What an awful experience tonight! Lines horribly long for food and drinks and then, after waiting in lines, out of food (pizza, hot dogs, etc.. ). The response from the staff...'you can go down to the next station'...really??? After we just waited in line for 15 minutes??? That's your answer??? Wrong answer!!! And, we got to listen to the staff complain, to the customers, no less, that they hadn't gotten a break!! Again...just WRONG! Get. Your. Act. Together. Chiefs! For what it costs to go to a game, the food/drink costs, the filthy bathrooms and food areas, and the overall frustration, we'll find other activities! PS...the only reason for the 1 star rating is because ZERO isn't an option! read more

It's been years since we poked our head in here..perfect time to leave a review! We like to venture out to the minor league stadiums and came here a couple yrs ago. Tickets were easily accessible and cheap at the box office window. I don't remember a parking garage in sight so we parked on a nearby street. One word of caution, we watched several foul balls soar over the right field roof onto the street. There's parking out there which I wouldn't recommend using for obvious reasons. We parked a couple streets away for free, and the are was safe. The inside of the park is nice. They have a nice gift shop chalked full of Chiefs gear and a cool bronze statue of an announcer coming in from the main entrance. A nearby wall had a Hall of Fame including players once with the Chiefs and another for Bradley alum. Food & drink vendors are abundant and prices were better than our local minor league team. The concourse walkway takes you almost 360 degree's around the park, with only a small area in dead center that isn't accessible (so you can't walk entirely around). The left-field area had children's blow-up houses and games, and a pitching speed cage was near the 3rd base concourse. Another neat thing about this stadium is the fencing found on the first and third base lines bordering the stadium. Fans can watch from the outside free of charge. The ambiance of the park was very nice with downtown Peoria sitting in the distance. Seating was close and personable and we really enjoyed the game we saw. If Peoria were closer we'd probably come to more games. Cheers. read more

We held are rehearsal dinner here! They have amazing food and it is very reasonably priced! They even let us play wiffle ball on the field! Hands down THE BEST LOCATION FOR A REHEARSAL DINNER IN PEORIA! read more

Perks include a lot of seating to choose from and 360 degree access to walk around the entire field. Regular seats, upper level boxes, lawn seating and an outfield table area offer several ways to see the game. Beyond the outfield is a children's bounce house area with other activities for the little guys. About the only setback here are the concessions. Many stands were 'closed' on a Saturday night and many food items weren't available at the stands that were open. Or as one attendant told me..'we ain't got none'..when I asked for a pretzel. Uh, okay. There are very few food and drink choices even when attendance is at its highest. That aside, parking right next to the field is a nice perk and some of the nearby streets have opened new restaurants.

Lots of grass space and the last time we were here, there were a couple of families with dogs, so this looks like a dog friendly park (or at least the grassy part). There isn't a bad seat in the house and everyone seems pretty friendly. Plenty of promos during the game and lots of firework nights. I haven't had a chance to try the food, but people around me have, and it seems to be typical baseball stadium fare.

The team is quite good at home, too, boasting a 271-85 record between 1982 and 2007. If you can only go to one of the games, go to either the Illinois State game (the rivalry between those two schools is called the "War On 74"), any of the non-conference games against the top teams, or any post-season NIT or CBI games. Michigan State came this past year, and people were standing on their feet for most of the game, making a ton of noise. Even though we still lost (66-61), it was still fun. Butler (a top 25 team) is coming to Carver in the 2008-2009 season since we played there last year, and it should be loud during that game, too! Of course, the CBI games this year and the NIT games last year had very energized crowds. The only thing that makes this a 4-star and not a 5-star entertainment option are the crowd-quieting promotions that occur during the timeouts. Seriously, we don't need to see two people in the upper bowl get escorted to courtside seats, or see someone answering a trivia question for a $15 dry cleaning certificate during EVERY GAME. Granted, there have been worse promotions (including the Par-A-Dice dice throwing promotion, where people threw six big oversized dice on the court for a chance spell "B-R-A-V-E-S" and win prizes) and the basketball-related promotions are decent, but most of them are only there so Bradley can charge less money for the seats. The only promotion that actually got the crowd active was the longball competition, and that occurred during most of the women's basketball games and only one of the men's basketball games. P.S. I marked this under "Professional Sports Teams" because there is no option for "College/University Sports Teams".

Go take a walk across the stone bridge. The park also has a mini golf course and softball fields among other things. Also check out a preserved steam locomotive. There's also a pavilion for those wanting to have a picnic. Has lots of activities throughout the year including festivals and fireworks. It's located east of Morris Avenue and south of Wood Street. Review Visit: June 13th, 2016…read more A perfect combination of fun and delicious. I have, admittedly, been here many times before June 13th. But that is neither here nor there. The only thing you need to know is that this place has cheap mini golf and some of the best ice cream around. The mini golf portion is about $5.50 a person, young ones being cheaper. The course is your typical 18 holes. But this course is quite challenging and I have only sunk a few Hole-in-Ones here. There is a sweet deep blue fountain/waterfall that runs through most of the park. My ball has gone in the water more times than I care to admit. The challenging but fun course aside, the real gem here is their ice cream. Imported all the way from Madison, Wisconsin, this is some of the best that I have. It easily is in my Top 3. My usual is a Caramel ChocoLatte. Sooooo good. The company they get it from is called Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream and I really want to visit Madison, Wisconsin one day to have ice cream directly from them. All in all, a great place to spend an afternoon putting balls and devouring ice cream. This is actually one of the few places on my blog that falls into two categories. Mini Golf and Ice Cream Shack, since you can pop in and enjoy ice cream without ever stepping on the green.
