Review Visit: July 26th, 2016 A mountain of shenanigans has been had here. Disclaimer; I've been to Mt. Hawley to play mini-golf quite a few times. It's one of the casual things I like to do to spend an afternoon hanging with my friends. Plus, who doesn't have fun playing mini-golf? Especially if your friends are in to shenanigans. Matt, Tim, and I came here in late 2011. This was the year before I started to travel as my main hobby. When we came here, we had intentions of just playing mini-golf and that was in... but once we go inside, we knew we were going to stick around for some shenanigans. Before we even paid for our clubs and ball, we got distracted by the little arcade they had set up inside. We probably spent more time than we expected playing the games and winning those cheap candy prizes from some of the machines. Eventually, we worked our way to the mini golf area. It's been a few years since I've been here so my memory is a bit sketchy of the layout. But this place has your typical 18 holes. I believe the 18th hole is one where you can try to get you ball in a certain area for a free game. I can't say I ever won that prize but the price of admission is cheap enough that you don't feel bad for making a crap shot. The course itself is pretty spacious and sprawling. Each hole feels distinct and away from the next one that you never feel like you will be bumping in to people playing at the adjoining hole. I've had that happen a few other places. During my visit in 2011, I remember making a hole-in-one shot on the 15th hole. I took a victory shot with the number out of excitement. I suck at mini-golf so to get a hole-in-one was a miracle. Or black magic. Or luck. It was one of those 3 things. I came back in 2016 to add this place to my Travel List and... I almost got another hole-in-one on the 15th hole. How awesome would that have been! I did some close on a few of the other holes but no dice. My girlfriend and I get pretty competitive during a game of mini-golf. We usually make a bet before we begin for ice cream and I usually end up having to pay. At least its a delicious loss. They do offer bowling here as well. I like to dabble in a game or two but I've honestly never played here. There is also a bar but I've also never used it, so I don't have much to say beyond that. Should I get to experience either of these two things, I will update this post with information/photos. Mt. Hawley is one of my favorite places to go for mini-golf. I'm not sure why but there's just something about this place that draws me to it. Maybe because it's usually not busy and they have some arcade games to play before or after partaking in mini-golf and/or bowling. Time to text my friends and see if anyone wants to beat me in mini-golf. read more

I have bowled over 35 years at this establishment and the owner and staff that he employs are amazing. A great place to take your family miniature golfing and bowling. I wouldn't bowl any place else. read more

To start I had no previous bad experience going into this place, until last weekend when me and some friends found ourselfs having a good time bowling until the one manager got mad at us not once but twice for using a 5 and 10 pound bowling ball. No we weren't slamming it to the ground or being abusive toward it just using it. Both managers don't know how to dj and you can see their bias in music choice. read more

Mt Hawley Bowl is the best bowling alley in this area. They provide a great staff and family fun, such as Cosmic Bowl, league bowling. Spring, Sumner and Fall weather permitting has a awesome mini golf. read more

Came here with my girlfriend and a few people, one rainy afternoon. We decided to bowl a couple ga.ee a d got our shoes and was told to pay when we finished. We went to our lane and got going. However as we were setting up, we noticed it w as noted our picture for our player profile. As we started bowling, we also noticed it gave stars like ball speed and so on, which was pretty cool. For shoe rental and two games it was $10 a person, so not too bad. The drinks at the restaurant were normally priced for a bowling alley. This is a fun place for people of all ages, as they also have a nice mini golf course and a nice little arcade for little kids. Overall good experience and a neat place for a group outing. read more

It's not the most pristine but the prices are more than fair. $12 for shoes and 3 hours of laser bowling Friday nights. Last 2 times, no crowd and no wait. Concessions are cheap too Negatives: Claw machines stuffed The workers have never smiled in their lives. Recommend for parent & kids night out. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service on the phone. The man on the phone had no idea what he was talking about. He told me and my and my family to come at 4, so we left like 20 minutes before 4. And when we got there it was like 4:20. And when we got there we asked for some member ship passes. And he had no idea what he was talking about, and did not now how to use the technology. And when we asked to bowl he said " oh sorry please back at 5". But there were like 10 lanes open and he said there were "drink spills" all over the lanes from a birthday. I would not recommend that you should go here to bowl. I would recommend landmark lanes instead. read more

Unfortunately there aren't many other places in Peoria to go bowl. Staff is utterly useless. Have bowled in leagues there for 2 years, and it seems to get worse each week. Buss the guy working the counter acts as if you are putting him out when you ask for a lane to be fixed. Im not sure how you could employ such a miserable staff. they will do nothing to accommodate. they are rude. they blame your bowling ball for it being stuck in the lane. I guess it was too nice for their lanes? if you would like to bowl at a lane that acts as if they don't want you spending your money because it would require them to do work this is your place to go! The bartender is about the only bright spot of this establishment. if I were to make a suggestion it would be to sell the place to someone who will want to have customers in their establishment. I would say they will see this review but, I'm sure that would take too much work to read this. Awful. read more

Absolutely terrible service! The man behind the counter was rude to us from the first moment we walked in. We payed for a membership and he wouldn't honor it because he couldn't figure out how to use the technology. Don't waste your money here! read more
