cover anymore work on it and they told us that we have to find a plumber on our own and pay for it ourself. We called several plumbing services and left messages for them to call us back and Van Dyck Mechanical was the only one to call us back. But I had major plumbing work (reroute) done and not long after the faucet at the master bathroom vanity put out hot water when turning on the cold tap. I had Danny (owner) come out and replace a 2-way valve with a 3-way in the guest shower. At that time I asked why the hot water took so long to get hot in that shower and he stated it had to do with the interchanger or something to that effect. I am NOT a plumber. Now, it takes a good while for the cold water to get cold in both bathrooms and now at the kitchen sink. I contacted Danny on 052926 and advised about the hot water issue and he stated it was not right, that he would be out that following Monday, 060126. Didn't happen. Have called, with no answer. Left vm with no response. Texted with no response and asked a mutual friend to give him a shout. Still no response. The reroute cost me thousands. This is NOT professional. Shouldn't have to hire another plumber to get this addressed & fixed. Serously considering filing a formal complaint with the authorities.
