I mistakenly ordered an item/christmas gift from pepetools that the recipient already had. I returned it at my own expense because it was my error. The item was tracked and delivered back to pepe. I called and told them that I didnt want a refund, just a credit so I could buy something else from them that the recipient didnt already have. They said the need to figure out if I would get a refund or credit, and would call me back in a day or two. No response after appx a month. I called back very politely and they gave me the same answer again. Another month later I called back. They said they would give me a gift card for $168 less than the purchase price as they were going to charge me a 25% restocking fee - which is absurd after making me wait for months to get an answer. And after all, it was 1 box that needed to be "restocked". The operator I was talking to was very friendly and was just relaying what somebody was telling her. Ultimately, they gave me $93 less than my original spend in 7 separate gift cards that were emailed to me. I simply cant keep going back and forth with this business. Long story short - I'll use the gift cards and never shop with pepetools again. Caveat emptor. read more

I had bought from Pepe Tools in the past. I had never had a problem with them until my last order that was sizeable. I talked to the president, Tony, before I ordered the Intelligent Plating system. He implied this would be an EASY system to use for a small jewelry designer. When we got the system, neither my husband nor I could understand how to use it even though we are used to reading and using complex systems. but was a sheet of paper. We decided the system was too much for our company. When I called back and talk to one of the employees to okay the return as it was past the return date, he okayed it. I spent over $1300 and $40 to return it. It was never used. When I did not get a call after tracking showed it was delivered, I called. No calls were returned for three messages. I finally emailed them. Three weeks AFTER it was delivered, I finally get a message from, David, stating that would not honor the return okayed by his employee. . He said his employee told me the wrong thing and asked me who it was. I said it was a man with a foreign accent. He did not deny they had this employee. He did not offer any solution in the email and a month later they have over $1300 of returned items without credit. BEWARE. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I ordered a jewelry welding tool less than 30 days ago which is what their return policy is. I called to get the exact location to send back to and Dave let me know that I may not get my full refund after they "inspect" it. I haven't even opened the box yet they still cannot give me my money back. The lady that answered their phones was very nice, but then she sent me to Dave. Dave was not helpful and kind of rude. David top notch one of the best in the business Here's my story, as a bench jeweler here In Hawaii I decided to take my work to a different level and was tossing back and forth getting an arc welder or laser welder. I decided I'd go with a laser! It's a very high valued tool and I wanted to get it from the best in the industry, I at first went with sunstone and they absolutely failed me on the sales and invoicing, I called them and they did indeed send me an invoice minutes later I said I'll buy one , no response back, I called the next day after I didn't hear anything back, the same sales person answered in a semi-sullen attitude and tone (I literally felt like I was the salesman on the conversation and he was the customer. Disgraceful) I asked for him to put it in my shopping cart, he said he would work on it. I never heard anything back from him nor got anything in my shopping cart. I called again to a very nice salesperson who informed they are out of stock and they'd get back to me but though had the audacity to ask for a partial payment (what a joke). So I decided to reach out to the famous pepetools, David went above and beyond his job to help me get this laser welder to my private office in Hilo Hawaii, I checked the time he was working with me knowing the time difference is around 5 hours, so literally he's working with me at midnight his time, he got the invoice off to me and shipped Lightning fast to my office. I've been working with this laser for days now and my life has improved to a very high degree since I can now safely work with platinum without using the blinder goggles needed due to the high temperature soldering of platinum metals. With this laser it's a simple zap zap zap and I'm done. David is one of the finest business representatives I've met and I've been in the business for many years working with most of the big names , I just wish I had started working with them years ago but you guys have my business for many years to come read more
